  1. +1 I wouldn't want to be tackled by someone who had 90+ pounds on me either. Smart little guy. Buy him a set of gold clubs.
  2. So we can expect to see a happy QuicksDraw at Topton this weekend? With a cup (or holster) full of mojo? I like living in PA ---- it's been ten days now, but we spent a week of that in Germany.... Yes I will be happy and have a holster full of mojo. Where in Pa did you move to? Welcome!!! Glad to have you!
  3. I get my new open gun today. It's a Limcat like Athena's. I shall name it "Mojo."
  4. I don't know if I'm shooter #1 this year. I know I won't be #1 at the finish which is what realy counts. I'm just happy to finish the match. Good luck to everyone shooting the match!
  5. I am going to the Limited natonals!! Now if I could get a slot to Open I'd be one happy happy camper. But hey, I'm lucky to get to go to any since I fell asleep and didn't get on the waiting list till 8am the next day. I'll take what I can get! Now I gotta find my mojo... Is there a match hotel?

  7. You go boy! What's the air like up there? Mighty thin I would think. Congratulations for a great achievement. Stew
  8. He would not be my buddy and I would not be shooting with him. I can't stand liars or cheats. What has happpened to honor and integrity in this world? Why compete if your going to cheat? Why do you let him? If I make a deal I stick to the deal, even if I have to take a spankin! My dad is eighty years old, in a wheel chair, in the nursing home, after a massive stroke and I would be afraid of the beat down I'd get if he ever caught me lying or cheating. Papa didn't raise me like that and don't take no mess. All you have is your word and if you ain't got that you got nothing.
  9. Yep, it was great first time match. I also see a great future for the club. Betterment (Phil) and I drove out together and had a great time. I wish the new club successful matches and welcome them to Area 8.
  10. At the Ironman you need one A hit or two hits to neutralize on the paper targets for rifle and pistol. I called MGM today and the published round counts are for 1 A hit ONLY . If you dont plan to shoot all A hits double the round counts for rifle and pistol. Then add ammo for misses. A word to the wise.
  11. Love the door and apartment too! Looks swanky! Best of luck in your new digs.
  12. First I want to say thank you to all of you who have offered their support to me during my slump. With your help I have gained insight from your responses and have started to narrow it down. Most of it is worrying about my wife. Her happiness is the most important thing in my life. Her job situation may have worked itself out. She had a talk with her boss and he has agreed that some of his requests go above and beyond her job description. Shred has part of it right, I am blessed to have a number of GM's as friends. Guys I talk to daily about Stargate, or Sony PSP games, or whatever. They have also taken me under their cumulative wings and it is both a blessing and a curse. I want to make the most of the oportunity that they have given me. Wouldn't you? I am not allowed to slack off. I HAVE to perform. Jake is going to blow a gasket when he reads this thread and I'll have hell to pay. He's coming to see me next weekend and my ass is grass. These guys never stop training and niether shall I. It might be that with all the help I'm given I STILL SUCK! I feel that I'm not progressing as fast as I'd like. I will not quit. I will work my way thru. I shot Guthsville yesterday and did O.K. I just have to get off of this Plateu. May have found my Mo, still looking for Jo. Stew
  13. I had the pleasure of being squaded with Julio yesterday at Guthsville. He is a very nice guy and I look forward to being squaded with him again. We had a great time and had a very funnny squad. Glad you had a good time! Stew
  14. Excellent! I'm very happy for you. Hey, wait a minute, you steal my mojo? Just kidding! I'm sure it was hard work and talent.
  15. Didn't you guys read the part where I say I don't want to quit! I want to FIND my mojo not rest it. I suck too much to stop. If I stop shooting I'll be back at square one, which isn't that far off. I don't want to waste all the practice and time I have invested. How do you recharge your battery?
  16. While I normally go to USANA I will go to Guthsville and support them in their first match.
  17. I never thought I would think about giving up the sport. My wife and I have been under a lot of stress as of late. She has been very unhappy with her job, which makes me unhappy. Her stress is my stress. She is thinking about quitting her very lucrative job. I would rather us be poor than to have her unhappy. Real life problems have made shooting seem frivolous and a waste of time and money. Time which could be spent fixing the house or doing something "important." Money which could be banked in case of hard times. I'm not an advanced shooter but I love the sport and don't want to quit. I feel like I am speaking blasphemy when I talk of quitting. I am running out of energy and find it hard to dry fire and get to the range to practice. I have not been signing up for the big matches. Sigh. How do you stay focused when life intrudes into your training and motivation? What do you do to keep your mind in the game? How do I find my mojo?
