  1. I have a 16" Mid-gas Wilson combat barrel, syrac adj gas block and JP low mass. Gas block turned all the way down still locks back. I can't say that it is noticeably softer than full mass, non adj gas. But--I've never shot a similar set up in rifle length, and I'm a middle of the pack shooter. It looks great, and works fine but Im not sure the benefit for me justified the cost. Bigger gains came from changing from a chrome lined mil spec barrel to the Wilson, and having JP install their trigger. Just one mans opinion, and YMMV.
  2. 4.2 gr bullseye 124 gr MG JHP 1.15 OAL Makes minor PF out of my stock G17
  3. Seems expensive for what it is. Appears to be a marketing ploy to cash in on the growing popularity of 3gun.
  4. Ok, I'm no help since (thankfully) I have yet to experience that problem!
  5. What is the current one doing (or not doing) that makes you want to replace it? More info on the current set up would also be helpful.
  6. Slight thread drift, but you mention lead projectiles being loaded for a glock. Have you done some research on that combo? If not, I would suggest doing so.
  7. Why 3 pistol mag holders? With extensions it would be pretty rare to need 4 mags (assumes make ready mag in pocket). Granted I've never shot other than local club matches, but usually get by with one each rifle/pistol mag holders on the belt. Shooting a glock with Dawson extensions and a fully loaded 30 round pmag is plenty. I guess ironman or similar might need more.....
  8. You can either buy an upper or a dedicated rifle. If you just do an upper you'll need to buy an adapter that goes into the lower to accept the pistol caliber magazine. For me this seemed like a hassle, so I went with a dedicated rifle using glock mags. Less hassle and I already have the mags for my G17. Lots of variables including budget, and what you already have.
  9. Lone wolf AR in 9mm uses glock mags, which works well since I also shoot a G17. Now if only WA would approve one of the pending SBR bills I'd be set!
  10. Working for me if this posts. ETA--wahoo, it's back!
  11. Or the Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 http://swfa.com/Vortex-1-4x24-Viper-PST-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P51719.aspx
  12. Website shows a list of $1199 - what's the street price? At that type of list it may make sense to pony up the extra coin and go for the Vortex Razor which is highly thought of.
  13. I had the same issue, and went with the Lee "U" die. I load mixed range pick-up and rejects went way, way down. Occasionally see one that once gauge or one that fails during sizing. The other thing that helps is using One shot or other case lube.
  14. Practically any AR will work. Much of how well depends on the shooter and how well it lines up with the division you are shooting. It looks like the DD V4 has a quadrail, which isn't ideal for 3Gun.
  15. Use a carriage bolt and some conveyor belting.
  16. Just upgraded to v2.4.0 on iPhone. Now I can't open benos, but other forums work fine. Deleted the forum link, reinstalled and cleared cache. None of which did anything. Help!!
  17. Typically m193 should be ok. Check with a magnet to be double sure. Some matches may frown on it as it is high velocity. But by definition, m193 is 55gr fmj. You may be thinking of m855 which is steel core.
  18. Production (I'm right in the middle of "C" class) 40 pts 7.51 sec HF - 5.3262
  19. Yup! Gets a little crowded for 3 gun, but works fine for production.
  20. 4.1 gr Bullseye @ 1.15 makes minor power factor easily out of my G17.
  21. Registration is open...... Looks like my info got through - still 295 spots open according to the banner in the middle of the page.
  22. You can also order straight from Seekins. That's what I did, and it worked out fine. When I bought mine, no one had them in stock, and Seekins accepted a back order. I'm not totally sold on the flat bottom, it isn't really the advantage I thought it would be. It is different, looks good and is a quality product so I'm not unhappy with it.
  23. Lightweight profile. Originally I wanted a Nordic 18" rifle gas, but they weren't available. I got impatient and found the Wilson on another forum at a decent price.
