  1. Take a look at Lucky13 zombie green coated bullets(lucky13bullets.com). The 147gr RN is $40/500 and enter code NCGO for 10% off, they ship free. If shipped out of state I presume no sale tax so your total is $72 per 1000 coated 147gr RN delivered to your door. I have shot thousands of their bullets, good product and good folks to deal with. Usually ship very quickly. Hard to beat that price.
  2. They had a little trouble with one of the colors I ordered (yellow) but I should be getting my sample packs by the first of the week. I will be posting a report ASAP after I load and shoot some.
  3. Well, small world huh? I shot the same rental P09 at shooters choice before I bought mine. I did run some of my own 147gr ammo through it (I've been shooting and buying stuff there a long time so I get cut a lot of slack there, just don't tell anyone:) ) and there is a noticeable lack of felt recoil compared to my XDM. I shot my XDM and the P09 back to back and the first round I fired through the P09 really caught me off guard it was so soft. Almost felt like a squib, and this was with upper 130's PF 147's. I can't imagine how soft it would shoot with some really downloaded ammo or some 160gr loads. BTW, I shoot a lot of matches at Ant Hill and Buc(actually a member at Buc and the Action Pistol match director) we may have shot together before. You should give the Action Pistol matches a try.
  4. I don't load on a 650 but get the same thing from time to time on my press. Most primers are evenly seated but you can easily see some that are not totally uniform. They always go bang even running a lighter striker spring.
  5. Any of the CZ pistols should be pretty soft shooters, I have a P09 in .40 cal that doesn't have much more recoil than my XDM 5.25 9mm that I shoot matches with. If you really want less felt recoil you should consider reloading your own ammo. Heavy bullets and fast powder make for some super soft shooting.
  6. The orders I have gotten from Xtreme have always been right, but its good to hear what happens when a mistake is made.
  7. I load to about 1.09 OAL to shoot out of my XDM 5.25. Works well for me, hollow point bullets are more accurate than anything else I load with.
  8. I have had good luck with e3 in 45. It's fairly cheap and usually available, and 3.8 gr under a 200gr SWC has been my most accurate load out of my HK USP expert. It doesn't meter as well as solo 1000, clay dot or VV310, but does well enough.
  9. I have shot a bunch of them through my XDM 5.25, no problems at all. If I remember correctly the box is labeled 9mm, not 38 super. Very accurate bullets.
  10. Me too. Exchanged a couple emails with them, seem to be responsive to questions. Hope they work well.
  11. Acme bullets are very nice, but so are every hi-tek coated bullet I have tried. Their coating is very uniform, but the performance is no better or worse than bayou, SNS, blue bullets, Ibejihead, Missouri, lucky13 coated, or any other coated bullet I have tried. I have shot their 9, 40, and 45 cal coated bullets and they work well, but don't do anything special. I say pick your favorite color, profile, or best price and go with it. They all work well.
  12. Never heard of them before, but they look interesting. Seem kind of pricey even with the 10% off. Still might try a sample pack, wife would love the purple.
  13. The most accurate ammo I make is with either Hornady HAP JHP or Precision Delta JHP's done with a standard Lee seating die. That being said, for $8 it might be worth it to see if I can squeeze out a little more accuracy. I've blown more than $8 on a lot worse things.
  14. 1.03 OAL is what I usually load to, but have done batches from 1.02-1.04 and they all work fine. I get the bullets sized to .357 though.
  15. It will be longer til you run it and it goes through several compression cycles, then it will shorten up some, but it may never get as short as the stock one, dont worry about it. I only run 14lb Wolfe recoil springs in my XDM 5.25, I'm 100% satisfied with them. Now get that thing installed and go shoot.
  16. 2.8 titegroup works in my XDM 5.25, about 130PF. If you can find any bullseye 2.7 gr is about 128PF.
  17. My steel challenge load is 3.4gr of titegroup under a 100gr SWC from Ibejiheads. It makes about 109PF and is pretty accurate, it will shoot about 3" groups at 25yds, not a bullseye load but sufficient for what I use it for. There is basically no recoil. I shoot this load out of my XDM 5.25, which is the same gun I shoot for all comps, and it functions fine with a 14lb recoil spring. It has a trigger kit in it as well with a reduced power striker spring so that probably help function with super light loads. If your gun will feed SWC's ( I would think an M&P should ) this is a great load. I have tried some of the 95gr bullets, couldnt get any kind of accuracy with them no matter what load I tried. Probably not enough bearing surface for my XDM to get hold of. I have thought about trying some of the 90gr Hornady HAP bullets but havent gotten around to that yet.

    X-Treme

I just got a box of those from xtreme and shot a couple different loads Wednesday. This was my first time with xtreme's in 45 acp so I went with a load that produces sub 2" groups out of my H&K USP Expert with coated lead SWC's, 4.9 N320 and 4.1 N310, just to see what it would look like on paper. Sadly the groups were not that good, but these loads are way down the power factor scale, about 150 and 140 respectively, so I plan to push them a bit harder and see what they do. I have some Solo 1000 so I will try that as well.
  19. I have loaded that bullet over both titegroup and bullseye. About 2.7 gr of titegroup or bullseye worked well in my XDM 5.25. Since that bullet seats so deep in the case some brass doesn't work with it. Anything with a stepped case like ammoload will buldge and not feed and some thick brass doesn't work as well either. Win, Fed, Blazer, and PMC all worked well for me.
  20. Plated bullets and coated lead usually use very similar load data for powder charges. I use a lot of titegroup and in my XDM 5.25, 3.0gr of titegroup under most any 147gr coated bullet gets me about a 134PF, 3.6gr gets me about the same power factor with a coated 124gr bullet. I have loaded up to 3.4gr titegroup under a 147gr coated lead bullet and got around 140ish PF(dont have that load data handy) so that Lyman info sounds outdated or just wrong. I dont think the 2.5gr starting load will cycle a stock Glock and I would start higher than that but thats just me.
  21. Your four usual powders are awful good choices. WST and Competition are faster burning and will be similar to titegroup and bullseye, WSF is a bit slower burning and should feel more like the unique and 231 loads. If you can find any, VV N320 is considered by many to be the best of the best. I lucked into finding some recently and will be giving it a try in 9mm, but in 40 and 45 it is real good. One of my favorite and most consistent powders for 9mm is AA #2, meters like water, very accurate, and clean. I like the faster burning powders, a few others I have used with good success are e3, clay dot, and solo 1000. Another really good medium fast burner is SR7625, I get really good accuracy results with that.
  22. There is no published load data for pistols. If you look around here and use the search function a little you will find plenty of load data to reference.
  23. It's no contest, accurate #2 gives me the lowest SD of any powder I have ever run over a chrono. I'm not sure if I can remember a load that wasn't single digit SD. But what bowenbuilt says is very true, not all those loads were winners.
  24. I get slightly better results from Clay Dot than e3, never used clays. Clay Dot meters better for me in my Lee Autodisks, much more consistent and it feels a little softer, but pretty close. Really, there's not a big night and day difference between the two, except for metering light loads, clay dot does way better for me there.
  25. If your guns will run SWC's get some Ibejihead 100gr SWC's. With a 14 lb recoil spring in my XDM 5.25 I run 3.4 gr titegroup at 1.03 OAL. It's a pretty accurate load that feels about like shooting a .22. That's my steel challenge load. I tried some 95 gr RN but couldn't get any kind of decent accuracy no matter what I did.
