  1. Please, no comments about previous matches. This one is going to get Area 4 back to where it needs to be. Trophies will be at the match I can assure you. Lee
  2. Oh yeah, did we mention; JUNIORS shoot $FREE$ with a paid adult? Bring those young ones out, this is going to be fun! Lee
  3. Well, first he is 16 and he will go from 2nd "B" Open Junior to 1st "A" Open Junior as Area 4 missed counting as a Classifier for 2 months now and I might have goofed last months Classifier scores due to me not reading the StageScore manual closely enough. Lee
  4. Come out and get classified in a new division or get your self bumped....gonna be alot of fun! 5 classifer stages and 2 field courses. Stages can be found on the Match Schedule page. www.ntpshooters.org Lee Oh yeah, forgot to add that we will be scoring using the new StageScore software on Palms and will have portable thermal printers to print out stage results and squad lists. Very, very cool stuff...
  5. Well, I always say you can never have too many SV's. This one has been hiding out in a safe in PA for 5 years. It was never taken out for a ride. It came with (4) 140mm magazines but will be paired up with a big stick soon. Little pictures below and BIG ones available on my website. www.commencefiring.com Oh yeah, one of our local shooters (thegirl) has a IMM with 4 holes in the barrel doesn't have the loudest Open gun anymore...Brandon told me this thing will take 11gr 3N38 to make Major....BOOM, BOOM!
  6. Awesome looking blaster, I mean BLASTER!. I bet that thing would take 17gr (kiddin') of 3n37 to make major though....WOW!
  7. No holding back.....I am pissed. It does not take > 2 months to get trophies made. I am calling him right now and I suggest everyone else who is due a trophy or wants the match to count as a classifier do the same. He cell number is at http://www.uspsa4.org/ . Well, I just talked to him and he states the trophies should go out in a week or so (ha!). He also said the match should count as a classifier for Open and Limited but didn't provide any details. To be fair he did appologize for the delays but I won't accept it unless the trophies do show up in the next 10 days nor if the match isn't on the USPSA website prior to the next classifier run. I am shocked that an Area match was run this way.....too bad as it was a great match with very good stages run by good RO's.
  8. Yes, I have it up and running....for a beta it is actually very nice. It is Vista streamed down and cleaned up so do not expect too much different than what you have.
  9. No, Appendix D2 it is a recoil reducing device. 22 Prohibited modifications External modifications or features such as weights or devices to control or reduce recoil (such as but not limited to thumb rests or components which could be used as such).
  10. 180gr Precision Delta FMJ with 3.5gr TiteGroup at 1.140" for ~135PF minor loads and same with 4.5gr for Major. As always, YMMV.
  11. The classic Ford vs Chevy question.....I will try to head this one off. 9mm, if you can find a 'smith or know how to make them run, they are just fine. .38 Super, been around the Open gun game longer, (yes, I know 9x21 and 9x23 have been around as long but Super is more common), seem to be easier to make run, magazines work without spacers for both SV and STI magazines and the larger case allows for more choices in powder. One of our local GM's built his own 9mm Open gun and uses SV magazines and it runs like a top. His take, and I agree, is at least if you build a 9mm and it doesn't work to your liking it can be reamed out to a Super but you can't go the other way without a new barrel. Buy SV magazines and the whole process to convert is really simple. With that said, I have 3 Super guns as STI magazines are much more readily available and I like trying fast powders and slow powders as well. The only other point that comes up is that 9mm brass is more common. I always use new brass for Major matches so there is relatively no difference there. For local matches and practice I seem to be able to pickup as much as I shoot.
  12. You can shoot this match as Unclassifed and be just fine. Lee
  13. The match is not full and yes, you can show up, pay, and shoot on Sunday. (Scorekeeper Lee)
  14. Gary is awesome.....I sent him a box of parts and had an Open gun delivered back to me in less than 2 weeks. It runs like a top! I used to to place 90th at Nationals.....I assure you it was not the guns fault. Lee GANS Enterprises
  15. I bought a "40lb" bag from http://www.mcmaster.com/ 32725K61 Corn Cob Abrasive Blasting Media 10-14 Mesh Size, 40 lb Bag In stock at $25.56 Each shipping was about $14 so I was a bit disappointed until it showed up as 50 lbs instead of the 40 lbs I thought it was. Very fine and works great with Nu Finish car wax from Wally World. Lee
  16. Spoke with Brandon today and the first magwell version is ready. Probably see a grip in a couple of weeks. They are out next week for the 3 Gun Nationals. Lee
  17. Stupid is when you are to dumb to know you are f#&^ing stupid. I was sitting at a red light a few months back when a little dim wit girl ran into the back of me and hit me square on my trailer hitch. All the energy was transfered to my truck and felt like I got hit by an 18 wheeler. I got out and my truck had only a slightly bent down bumper. Her little POS Suziki was leaking fluid everywhere and she said she didn't see me. I was sitting there at a dead stop for 15-20 seconds, at a RED light! Stupid! I hopped back in my truck and drove off while her dump a$$ was calling Daddy for some help
  18. Well it's too late now but there is a reason I had to go elsewhere..... http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...c=68411&hl= Lee
  19. Up to a point, a heavier bullet going slower will give more of a push rather than a slap in recoil. Depends on what you like.....I like a 200gr bullet but the cost difference makes a 180gr feel just fine to me. Lee
  20. When I was about 18 I bought a '72 Chevelle. It was far from perfect and I am sure I added 50 lbs of Bondo to make it remotely straight but I loved that car. I had a buddy who really wanted one too and we ran across a near perfect '72 Gold Chevelle in a car lot. He didn't have the cash to buy it at the time but I did. I "owned" it for a few weeks until he sold his old POS truck. After a while we replaced the vinyl top with a black one and sprayed a beautiful Candy Brandwine on it. I wanted that one back. I ended up selling mine as it wasn't pratical with a wife and new baby. I went from a 500 horse Chevelle to a 140 horse Cavilier....ouch. Anyway, I later found out my buddy sold his Chevelle without letting me know....feel like I lost out on two fun cars. After my kids get done with college, I will have another one, or two...I think a 572 crate motor in one sounds about right.....only about 6 years to go.... Some how I don't think $1800 is going to buy one again though...
