Oh yeah, another good part of this is that the shirts are not made in China!
-
All, I have been doing some research for custom made shirts for our club and ran across this place EmblazonPoint I uploaded my artwork and told them where and what I wanted on the shirts and I had them in hand in short order. I have since ordered 12 more shirts from them and expect them within a week or so. I explained to them there might be quite a few of us who want customized shirts for Nationals and our local clubs and they said they could handle it all. These are 100% Polyester shirts that are moisture wicking, very light and have anti-microbial and anti-stain features. The shirts with the colored stripes down the sides have small venting holes in them to keep you cool. The Polo's are a bit heavier and don't have the vent holes but are still very cool! If you want to stand out in the crowd give these folks a chance, they have been great to me and the price is much less than some other custom shirts I have had made. Lee Check these out! I love these shirts!

Nick, You can shoot one of my open guns to get a feel for it. I think you will find you will want a dedicated unit when you get the feel. I have 2 IDPA SV's, 2 Limited SV's and 2 STI Open Guns just so I am not always swapping parts. If you make your current LTD gun a dual purpose unit you will probably have holes drilled in the side for a C-More mount (ugly). If you just look around and see how many people shoot a J-Point or Docter sight you won't find too many. I think there is a reason though I have never used one for more than 5 minutes. I just didn't like it as much as the C-More setup. Luke, come to the Darkside...screw that front sight, you don't see it anyway! Lee

How much to ask?
lneel replied to prreed10's topic in Miscellaneous Topics That Do Not Fit in Any Other Forum
$5 and I will take it.....just kidding. I would think $250 and it would go fairly quick. -
Superimpose video software
lneel replied to Sandro's topic in Computers, Cameras, and Electronic Devices of Any Kind
Pinnacle Studio 10+ will do it. Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7 and higher is a little easier to use but it is much more expensive. -
USGH=DQ Booger Hook on Bang Switch while not actively engaging target is USGH. I doubt a target was under the table thus the shooter was not actively engaging a target. This would get you a DQ at a big match anywhere and I don't mean DQ HungerBuster

Too skinny for me....I am use to bigger things than that!

Which IB finish is that?

Been working hard to get M in Limited and while at a 6 stage special classifier I did it. I also made A in Open for real with a 76.63% instead of just getting A because I am M in Limited. Pretty good as that was my 5th match with an Open Gun! Lee My M Card

2008 Texas State IDPA Championship
lneel replied to Sailor's topic in Match Announcements - Pistol Only - USPSA, IPSC & Misc.
This match now has over $19,000 worth of prizes with 13 guns on the table! 12 Stages and 204 rounds, it will be a fantastic match! Only 1 "Stand and Deliver" type stage and you will actually have to move from side to side on it. The rest are all moving stages with a lot of interesting prop useage. Come have some fun. -
Not too big for me. Verizon FIOS baby....It downloaded in 53 seconds! Good video...

The best price for 45acp and 9mm bullets right now?
lneel replied to K45's topic in General Reloading
Well, I have looked alot and have found Precision Delta 115gr FMJ @ $67/1000 the least expensive and their 230gr .45 FMJ also to be the least expensive delivered at $126/1000. I just can't say cheapest at these prices! -
I think it was done because there is definite performance differences across the divisions in IDPA. Meaning each division is a match in itself more so than a USPSA...CDP specifically is at a advantage in a slide lock reload vs an ESP shooter who has to stow a mag at a reload point. With that said there is also a fair chance an EX might beat all the MA shooters in a division, should he get 1st Place EX or Division Champ? While it is a bit weird it is ok in my opinion....and yes, I have won several DC trophies and have also received 1st Place MA (i.e. 1st Place loser)...just my opinion...YMMV.

C-More sight, model ARW-4, this is the new all aluminum body,
lneel replied to timamal's topic in Open Pistols
Well, it will probably survive a bit longer than the plastic version... -
Are the Grams springs and followers worth the $$$
lneel replied to swandme's topic in 1911-style Pistols
Well, you don't say for what kind of shooting. For USPSA Limited/Limited 10/Open where you don't want to lock the slide back....yes, Grams are worth every cent. Very reliable and usually get a round extra. For IDPA, I only use STI mags with STI followers and springs. They just work better than trying to get the Grams shelf to always lock the slide back without still having 1 round in the mag. I have gotten them to work but not 100%. As far as mag tuning....I guess I have just been lucky. All my mags just work. Lee -
Anyone use both a Dillon and "Cheap" case tumbler?
lneel replied to steveknapp's topic in Miscellaneous BEginners
I have a Lyman 1200 and a Dillon CV-500. Both get the job done but the Dillon is a bit quieter and a more solid unit. -
In my opinion, Starline is the best quality brass available for pistol calibers... Lee

In 9major you can't get enough of a slower burning powder in the case to make major. That's why .38 Super is more flexible. YMMV...
-
9major is only for Open. In Limited, the minimum caliber for major is .400. In my opinion, it is a run the engine cost issue....9mm once fired brass is readily available and ~1/4 the cost of new .38 Super brass. The reason I don't use it is that your chioces for powder are much smaller. You must use a fast burning power to push a 115/124gr bullet to major velocities. While in a .38 Super you can use the same powder or a slower powder which may work beter in a particular gun. Stockton does have a good point that if you start with a 9major you can always have it reamed to a .38 Super if you find it doesn't work well for you.

The North Texas Practical Shooters USPSA club will be holding a Special Classifier match on May 10th, 2008 at the Jacob's Plain Gun Club in Greenville, TX. This match will be 6 classifiers! There will be 2 run and gun comstock classifiers and 4 infrequently seen stand and deliver classifiers. The planned stages and further information can be viewed at NTP Shooters website.

One thing I do to speed things up and as to not get a cramp is to turn the barcode scanner to stay on and just hang it off the side of the table. I then just drag the scoresheet barcode under it and enter the time/penalties. I use it for local matches mainly just to keep from having to sort them by stage. Makes it a bit easier. For a match with more than 50 people I don't think I would do it any other way.

"lneel, is that the progressive comp on your gun? I was thinking about that one for my new gun. What load are you shooting out of it?" Yes, it's Gary's #13 in Stainless Steel. My load is 8.5gr 4756 with a 124gr Montana Gold CMJ @ 1.1257"
-
Yeah, I got big hands but my last stippling job was just ok and I don't want to jack this gun up. I might just send it to someone to have a real stippling job done on it.

When he makes master in IDPA AND passes all his classes...while I have the $$$$ set aside, the latter is his biggest current problem. What blanket??? All I see is one SWEET blaster!
