  1. I sold them, but the width is pretty uniform.
  2. Welcome from San Diego as well, where do you shoot?
  3. The groups open way up past ten yards, the heavy plate are better, but still only half way to Montana Gold.
  4. I had a 9mm V12 once upon a time and didn't care for it; it had to be loaded pretty hot to make major and was pretty violent. If I had one today I'd pull the comp off the second barrel and replace it with a good comp and 2-3 holes.
  5. I have sold the last of my 38s, now I'm all nine!
  6. You can get an Arredondo one w/o holes cut it to fit the depression in the frame and move the rest forward.
  7. It doesn't have a lever, so it's lighter, can't be bumped to inadvertently lock the slide open and it's cheaper: $9 vs $35 Slide lock reloads are for IDPA guys, Open shooters race with suicide doors!
  8. The above are all mine, but this one belonged to Henning:
  9. I have a bullet feeder on my 650 and love it! I actually took the bullet feeder off my auto drive 1050 which I sold in favor of the 650
  10. I'd be more interested in a Mini Bullet Feeder style turret filled with primers
  11. I leave it open. I thought about welding it closed, but I'd have to recut the slide rail through the weld ant that's just too much trouble. I've seen people put a little grip tape over the hole which looks clean.

  13. It depends, last night a friend asked to shoot one of my guns at the last minute so i skipped the post load tumble and since I like to test fire after disassembling which I couldn't do this morning, I gauged the ammo with a spare barrel lying in my parts bin which had a short throat. I had quite a few not drop out probably due to an OAL slightly too long due to variations in the bullets or some gunk on the case. I have quite a few guns, so it's hard to keep track of all their throat lengths. One day I'll buy a reamer and ream them all the same, but I say the same thing about pulling weeds in the back yard: one day... Last night I set aside ~10%, but I'd be surprised if any don't actually fire in practice. Usually I have ~1-5% not pass in my main gun.
  14. It all depends where you want to spend your time. Chasing brass at a match really distracts me and takes away from the enjoyment, which is why I'm moving to exclusively 9 major over 38 super; the idea of marking and retrieving my 9mm brass makes me dizzy. I also don't sort headstamps or roll size, I scoop up piles of random brass at an indoor range, tumble, load, tumble. I then gauge each round in my barrel before it goes into the plastic box I take to the match. I hold the barrel pointing up, slip the rount into the chamber and if it drops out free, it goes in the box, if not I flick it out into a bucket to be used in practice. Then I scan the headstamps to check primers and relegate stepped cases to the practice bucket. I then have match ammo which has already been in the chamber of my pistol. The practice ammo generally works fine too, but the match ammo works flawlessly.
  15. I'll measure for you, but I'm certain it's not as big as 0.400", more like 0.375".
  16. How many rounds of major ammunition have you fired from your guns? ~20K rounds, but spread over multiple guns with no single gun firing more than say 10K
  17. Where did you get that idea? As far as I know the CM was designed as and is only available in 9mm.
  18. If you want to build a CZ Open gun, use a thumb safety model, you can convert a decocker gun to SAO. So you want to build a CZ Open gun?
  19. It's just not a very good comp design, so it's not going to shoot very flat.
