  1. been trying to get that info-NBT's are expensive and i wanna know how many i need as well. last year, if i recal, there were only a handful beyond 200 in the whole match. but they were a bear from those wicked positions...
  2. info from the RM-unofficial, but round counts as follows: pistol-104 rounds rifle-119 rounds birdshot-68 rounds slugs-29 rounds 4-5 stages friday and saturday, 3 stages sunday.
  3. bruce-u doing area 1 3gun in bend next month? will meet you at the local brew house-just can't remember where they all were
  4. ok, who's going to vegas? let's plan on a place to swill expensive pale ales after the dust settles...
  5. after having used small rifle primers for many year, i'm thinking about going back to small pistol. with the PF so low, why not? assuming one does not have issues with primer flow, what's the problem? any one else switch back?
  6. hahahahahaha especially like the first guy to leave the game....hahaha.
  7. two from taxi driver- travis: You got a .44 magnum? Andy (Gun Salesman): It's an expensive weapon. Travis: That's all right. I got money. Andy (Gun Salesman): It's a real monster. It'll stop a car at a hundred yards. Put a round right through the engine block. martin scorsese (in cab): Have you ever seen what a .44 Magnum will do to a woman's p&%$y? Now that you should see. What a .44 Magnum will do to a woman's p&%$y, that you should see?
  8. I don't need to try again; my post stands. And I'll say further in their defense, lumping IL and even MA in on the same level as The Peoples' Socialist Democratic Republic of Kalifornya is an insult to IL and MA. My opinion and no offense intended to anyone living there, Sacramento has gone so totally off the deep end with their hysterical laws and proposed laws (serially-numbered brass and bullets, jeez!) that I wouldn't bring a tray of one-fired primers into THAT state. Anybody ever note the irony that the CA state flag is a bear chasing after a Red Star off in the Left? And no one cares about Hawaii. That's as non-centrally located as you can get! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> go ahead and rip my state-i hate it here as well, and in 4 yrs i'll be gone. but don't rip off the shooters from those states. i've been in this sport since 1984 and have shot all over the country-including hawaii last month. shooters in all those states are loyal to the sport and deserve consideration-they don't sit in the legislature and for sure don't vote for those pukes that pass these laws. remember, we are the minority. i agree you should not bring a tray of once-fired primers here-bring me a whole sleeve-i'll put them to good use...
  9. once a year i blow a wad at brownells on stuff i don't really have to have. this time i decided to get some new cleaning gear. got a couple dewey rods, and let me tell you, these things are incredible. over-engineered, but really nice. the friggin' jag looks like it spent hours in a mill...sweet. will actually enjoy cleaning the AR now.
  10. i, too, have studied that phenomena...turns out it's the amount of beer consumed while cleaning guns in the hotel room-these guys don't drink....
  11. forgot this one... "I know what you're thinking: "Did he fire six shots, or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But, being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya punk?" clint
  12. several from R. Lee Ermey in Full Metal Jacket: "That's not your daddy's shotgun, cowboy" "This is my rifle, this is my gun"
  13. is it an illusion, or are the shoot targets on the first 3 exposed for about an inch?
  14. here's the basic stage design-distance from fault line to targets i can't recal, but was about 10'.
  15. a silly stage to be sure...real balanced. required movement af maybe 12' to be able to engage 1 target that was hidden...otherwise, what eric said...i don't even remember turning on the cmore. ong45 set the pace so it was all about time, not hits...(oh yea, and trigger freeze)...
  16. great hotel-silverton...it's off the strip and southeast. BUT, it has a 165,000 square foot Bass Pro Shop store on site! i'll spend more there than any of the clubs! rooms avg $78 a nite for the 4 nites (thurs-mon).
  17. saw this in Maui on Wednesday...
  18. yep-only range in maui...on Hwy 30, about 14 miles south of the airport...can't miss it.
  19. the wife will love this...while spending serious $$ in maui, one can drag the gun (not mags) over here and shoot a match. just shot one yesterday on the island-small club called valley isle sport shooters club. small range, one bay, but they set up 4 stages pretty fast. they are used to 10 round friendly stuff. friendliest group of guyz you'd ever meet-they warned me in advance not to bring hi-caps, but they offered low-caps for use. did i mention the match fee? how about $5!!!! strongly suggest the next time u hit maui, to drag along the gun (not the mags) and see these guys. much cheaper and alot more fun than chasing a golf ball at kapalua! email contact for the club is off the uspsa site.
