  1. Where might I find some of these pictures?
  2. John, you will be welcome in Manchester. Alan puts on a good safe match. If you have the hardware and are comfortable AND safe with it just come and shoot. The next MTSC match won't be until August 6th. Be sure to bring eyes and ears either way. Mike
  3. The SRM tube should have come with a nut/adapter to attach to the fixed mag tube. If you have a Factory Benelli nut/adapter it will not work with the SRM tube. A DMW tube will work with a the factory nut/adapter. The link below has a picture of norb007's M2 with a SRM tube for your reference. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28501
  4. Kurt or others Would you give us your opinion of which loading styles benefit the most from this modification? Is there a specific thumb injury that is considered Benelli Thumb or is it thumb pain in general? Thanks
  5. Jeff, Will an otherwise stock M2 Benelli run with your modified carrier or are additional modifications required?
  6. I’m glad to hear the match met or exceeded expectations particularly Squad 3 (Vikings501, Clyde, Tewlman, DKOL, AP3, Latewatch, fomeister, and 3 of our regulars in what has come to be known as the Lexington Mafia). Terry and I had fun (except the two DQ’s) and appreciate the way you guys worked together to get the stages set back up and ready for the next shooter. I hope watching you guys will help me bring my game up to the next level. I also lucked up and got a 4 Round Tewlman Tray off the RO prize table to help me catch up. Mike
  7. Yes it sound like a solution to a non existent problem but I was considering going to this match in AL and the rules say Shotgun sling required http://www.hrpclub.org/ I have tried the VTAC Buttstock attachment and I don't like it on the M2 due to strap wearing on the foam pad on top of the stock. If it were sized to fit more rearward it might work better. Kellyn may have a simpler solution. Thanks for the response Mike
  8. I haven’t found much information with searches but I’m looking for any words of wisdom for shotgun sling setups. I have a Benelli M2 Field that doesn’t currently have a sling. I have a Viking Tactics 1” on my AR and I’m currently thinking of getting a 2nd sling with the extra buttstock attachment. One question is what is the optimum setup for the front attachment. The barrel clamp seems too far forward. Is there any problem with attaching around the Mag ext and Barrel under the vent rib at the base of the mag extension or would it be better to add a second clamp? Has anyone mounted a swivel stud in the forearm or the top of the stock? Are there any better options for the front and rear? Thanks, Mike
  9. The MGM Targets are nice, I have been looking for and inexpensive way to do it myself. I found this link in a yahoo search http://www2.tnweb.com/justicentyme/gear/flipper/flipper.html and it happens to be posted by a friend of mine. It looks like quite a bit of work see what you think.
  10. This question could be easily answered with the details of the guns including the price. If the price is the same than the Remington should have alot more of something because the Benelli is a more expensive base gun. I think if your an entry level shooter you could be happy with either gun. If you want to run with the big dogs than you should be looking at a customized Benelli. If the Benelli is a M1 Field with a 21" Vent Rib barrel I don't think you could go wrong depending on the price. I think there are a few people that still prefer the M1 over the M2. If this is to be a dedicated 3 Gun SG than you may not want a 18.5" Rifle sighted pistol grip gun unless it's priced right and could be easily sold later. YMMV
  11. Berry, What's the Max Rifle distance at NTPS and or the Max Rifle Distance planned for the match?
  12. If you want a 21" barrel they can be found. You may still want to way out the multi-purpose decision but used longer barrels are eaiser to find. I just purchased a NIB 21" M2 from Marc at http://www.murphyshotguns.com/ . He had the best price I could find and it was in stock. His Gun Broker name is A50Caliber and normally has a few Benelli's listed. Good Luck Shopping
  13. Pacman, Thanks for the reply. SRM is sending him a new spring and hopefully it will take care of the problem. Any body have any tricks for installing the mag tube/spring assembly? I think he had a heck of a time putting it together before which may have caused some of the problem. Thanks, Mike
  14. Big Dave, Did you get the LaRue EER? If so how do you like it and do you have a picture? Thanks, Mike
  15. I got to shoot a friends Benelli M2 today for the first time. It was nice but it has one small problem. The gun is new with about 100 Rounds Fired. It has a SRM extended mag. tube and everything else is stock no shell holders or anything. With the mag. tube fully loaded under rapid fire the 2nd to last OR last round consistently will not cycle properly. With me the 2nd to last shell would come onto the liftgate as if stuck to it with gate straight and the bolt would lock back. If you push the liftgate and shell up slightly it would cycle the shell in the chamber. It SEEMS like the shell is not being pushed reward onto the gate far enough OR the bolt is locking back for some reason. If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
  16. I did a search on the Big 3 Gun Auction Sites and to my surprise found a New M1 with a Buy now price of $629 see http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=35422879 The question I should have asked is has anyone seen the popular T3G model NIB for $679? Which from what I have read is the M1/2 Field Synthetic Stock with a 21" VR Barrell ( M1 Model 11025 or M2 Model 11026). I did find one on GA for $999 Can Benny or anyone comment on the ability to cut down the more plentiful 24, 26,or 28" VR barrels. Can it be done cost effectively? Mike
  17. Tom, Where can I find a New M1 for $675? Thanks, Mike
  18. Sam Will you have any kind of Demo Range Area to try out some of your sponsors equipment before / after or during the match? Thanks, Mike
  19. I was going to start a new thread but this one is pretty new and a related topic. ? Are there any rules on muzzle direction while the guns are on the Carts? I just picked up a Jogging Stroller at a consignment sale and want to get it fixed up in the next week or so for an upcoming match. I have noticed that on most cowboy 3gun carts they are vertical with the muzzle up and I thought I read somewhere that it was a requirement at some Cowboy matches. I'm leaning toward muzzle up at an angle on the Stroller but the Rugged Gear model has the muzzle down. Anyone have any comment on the requirements / safety issues with the different mounting positions for Tactical 3gun? Pictures would be great also. Thanks, Mike
  20. I have and like the Slant Pro a little better but there's not much difference. Also Dawson sells the Heinie / Dawson FO combo for ~ $65+S&H. When I bought mine they didn't have it listed on their Web Site but they do have it.
