  1. Double checked everything looks good. The swing arm that activates the primer slide needed to be aligned. Did this by loosening then rotating toolhead counterclockwise then retightening. Same deal. <Argh> I separated the crimped brass (that was uniformed) from the uncrimped. All uncrimped brass ran through it like a champ. I figure not matter what you do to crimped brass like reaming and uniforming, I will have probs. I can see little ringlets of brass from bad seated primers. I know Dan Seripina has a counter sink doohickie that takes out the flange entirely on the primer pocket rim. Cant find a manufacturer that makes one of those. Tossing all the Lake City brass.
  2. The 1/8" rubber tube on the slide was replaced as well. nip replaced again. Still getting sideways. Shim the primer slide stop??
  3. I have recurring problems on my super 1050 loading .223, specifically primer seating. Thought it might be a combination of mil crimped brass and some worn out parts. Uniformed all the primer pockets on the brass and changed out all the parts on the 1050. Still getting smeared seating or sideways primers in the primer slide. Made the table rigid to eliminate smearing and finnally inspected primer punch. It was bent so I replaced it. Now I have even worse problems with every other primer falling sideways into primer slide. Primer tube nip is new as well. Is my primer slide bunged and need to be replaced or is it that CCI makes primers slightly out of spec?
  4. Did you wipe all the packing grease off then lube? Manual says to also lube spring and seal on gas piston (lightly). Fully disassembled coat the inside of the reciever (lightly) with oil. Oil bolt assembly and rails. I use mobile 30W synthetic. I also used slide glide in the tube where the tang of the bolt assembly recoils into. (sorry for bad terminology).
  5. Rocks are sweet but check on the wait. I have had Lilgas and like them.
  6. Is the ext. tactical compliant for 3-gun? (Noob question) Installed the Nordic comp. bolt carrier handle last night from CPWSA. Very pleased with the quality of the item.
  7. Good question. CPWSA has Nordic Comp. charging handles.
  8. Eeager +1. Not sure if "most" stones are calcium oxylate. I have had 100+ kidney stones and 2 surgeries. So far, calcium citrate tabs daily to bind the oxylate and an elimination of foods high in oxylates has worked. Increased hydration has never worked for me (dilution is the solution) where the issue is a metabolic (metamorph) precipitate.
  9. michelin ltx/ms last a looooooong time. Quiet on highway and good in snow. I get lots of footage every winter in the rockies. Another is the Bridgestone Revo, though they may have discontinued that tire. Tundrasolutions.com has alot of threads dedicated to this topic.
  10. Shot my new FN today. Really nice. Not as soft as the Remi but my percieved cycling is much faster on the FN
  11. This is how I do it with Giraud Trimmer that trims and chamfers in one act. 1) Tumble Brass 2) Lube with hornaday one-shot 3) Size and de-prime. Set Sizing die as per case gauge ( I use a JP rifles case gauge with Wylde chamber). I set up my sizer on the 1050 and use the one stage to do this. 4) Trim and Chamfer on Giraud 5) while trimming check for dented brass, discard. 6) Clean primer pockets with steel brush (RCBS), check for dented brass, discard. 7) Clean lube off brass by rolling brass on cotton rags soaked with rubbing alcohol 8) utlizing sized .223 shell cut in half, adjust swager on 1050 and expander die to adequately remove crimp on all rounds. 9) Reload once OAL, Powder load, primer depth and crimp set on test rounds. I barely crimp on the bullet cannelure to avoid overpressure. 10) Case gauge all loaded bullets.
  12. Glad your aboard! Shoot that 1911 practical style!!
  13. Roger that. Divita noticed that on the digital coaching. DOH!
  14. I have a couple of loads that Enos members were kind enough to send me. Does anyone else have an OAL and powder grain load for the 55 fmj and VVN135? I have 25.3 and 25.4 data so far.
  15. I hope all goes well for your family
  16. This one is better. Rick Roll
  17. I am like you. Only have what you need. If it sits I sell it, and go buy reloading supplies. Nice idea to keep a gun on hand for new shooters. You may end up selling it to a new shooter that falls in love with the sport, then your doubley blessed.
  18. Is it hot in June or are you high enough? Might fly on down if Jimbo Lambo makes challenge..
  19. I got the certificate too. You might ask them if it will take longer than the 3-4 months stipulated on the certificate. If they wont ship to Canada, you can always sell it on the forums.
