  1. The LimPro is not drilled and tapped for a thumb rest, but I do use an Arredondo on my Limited
  2. I prefer the Limited Pro to the Stock II, I have a Stock III now so time will tell... ETA: the only con would be the extra weight of the Stock III, otherwise it's identical to the Limited Pro (except with the shorter ambi safeties and crappy blued finish).
  3. I've got a Stock III I'm planning to work over with every trick up my sleeve and see how it can match up against my Shadow Target.
  4. It's not the block that makes the trigger inferior, the Tanfo FPB is a better design than CZ, its the short hammer spring.
  5. Wow! Under $1,100 for a 9mm Stock III, get some!
  6. I've never timed my fastest splits
  7. Because the "violence" comes from not only the recoil force, but also the sound, heat and light, combined with the force of the slide impacting the frame and many other factors. You can have soft and flat together to a degree, but in my experience more weight/length comes with it; there are a million and one trade offs to be made and only you can decide what you prefer.
  8. Me too! The only downside is the comp designs and the extra weight, but I'm working on it...
  9. Put it in the freezer. I catch the front sight on the edge of a saw horse then hit the front of the slide with a rubber mallet.
  10. To everyone having trouble finding the dot: are you using an upright Cmore or a horizontal? I started Open with a horizontal mount and have never had dot issues, nor and issues shooting irons on the same day.
  11. My plan is to enlarge the first port, maybe add side bleeders to the end port, then drill three holes at 12 o'clock (1/8" at first, then maybe 3/16"
  12. This is a custom racker which came on a used slide I bought.
  13. I can't seem to bring myself to shoot anything but Open, so I've decided to phase out my .40 gear, does anyone have a 9mm Limited top end there interested in upgrading to major?
  14. When I first started shooting I had grand plans for top end swapping, multi-division guns, then I shot Open and haven't really shot anything else for over two years ETA: I do however enjoy tuning DA Production guns, so I have a handful of those two. I loan them to new shooters and figure is I ever need a break from Open I would shoot Production. I recently started selling all my Limited guns, once they're gone, so goes the dies and components, then I'll only be loading 9mm and the occasional 38.
  15. LimPro is 1/4" longer, so it doesn't lock in right.
  16. Have you looked at the Allchin that screws to the bottom of the mount?
  17. I've used a modified air soft thumb rest, but the harwar was junk and broke. I think the best choice at the moment is the Arredondo rest w/o mount holes.
  18. Isn't it a little silly to expect the cheapest bullets AND the highest level of consistency?
  19. Great writeup Brian, I too agree a FPB CZ can be awesome (I have a beginners' guide to tuning them here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191773),but I do want to clear up something: the Tanfoglio firing pin block works differently than the CZ block in that it doesn't increase the reset, nor compress a spring in the DA stroke; the block moves down instead of up, so it's spring is being released, rather than compressed like the that of the CZ.
  20. http://henningshop.com/products/tanfoglio-recoil-spring-by-wolff-gunsprings You can cut these down to fit
