  1. if yer using optics, look there. what type of scope/mount.
  2. barret in a hotel room was friggin hilarious...thought for sure the ceiling would fall. guyz that were hit by the 50 fell like being slapped...lame. did like the 3 brothers with all the chainsaws and stuff.
  3. i have a doctor on the side as well, but would prefer to use just 1 scope for everything... as far as the tatoo goes, BAC reticle is gonna be the only one on me...
  4. probably no more than a TA11 BAC. need to remember what targets and distance you are engaging in order to use the BDC properly...actually, thatr's true with all ACOGs, i would think. again, the close, hose down stuff seem to warrant the 1x...after 100 or so, i'm dialing it to magnification depending upon target distance and then figuring out what part of the reticle to use-just like and ACOG. the only "i wonder" on this scope is the BDC accuaracy with the FFP.
  5. the price of beta mags is about to go up like gas...
  6. at 1x, it's just like a damn dot-which is all i need. will be curious if the BDC is as accuaret as the maker claims. guess i'll find out next month.
  7. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&...18&t=315758 not the holy grail, but looks pretty sweet
  8. in my testing, the 121gr MG design is more accuarate than their 124, or any 125 fmj. YMMV.
  9. ong45 is a post office guy...bet it was him...
  10. thought it would be interesting to start this thread. in my case, my first big match was my first match, period. read about the 1984 steel challenge in american handgunner. bought me a 7" AMT longslide and drove down to canyon country to shoot the 1985 steel challenge. practiced on paper plates thinking i was hitting things. think i beat 6 people out of about 270. think i had max times on outer limits. got a $200 maglight out of it. helluva shock, but that got me bit. ended up meeting lots of folks and found out there were actual clubs in my area. the rest is history.
  11. would respectfully disagree. tru open. actually, doesn't really matter, but you will require tons of stuff, especially if it's a major multigun match.
  12. trust me-i've shot with brice locally, since the early 80's. he can teach you regardless of whether u shoot open or production, or anything else.
  13. tell me it ain't too late-still trying to get reservations finalized for the coast after the match. tom-still have slots??
  14. if it's a gun match, add several more bags and +100 lbs...
  15. how cool is that-this guyz voice is worth a mint. let him shoot the gator!!
  16. alright, who's got video of the coaster stage shooting the rifle?? c'mon, guyz!
  17. alright-where's the skinny from you lucky dogs at the match??? what's that wild coaster like with a rifle??
  18. vince-our regualr pistol match is that sunday-just stay the night and shoot 'em both.
