Well the title says it all. Do you want a second chance at it ? I won't vote, but I need to use it to say I'm defraying the cost !!! BUT if I did vote it would be YES !!!!

I'm not the best source of info, but I have shot quite a few bullets through a handgun. for practice, club level, and the occasional sectional I'll shoot lead bullets. Lets do the math for last year. I shot approximately 22,000 .45 lrn trough my 45s (Some revo some sstk) my price for that bullet from my guy is 68 bucks a k for a total of $1,496 and I shot less than 2k 230grn fmj precision Deltas that I get at 108 a k 40 bucks a k more than my lead so I saved myself $880 by shooting lead. OR actually I used that $880 plus a little to go to a match or two (like A-1 and A-7). I've been using lead ever since I started this game in 01 and had my lead level check this spring. IT was 13 and the DR said I was GREAT and even wondered how it was so low with all the shooting I do. I told him I shoot outside exclusively and wash my hands often. So there you go, IF you only shoot a few K a year there is not much difference, but when you start putting bullets down range the difference is worth it (For me). Hop, just my opinion but see my tag line about opinions Edit to add: I do have to clean my revo up pretty regularly as after 2000 rounds of Clays and lead bullets it gets pretty dirty, but the gun that has take the majority of the shooting still has a nice pretty barrel with sharp edged rifling. I'm pretty comfortable saying this one of my 625s has 300,000+ rounds on it all at Major PF and it still shoots 2 inches or better at 20yds (I barely can myself). That is another thing to take into consideration. Hop

2010 Major matches

I might not be shooting it, but I'm producing it. Memphis Charity Challenge USPSA match (Revolvers only recognized) November 6/7 2010 Speedloaders will have their own plaques (might even hit the prize table really quick too) Hop Edit to add: Mississippi Classic is the next largest USPSA match in the US by average for the last 4 years now too! Poll- What do you believe should be the Max rifle range used at a 3-Gu
hopalong replied to AK74's topic in Rifle - Technical
I answered 600. Just so IF I had 600 to work with I MIGHT use it. We had 300+ a little to use at the Mississippi 3-gun Challenge this year and the farthest we went was 180 ish and that wasn't even on the "Rifle ONLY" stage. It was 165 with different and challenging but not hard positions. The key is you get out of the sport what sport what you put into it. IF wanted to be the best 3-gunner in the world I would do what ever to get that way (Practice might be a good start). IF I want to go have fun 3-gunning (I fit this catagory) I'll do enough so I don't make myself mad. MY take on any match........................3-gun, rifle, pistol, shotgun. Design the match to where the middle of the pack shooters can have fun and make the shots, then the entry level shooters will be challenged and the top of the line shooter will put on demonstrations of why they are the best (It's gonna happen that way anyway) then all can have fun. So bring your 600 yard guns to Mississippi this October. WE MIGHT try you out, or might not. BUT i'll guarantee you'll have a good time !!! Hopalong -
Benny, We already had our conversation about this stuff so May your Mother rest in peace, and you and your dad continue to make her proud. Keep her memories close. Sam
