  1. I use every type of brass. I only separate by crimp primers or not. Other than that I shoot it all.
  2. Don't record without permission and definitely do NOT post it on the internet. Some might like that and to others it may be a hazard.
  3. I used to use power pistol but it was loud, flashy, and dirty. Also the recoil was terrible (compared to clays, claydot, and even tite group). When used at the lower end of the powder charge I used to get unburned powder flakes on my hands and forearms. But this was years ago so maybe something changed.
  4. My SP-01 will also load out to 1.18 with the Xtreme 147 and 165. But beware that at this length you run a chance of accidentally activating the slide stop, locking the slide to the rear. Ask me how I know . This is the reason that many people will ream the barrel and reshape the slide lock to accept long loaded ammo. My load data Xtreme 147 .357 Titegroup 3.21 grain 1.145 OAL federal 100 SPP average velocity- 884 es-58 sd-17 power factor-130
  5. I'm in NW Florida. Honestly there are not many USPSA matches around here in Florida. People travel to Dothan, and Tri state gun club in Alabama. A range I'm a member of, K&M shooting center held a USPSA match last month and my continue to do so once a month. car pool is always an option.
  6. Looks good man. Doing all of your work on a manual mill? No cnc or DRO?
  7. I've found them to be charge for charge the same.
  8. Wow, good to have an alternative. I usually go federal but i would like to try others that work. How many did you test out? I have fired all 500 And 1000 more. I have had zero light strikes. I recently picked up 15000 more. I will continue to use the WPA primers for training and federal for big matches.
  9. I was given 500 WPA primers. And amazingly with the 8.5 hammer spring they all went off first time no problem. I might never buy another federal primer.

    CZ 75 XCR

Competition gun or not that is flat out legit. How do you plan to carry it?
  11. I have found the thicker the more accurate. That is why i use .357 diameter.
  12. I use a 10 pound recoil spring.
  13. I buy plated bullets for practice and small local matches. I don't have any problems with accuracy. I usually use Xtreme .357 diameter. But have been looking into the thick plated bullets from RMR bullets because they are usually cheaper.
  14. Zero JHP 147 3.2 gr Titegroup 1.145 oal Federal 100 primers 130 power factor 885 fps at 10 feet
  15. Not my thread. But Quack those diagrams and pictures are the most helpful I've seen when trying to figure out grip size between 1911 vs 2011. Thanks
  16. Kinda on a side note. Does anyone know where this happened? I want to know what the outcome was after an incident like this. Maybe other ranges could learn from this as well.
  17. I don't know if making every other shooter pay for an ROs oversight is the way to go. But I agree with having to personally call it a day.Yeah your right. But I would have gotten everyone together to address the situation right then and there. In order to make everyone aware of what happened and to inform all shooters that they need to pitch in to help the match run smoothly and safely.
  18. Flat out its illegal in all divisions except for NFS. If your talking about the stud that retains the back strap. It would be the same as a glock with the magwell filler made of brass. Do it right and pass on the brass version. I'm just guessing that your talking about the one sold by SSS. They also have a Steel version.
  19. I don't like these kinds of stages as they are "cover traps" and make it hard to really difficult to call cover and be fair. I always make the argument that speed is the enemy of cover as if you can out move the RO then cover cant be called correctly.
  20. Honestly with an incident like that I would most likely have shut the entire match down for the rest of the day.
  21. For the glock 19 have you looked at the magwell from Viking Tactics and SAI? It looks pretty slim while adding the features of a magwell. I have not had hands on or seen in person but I am going to contact them about the dimensions later today.
  22. Really? Slip up and say something FTDR worthy? Chances are that if he knew what he was doing was basically an FTDR do you honestly think he would "slip up" and say something FTDR worthy? At the end of the day its still a game he didn't do anything unsafe and the advantage gained was probably still minimal; but not the right thing to do if it was purpose.

    DQ?

DQ got my friend exactly like this at his first match. Luckily no one was hurt and it was the last stage so he got the majority of the experience.
  24. Forrest I agree with you on a couple things, but disagree that the caliber doesn't matter its my brass so I wan't it back. We have the same problem here in NW Florida. I actually got into an argument with a MD who from now on watches me brass for my self and myself only. While I brass I actually count the pieces I pick up to match the amount of shots fired in the string. Its very irritating but its what I'm willing to do as its my brass. A few other shooters who do not reload caught on to what he was doing and now give me their brass as well so now I'm bringing in eight times as much as i would if the MD wasn't a jerk. I agree that it all falls onto the shoulders of the RO to clear the range. When I lived in Arizona the majority of ranges would have the RO stay in the furthest point in the bay until until all of the "brassing", pasting, and resetting was done and would visibly clear from the furthest point back to the start point. Maybe that should be a rule ans its not hard to do as the RO needs to walk the stage in order to score all of the targets anyway.
