I think the indications have to do with men who have had some issue of heart health previously. And in men in their 60's I believe. Im skeptical of any kind of study that makes claims with little info. Every month something different is supposed to kill us and a few months later the medical community changes its mind. Im still having the kind of results that make me the poster boy for what this stuff can do. No way Im giving it up unless someone can show me 100% proof of any problems. I also switched to a weekly shot instead of every 10 days. I stay more stable and no let down on the last few days. Wonder woman stance? Dr Oz? Really? You get demerits for even being a guy watching a womans show.

I am trying to find out how much 45 brass weighs per thousand or about how many per a gallon bucket? No need to be perfect but in the ballpark.

I have 3 XD products at the moment. One of them being a CC Tactical package. I don't shoot it much at this point since I switched to 9mm XD5.25 which I traded to move into a Sig 226 X5 Tactical. I don't think Im selling what I have but I can promise I will never buy another Springfield product. Ever. And I have had at least 6-8 XD guns, a stainless 45 and bought 2 brand new M1A rifles over last 15 years.

Or maybe just its people who don't know how to run a company with any ethics.

Rignt now I would tell springfield to eat a dick. They LIED when they had a fix already and wanted to have all the guns sent back in. Phuc them. All they wanted was to get the guns under their control for the f*#kING lawyers. Im so pissed now that they LIED!!

I am in the middle of a funk and not shooting. I have been shooting competition for over 10 years from IDPA in the begining to 3 gun for the last 5. I still like it in theory but at the moment I have no intrest in shooting a match. I missed the last 2 to work issues and it didnt even bother me too much. Last match is this weekend and I wont be able to go. I have never been burned out on shooting in all the years I have been doing this. 5 years ago I had to take a year off due to being on midnight shift and I was so bummed I couldnt shoot. Im sure over the winter as I reload my desire will be back but I have no explination why I have lost intrest in shooting. I dont think everyone goes thru this but Id be supprised if most dont. I know over the years I have seen shooters come and go. I can think of 3 guys who shot 3 gun for several years then just stopped. And when I say stopped they didnt change to USPSA they put all the guns down. Much as I have at the moment. I have not been to this site for weeks. And my first visit I came looking for a thread like this for those of us who are steping away for a break.

I read over at the XD forums 6-8 weeks is projected as well and hope thats not optimistic. Fortunatly I have other options for pocket carry but a Keltec 380 is looking pretty wimpy nowdays. The whole thing is sounding a bit over done but safety is paramount with a carry gun like this.

I dont know if its been made aware here but there is a recall for the XDs from Springfield for pretty much every one made since day one. Looks like it MAY be a recall to make the lawyers happy but Im not sure at this point.

So is there some kind of serial number range or is it every one since day one?!?!?!?!?

I installed the Dawson FO. .170 tall by .125 wide. Didnt have to adjust the rear at all. Perfect on elevation. I think its part # 021-046. For the holster I had ordered one from BladeTech and they told me the only one they would make is the speed holster. I was in a pinch for time and tried the one from Top Gun http://www.topgunsupply.com/blade-tech-sting-ray-belt-holster-sig_p226-x-five.html I added the drop offset as well and it works. BUT I can tell this holster isnt a perfect fit. I retains the gun and wont fall out but even loosened up it still requires a firm push to seat it and a good pull to break it from the holster. It shows out of stock at Top Gun but if your in a bind maybe someone else has it if you search the SKU. Im fine with the rear sight at this point.

I bought a SVI once. Never again. It was very nice but they act like they are doing you a huge favor to take your money and wait month after month. I ended up asking for a refund and my, my, the gun was done in a week.

So after this match ends saturday its cool to head home? No prize table etc Sunday?

I called last week to order a Black Ice for my new X5 competition and they said they did not offer the Black Ice for it. I had to go the competition style route. I did order one but with a 6 week wait who knows? Im curious why the would not sell me a Black Ice. I even tried to call back a couple days later to speak with a different sales person but got the same reply. I would like to know the exact item numbers listed on you guys holsters.

Scout--I'm a little late in seeing your question. I had to take a Dremel wheel and cut the front sight out of my All Around slide to get it out so that I could put the Dawson sight in the slide. SIG pusher wouldn't budge it. You have to be very careful or you will cut too far and put a little groove in the slide. Don't ask me how I know that. I also hope you got a wide (0.140"?) front Dawson sight to go with the wide rear sight. Joe Just measured the original sight (still on gun) its .130 wide and the dawson i have is .100 wide. They have a .125 listed for the #6 @ .170 tall I've installed a Dawson Fiber Optic front on all three of my X-5's (L1, Comp, and All Around). I put a 0.125" width on all of them and for me it's perfect for running in USPSA competition (Limited with L1 and Comp in .40s&w and Production with All Around 9mm). I used a Sig Sight Pusher on each one and on my X-5 Comp part of the base broke off of the stock sight as I was removing it as it was on so secure. The other two the front sight popped right off. Just to clarify which pusher did you use? Seems like I get info that some of the new slided dont fit in some of the pushers.

Sig lists these on the site, I called and they are not available at this point. Supposedly they will be at some point but the guy I talked to wouldnt speculate on if it would be days, weeks, or months. Is this a item that has been available in the past or is it a new product? I have the pistol in process and putting a Dawson FO (.160" tall X .110" ) will be among the first things. Need to order the sight but not untill I have the pistol and make sure of the width I want. Dont know the lead time on the sight but Id like to line up, if possible the rent of a MGW sight pusher when I have the sight in hand. Id probably buy a used one if I could find one. A new one at $120 plus shipping is not crazy but like most of us its not something I think I will use a lot. Depending on Dawson I suppose it will be a few weeks till I need it and should get it done in a day. Any help would be appreciated. Kent

Agreed. I have been trying to align SMM3G rules with USPSA rules whenever possible (and where it makes sense). Ultimately I'd like to see USPSA rules become something sufficiently flexible and attractive that IMA match directors feel able to use them, and over time for the sport to end up with one national rulebook we can all hang our hats on. I also want an end to hunger, a cure for AIDS, and World peace. A guy can dream can't he! I think most of the guys I meet dont want USPSA rules for 3 Gun. This topic has been discussed more than the middle east peace it seams. I love USPSA for pistol stuff but 3 gun is stand alone. I will go on record again though as HATING the pizza box PC targets. Keep the USPSA targets but not the ruleset.

Since you referenced the INMG rules which I dont think are any kind of national standard but.. #1 matter of fact I was on the clipboard last weekend when a very good shooter had a squib round out of a pistol. RO stopped him. It was discussed at length. Its a no reshoot. Same as an equipment malfunction. I was the closest person behind RO and didnt catch in since it was in a hallway type stage. The RO did an outsanding job hearing it and I dont know if the shooter did or not. #2 again last week this came up. For each club sometimes the range rules vary. It isnt my home club and we started so far this season at this club with an empty chamber, closed bolt all guns and again it was discussed. My personal input was to stay the same. I prefer to let the stage designer dictate. I like a hot gun to start but I want consistancy. Too many new or not experienced shooters to change up match to match at least for each club. #3 I have done it at our home club and think the game factor is part of the game. My motto is if it doesnt say you cant then you can. BUT club and match rules dictate. #4 Since yours truly is a open shooter who is average on a good day I think I can say the awnser is yes. You can off and on a supprssor in OPEN which is what you will shoot. I take a bipod off and on as needed. I dont have a suppressor so I cant speak for sure. I cant see why you would. A SBR with a suppressor is short enough for the whole match and a 18" or so gun isnt going to shoot much different with or without other than the DB level. IMO. If you were at Altanta hope you make it to the Wildcat. We shoot out to 300 plus on one stage (if I am lucky since HVT's help me make up for piss poor handgun).
