  1. If i hear any more comparisons of tactical to our military i'm gonna puke. Our marines are already using open rifles (2 optics). The term "tactical" should be reserved for the LEO folks and the gear they use. And yes, i carried an m-14 without optics, no bipod, and a 20 round mag...actually a bunch of them. Tactical is a misnomer.
  2. Need to come up with a way to differentiate between open and tactical. A bipod and monopodding is almost the same. 2nd optic...who cares.
  3. C'mon, deal with it. There is no such thing as an even keel. If you want perfect conditions, shoot indoor bullseye
  4. Aw, come on kids. Share with the whole class. 4, 5 & 6 rounders...been using them few years.
  5. That story is true...became second chance. Got to shoot it once-great fun.

  7. ok, i guess i'll have to make a video to prove this. again, the manual from mossberg that comes with the 930 specifically lays out how to load the gun. it does NOT say you can rack a round from the tube into the chamber...period. now, benny built my gun and it cannot cycle rounds by hand with shit shells. it works every time with AA's, but forget dummy rounds, walmart shit and even rem my sts. but in all cases the gun feeds when shot. bizarre.
  8. Ok chuck-been a few weeks...wassup? And when can us folks that couldnt make it last year sign up?
  9. here is manny's-he's the 2nd shooter: here's blake doing it years ago:
  10. +1 there's something satisfying seeing a larue drop at 400 yards, slightly after breaking the shot. i hate hosing rifle stages.
  11. i ran one of the 1x4's for a little over a season...used it at the USPSA MG nationals in 2009. nice scope for the money. have no experience with the 1x6. ed is a great guy and his scopes do what they were intended to do. having said that, the drawbacks for 3 gun were such that i no longer run it. daylight visible it is not. the BDC is really nice. in fact, having an accurate BDC at different powers is rare indeed. FFP scopes do just that. the reticle is way to busy for our use. we do not need ranging in a scope. also, the ranging circles for 300-600 obscure smaller targets, whether they are flashers or larues. i spoke to ed about these issues and he understood. again, ed designed the reticle for combat, not our game.
  12. My 930 would never hand cycle, and benny built it. Then, i went to the MG nationals in vegas. It cycled and loaded by hand every time. Difference? I used AA's. Must be the polished brass heads.

    Which one?

    Poker Negroidial or chaps?
  14. There is a 1000 yd range on one of the stages, just the place to stretch the legs on one of your rifles! I'm looking forward to shooting it! Doug Can an AR be accurate enough for 1000yds? Are you outta yer friggin mind? LMAO
  15. Jim boland did some wierd shit wirh these. He built a steel gun where the angle of the stop was so exagerated that it actually cut into the disconnector notch!
  16. i find this fascinating http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=033_1323154208&p=1
