I haven't loaded it in 38, but in 9 it's close to WAC, maybe a hair harder in the hand.

If you're using it for minor I would think a lighter bullet and a bigger charge of slower powder would be the ticket. I would try 100gr or 115gr over something like Longshot, 'Lilgun, N105, etc.

This should really be over here! Man I really like this setup! I've always been anti slide mounted dot, but it was easy to draw, easy to track and very light! I'm going to mess around with a few of my other comps, but I definitely want to shoot my next match with this dot.

This one uses a dovetail adapter, so no machining required; to employ back up iron sights you'd need some custom work and taller sights.

Is CZ the dominate Production choice now?
kneelingatlas replied to Blue Jacket's topic in USPSA/IPSC Shooting
Yes, a lot of the top guns are shooting CZs and Tanfoglios -

It has a recess for the bushing.

I know what you're thinking, it's tiny, it's no big name 2011 comp, but it works decent. I ran it from 120-170PF and they all felt about the same: like a soft minor load from an SP01.ETA: I'm pretty sure the width is to match the 75B narrow slide.

Strength, tune-ability, and looks. It started out mostly closed, then I figured, I would shoot it, open it up and I could tune the side to side by making one side bigger than the other and get it to track straight up and down.

All things being equal I'm still going to stick to my 5% per inch estimate, at least for my purposes: using slow powders in Open guns with barrel lengths between 4" and 6". This figure is based upon my results using barrels of the same make and rifling, so I think whatever role the barrel plays should be neutral. Now between CZ barrels, STI barrels and Schumann barrels I see huge variations

Have you gotten the sides of the hammer and corresponding areas of the frame? With 2000 grit?

I suspect the burn rate of the powder also has an effect. Garret, were you using a relatively small charge of fast powder? Perhaps if the charge reaches peak pressure before the bullet leaves the barrel there isn't much to be gained with more length. I have a few Open guns with 4 1/2" barrels which really take a hit in velocity when compared to 5 1/2" barrels, but I'm using large charges of slow powder and I suspect I'm not burning the entire charge before the bullet exits the barrel (queue large fireball!).

I welded a bridge across the fourth port and opened up the sides too, big improvement. Did you do all the mods at once or try it between each one? I haven't messed with side bleeders much yet, but I'm interested

Dillon 550 I'm pretty sure you can adjust the height of the ram which seats the primer so you can really lean on it. I load on a 650 and I slightly flatten the primers in their pockets.

It sounds like something is rubbing, I've had it happen; it just takes a little thinking to figure out where to file.

Is the Shadow frame the same as the 75b SA? The physical frame is, but the Shadow has the extended mag release and one piece sear.

CTS: TS upper on 75 Shadow frame.

The slide is unmodified and it's made of aluminum. The idea was a bolt on solution like a Glock.

It wouldn't do you any good as a backup it's too short to co witness.
