  1. I'm an open shooter..... want to shoot heads up for guns?
  2. Just one opinion, but isn't somewhat ironic to have a "competition only " clause in a rulebook that governs a competition only, activity? Simply meaning that if the equipment and gear you choose to shoot that competition comply with the rulebook, why be concerned over their lineage?
  3. What is your problem with Larue? Its like your on a one man mission to slam them whenever you get a chance. Larue has a well earned reputation for making solid mounts. Frankly the way you talk about them shows your inexperience with them. I have never met an un happy Larue owner. ADM makes a solid product and I own one but Larue is a better product in my opinion. I can adjust the Larue just right while the ADM is either too tight or loose. Just the way it is. Never tried the Bobro. Your slamming a company that makes great products and supports the sport quite a bit. Before you slam them again you should back up what you are saying. You talked about real world tests but never showed anything. Your slandering a good company with no evidence and most of us here know just how good Larue mounts are. Pat Strangedays.....we get it. You personally don't like LaRue mounts. On several other boards you have posted your issues and it is simply a major personal one. This forum however values objective assessment much higher than the personally motivated vindicitiveness that you post in every LaRue thread across other gun forums, maybe it's time to tone it down. The fact is JP, LaRue, ADM, BOBRO, AUD, Spuhr et al all manufacturer excellent quality mounts with high degrees of precision manufacture, repeatability, and quality control. These manufacturers also offer some of the best customer service. The kicker on all these is that both JP and LaRue support our sport on a level that all the other manufacturers combined cannot match. Couple that with both companies unrivaled support of those who stand in harms way and you have every reason to put them at the top of the list of manufacturers to purchase mounts from.
  4. You will see excellent results with Ramshot Exterminator .... 24.5 ish grains at mag length.
  5. Stick with the Kitty Kats, cougars like to try and horn in on your retirement.
  6. I'll pick this situation to spend my monthly allotted sympathy.
  7. What good is it to get the first one if it just ends up sitting in the safe where your Saiga spent it's life ?
  8. This is one of my favorites http://www.southparkstudios.com/full-episodes/s13e12-the-f-word
  9. It's all about the timer.....until someone wearing gloves is able to show that any of the tasks we do in 3 gun are faster with the clock there will not be much change. The nature of gloves is that they offer protection at the expense of dexterity. There are a few times shooting a match where protection may offer a benefit over the loss of dexterity however on the whole, decreasing dexterity will result in being slower, less accurate, etc.
  10. Start at 3.5 and work up....I found that coated bullets were happy with 3.8 and jacketed 4.0
  11. NO, and if you actually witnessed such, at a minimum, it needs to be reported to NROI. Nuff said. I'll go one further....if you actually witnessed this and did nothing to stop it you should spend time with the person in the mirror instead of posting about it.
  12. And not even ONE other trimmer can come close to the Dillon for production capacity. Not to mention my gut tells me that if you trimmed equal volumes of brass ( lets say 1k pieces) that the deviation of measurement from a Giraud, Gracey, Dillon etc would be to close to call. It will be a very quick process to move it. 35 ONE HUNDRED THOUNSANDTHS ...... MOST ASSUREDLY AND ENGINEERING FAILURE
  13. You already have your company listed under your name so why not become a forum vendor and "advertise" all you want.
  14. There are those who give gifts and those who are sponsors. Individual sports like professional golf, tennis, bowling, even horseshoes do not feature a prize table. We will never take our sport to the next level unless we provide cash paybacks and to do so from only the match fees will result in entry fees too high for most shooters. There is a notion that current sponsors will not pay money and I would assume that some of the current sponsors might not. But if the success of Three Gun Nation tells us anything, it is that sponsors are willing to pay for increaed exposure and the current commercial supporters recognize that this exposure is worth far more than just donation of product. Reread my post, I never said that there are not a few sponsors that may pay $$$ for exposure. I said that if match directors REQUIRE it there will be very little given.
  15. +1 For the MGM Switchview I now own 6 of them....greatest thing since bacon and cucumber/aloe baby wipes
  16. Same goes for stage 4. Some may not know but Bennie is a huge advocate of being as proficient with your support side as your strong side. The rifle was only 11 very short range mini ipsc targets but instead of traversing the whole shooting area he performed the smoothest strong hand/support hand transition I have ever seen. Keep in mind this was on demand and at speed, not on take 35 of an instructional DVD. Very impressive.
  17. WRONG! When match directors ask a sponsor for a GIFT they better think twice about requiring anything or else all they will have is a match with no prize table. When you are begging you better not be too choosy/
  18. OMG now we know why she's like that! What do you think I'd be like if I had air???? That description would be inappropriate for this forum
  19. Absolutely brilliant decision! Way to confirm that you have something to hide
  20. I have found that cheap metal targets are most often false economy. Get on MGM's mailing list and watch their website every month for the monthly special. I picked up one of their IPSC Silhouette Auto Reset Targets for $216 shipped. Easy to set up and compact to transport. Not to mention it should last a lifetime.
