shadrach, Welcome to the forum. I shoot a G22 in Limited as well. I have G35, but I like the G22 better. The Arredondo mag extentions for the Glock are excellent and allow quick dissassembly for cleaning. Check them out. - there's a link in the dealer forum here on BE. The HiViz fiber optic front sight is inexpensive (about $25) and works with the stock rear sight. Just buy extra light pipes because they will break. Good luck.

I just got a good deal on a .223 Armalite 16” mid-length upper. It’s a post ban configuration with an Armalite factory comp on the barrel. Before I grind off the comp and thread the barrel, I figured I’d put some rounds through it and see how it felt. Has anyone shoot an AR with the Armalite factory comp on the barrel?

I agree with Jake. You gotta shoot, especially early on when you're working on your platform. Live fire shows you what works - then you can refine it and pound it into your subconscious with dry fire repetitions.

Thanks. Who makes 16" mid-lengths? Just Armalite and RRA? I believe all of Armalite's 16" barrels are mid length, aren't they?

I'm lazy about cleaning - that's why I like the bore snake.

My CM didn't need any gas port work. It doesn't like the cheap Wallmart stuff, but it churns through Win AA's - 2 3.4 dram stuff. Very soft.

Extremely tight primer pockets - I'd trash it.

I have a Browning Buckmark with a built in Pic rail. I put a cheap BSA dot on it and it works fine. It holds zero and is bright enough. Since it doesn't take a beating on the .22, I don't think you really need an expensive red dot.

Well said. BTW - Dave shoots many of our local matches in the Atlanta area. He is extremely nice, modest and friendly. If you didn't know who he was, you would never know that he's the US and World champion.

It depends on what Division you want to shoot - Limited, Lim 10 or Production. Production allows very limited mods. Limited and Limited 10 have the same rules, except you can only use 10 round mags in Lim 10. Do a search and you'll come up with lots of threads on Glock mods. Good luck.

Recently, I could not get either of my Glock 35’s (I have two) to reliably feed the last round of any of my four 140 mm mags. I tried everything to solve the situation: new followers, different mag springs, different recoil springs and weights, different bullets and OAL – but nothing solved it. Then, by chance, I cut two coils off of my ISMI 13 lbs recoil spring (Joe D on the board runs this trimmed spring and suggested it). They all now run 100%. I also feel that the G35 shots flatter and softer as well. It’s good to experiment

In a 16" barreled AR, does the mid-length gas system make much difference in feel as compared to a traditional carbine length gas system (i.e., smoother operation and less bucking around)? If so, how much difference? Please assume that each barrel is in identical in weight. I've seen some comments on other threads, but I'd like a thread directly on point. Thanks.

Well, the sunset of the AWB significantly lowered the price of Glock mags. Will it have any effect on the price of S_I mags or will the price stay about the same?

. . . and "hi cap" can now be replaced with "standard cap" for describing mags. My Glock mags should now go for $20 instead of $100.

kamakiri, Interesting predictions. I shot the Ala State match this year with Pete Milionis. He is a very strong Production shooter and I would not be surprised to see him place this year.
