  1. 1 gun, 2 gun, 3 gun, tomahawk, throwing knives, and blow darts. It's all good! And good to have options. For the 98% of us that will never win a gun off the prize table, this is our passion and entertainment. I think there is room for everything.
  2. I have Strelok on my smartphone. Seems handy enough.
  3. Could be that we shoot our 3 gun stuff more as well.
  4. I've done it all with my 24" JM Pro. Go for it, just get a 7/16 wood dowel to make a plug.
  5. Can't wait! Gonna be cold, hope someone brings ipad gloves for the practiscore tablets.
  6. One more, 23 Nov at Rockcastle Shooting Center, USPSA. Spend the night and see 3 gun the next day. It's close to Glasgow. Nat a bad run from Campbell.
  7. No, I was wrong. I'm just excited! It was for this Sunday. Lol!
  8. Just saw a weather forecast. Windy!!! (Really windy!) Edit looked at wrong weekend Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  9. This whole thing has made me appreciate that I have plenty of local matches, with $20 or less entry fees, lots of targets, no prize table, and a Pilot station close by with hot dogs and slurpees for the ride home.
  10. Probably not. Great shotgun, but in my experience, will need some attention.
  11. Welcome! USPSA Saturday near Owensboro! orpci.org
  12. For a new 3 gunner, get a couple Choate 6 shell caddies. Only about $20 each. That will get you started, and you can learn weak hand loading. Then see what you like at the matches and go from there. You don't want to spend a bunch, and then find you don't like the caddy you bought. Plenty of shooters will let you try their caddy, and even teach you how to best use it. Load 2 has a short learning curve, after you find a caddy you like. Load 4 is similar. But you will never be wrong learning weak hand.
  13. Let's face it, if someone said slingshot at a multi-gun match, there would be a bunch of forked sticks hanging out of back pockets, a run on marbles, and some open guy mounting a dot on a titanium wrist rocket. We will shoot anything, anytime. It's how we roll.
  14. Some of this thread just makes my head spin, but at least I know when to schedule 2014 vacation!
  15. My friend and I drove there every month in the early 90's to shoot high power. Sadly, the KY National Guard kept my rifle. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  16. Sounds like a guy with years of rifle dope out to 600 yards from shooting high power in Tullahoma! (The ninja give you away!)
  17. I would shoot a true irons match, especially at the Rock. Besides, I need a reason to buy irons since I sacrficed my FSB installing a free float hand guard so I could use an optic.
  18. I would rather shoot a Texas Star than swingers. But I would rather shoot swingers than dry fire too.
  19. Really, I think you got this backwards. Tons easier to fish an AR mag out of your pocket than half a dozen shotshells.
  20. My advice is use what you have and get a couple $20 Choate 6 shell caddies, and carry extra AR mag in your back pocket. As you shoot a match or two, you can decide how you want to set up fou YOU. This way, you will get some weak hand loading skills, and then still be able to use a Choate for an oh crap shell holder if you decide on L2 or L4 caddies. Plus have an extra for the new guy that shows up. Just my .02
  21. I'm glad I didn't have to think about all this. I just started by using what I had, and continue to do so. If I ever get another, I would even use a Garrand and M1911. All the talk about who sponsors more, who has best prize table and how it should be awarded, makes me glad to be at the bottom of the food chain where just pulling the trigger lots of times is still the fun and attraction.
  22. That pin holds the shell stop/catch. You don't need to get into it to open the port enough.
  23. Order two. First it's all about the pistol, then next thing you know you have to try 3 gun, then there will be this practical shotgun match, and on and on. Maybe get 3, because, well, you know, there is always a friend that wants to go. Seriously, you can't go wrong with CR Speed or DAA.
