  1. Is that a shot at me Sarge? Or are you feeling defensive because I teased you about your grammar?
  2. plain and simple Sarge... That's just my advise
  3. Honestly, I have a few 8s, a six and a four and can't remember which is which. The max intensity is different from sight to sight and I control the size of the dot with the click switch: all the way up for hosed stages, turned down for long shots.
  4. I experienced a 5% increase in velocity from my 4.1" to 5.1" barreled Open guns so maybe 135 PF?
  5. I use one and love it, put them on everything now!
  6. I think you'd love the Tanfoglios, my hand is just under 10" by that measurement and they fit me like a glove with the factory sized grips (thin grips are too small for me)
  7. 9 Major was the first thing I ever loaded: not a single issue.
  8. I don't count shots with numbers, just with pops, if I need to fire six shots during my walkthrough I hear pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop in my head to ingrain the rhythm; I think the words one, two, three, four, five, six require too much though. Then again I've never paid attention to how fast my splits nor practiced shooting them faster. I GM I've shot with a few times pointed out that the best shooters didn't have fastest splits, but their splits were almost the same as their transitions. They shot with a smooth rhythm: pop, pop, pop, pop instead of the guys who were more concerned with splits: plap-plap... Plap-plap.
  9. I like 100s, but the only trouble is they're really short so the don't feed well in all guns. I have Xtreme plated bullets in all three sizes send me a PM and I'm sell you a small sample pack of each at cost.
  10. There may be a short learning curve where you can shoot your Limited gun faster than your Open gun, but not long. There's a reason dots and comps are not allowed in Limited: because they offer a competitive advantage. If I can draw and shoot six pieces of steel in 4.6 seconds with my Limited gun, I can shoot the same array in 4.0 seconds with my Open gun. So yes, unless you're uniquely handicapped with the dot, you'll shoot faster with an Open gun.
  11. All my Open guns have sideways cmores so I don't know any different, but I've never struggled with the dot; I draw and shoot, it's always where I expect it to be. In a matter of days you'll shoot an Open gun faster than an iron sighted gun; just point and click.
  12. Thanks for clearing that up Nik, so it was a factory gamer gun for practical shooting, just not USPSA Production.

    Comp for CZ 75B

Spring was talking about making some here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=193961&page=1
  14. I dunno, I might argue the G34 was designed specifically with USPSA Production in mind.

    Comp for CZ 75B

The trouble is that the 75B 9mm utilizes a smaller barrel than the Czechmate, the TS, the Shadows, etc, so it's a little more difficult on the comp front. The barrel you need is this one: http://czcustom.com/cz-75-9mm_barrel-standard-extended.aspx, but it's tough to find it in stock, CZ USA just ran out.

Are you making an Open gun? I've been doing a lot of experimenting lately
  18. This thread got me thinking about a fried of mine I met on the CZ Forum, he's kindred spirit living on the other side of the planet
  19. I loaded some HS6, just to experiment and save my precious SP2 and damn! you can see it flip considerably more in the video (to be fair these loads are closer to 165pf than 170+, so they might flatten out with more powder):
  20. That's how I fell in love with the fixed rear of the TS (I even put it on my Tanfos!)
