  1. Damn! Beat me to it! 1/2 size, full size, hell, I'd even take 2/3 size as long as they are the proper shape for 3 gun targets- head and shoulders. Do you guys bitch this much about IPSC classic targets? Shooting at cardboard with heads won't make you bleed any less in a gunfight. I want to shoot 6/3 cardboard with 8 heads and a alien growing out of its belly. LOL I am just with you on the hosers wanna hose comment..
  2. We are happy to announce the dates for the 2016 X-Treme Bullets and Freedom Munition Texas 3 Gun Championship at Copperhead Creek Shooting Club. The match will be April 8-10th of April, 2016. We are proud to welcome back X-Treme Bullets as well as to add Freedom Muntions as the title sponsors for this premier Central Texas match. We will be working hard to improve upon our inaugural match, which we believe was a great success. We will once again be hosting 10 stages, with a fun mix of bays and open terrain and a lot of shooting. There will be some changes to next years match that we will announce over time. The first major announcement is that there will be cash prizes for top finishers in addition to the prize table. Registration date will be announced later this year. We look forward to seeing you again next year and will be working hard to blow you away with next years match. Thanks Kurt Gruber
  3. That is correct. The plan was 20 but that wasn't in the rules and too late to make that change. I have always just left my UTV next to my trailer over night.. We have never had a problem.
  4. Yes there will be a zero range. MagnetoSpeed will also be staffing the zero range and providing demo's of their chronographs. They will be able to put their chrono on your gun in addition to their demo gun. Kurt

For those who can't make it on Thursday we will have registration available at 0600 for people in AM squads and 1200 at the Clubhouse. 7. It is best that you mail it in or what is even better is email Rhonda@copperheadclub.com and call the range and put the match fee on a credit card. We are trying to avoid dealing with registering walk ins. Copperhead Creeks phone number is 830-265-4950
  8. That was the intention, but it isn't there, and it is too late to make a change. Game on in Heavy Optics...
  9. Getting close to the match. Less than 2 weeks until lead will fly. A couple of reminders and some info. 1. Registration and stage walkthroughs will start at 1600 on Thursday and run until 1900. 2. If at all possible, bring a soft gun case to use when being shuttled to the stages that you won't be able to drive to (6,7,8). You will be shuttled to these stages from a central location and will need to bring everything that you need to shoot whichever of those stages you are scheduled to shoot that day along with you. 3. If you have one, a UTV or ATV will make your life a little easier. We are going to work our butts off on the shuttle service, but always good if you can shuttle yourself. (If you are on an ATV/UTV without a roll cage you will need a helmet). 4. Shooters meeting for AM Friday will be at 0645. Shooter Meeting for PM Friday will be at 1245. 5. I am working on finalizing the squadding and hope to get it sent out by Wednesday this week (4/15). Please remember that the Staff are there working for you and show them the appreciation they deserve. Please remember that we couldn't do any of this without the support of our awesome sponsors. Please remember them when making your purchases. http://www.ar15target.com/championship/sponsors See you on the range.
  10. A little bit of an update. 3 weeks until the match. At this point we have 16 in Heavy Optics, 12 in Limited, 17 in Open, 24 in Ladies division, and 135 registered in Tac Optics. See you on the range.
  11. Steel, either full sized IPSC or C-Zones. Fixed. Nice catch thanks. Didn't you select a schedule on your application? The Squad lists will come out a week or so before the match. Squads 1-10 are AM/PM/AM and Squads 11-20 are PM/AM/PM. If you are Jeff Marshall you are on AM/PM/AM..
  12. Yes we will open up for registration at 1600 (possibly earlier, we will let you know). You can come look at/walk through stages any time after that as long as you don't get in the way of the RO match.
  13. As noted above, the stages are posted on the website. http://www.ar15target.com/championship/rules-and-stages
  14. No.. Why would I want to do that? There are .308 divisions. The reason is why the mag rules don't change with the times.
  15. So I can't help but notice that all of the major match rule sets still cap Heavy divisions at 20 rounds. I am wondering why that is. .40 round PMags and 60 round Surefire mags are the norm in .223 divisions now. Now that you can throw a base pad on a 25 round .308 pmag and get 31 rounds in the mag, why haven't the rules for heavy divisions caught up like they have in other divisions. Just wondering what everyone thinks about that.
  16. Just one question really quick for Heavy. Rule 5.5.3.5 says "Magazines may be loaded with no more than 20 rounds at the start signal". Does that mean we can use 25 round mags with base pads as long as they only have 20 rounds in them? Thanks, Kurt
