Anyone use CCI small rifle primers for 9mm minor reloads? I have used Winchester SRP but want to standardize for 223 and 9mm and CCI SRP is first choice.

I have owned all of the above. SVI STI and now a X5. The quality of the X5 is on par with all as far as I am concerned. 25 round mags for 9 mm are available.

For what its worth my MKA runs about 100% With Estate 1200 1 1/8 loads. I wondered about the RIO and have seen the hulls but never seen them on the shelf.

I would LOVE a new Vortex 1-6. I held one in my sweaty hands at the NRA meeting this weekend and yet my Meopta 1-4 will hit anything out to the max I shoot at of about 350. I was gold last season as long as I spent Friday at the range banging the flasher. at 350. I made up a lot of handgun lost points with HV targets at range. This season I am not prepared and it showed badly yesterday. Practice not money. But Id still buy the Vortex if I had the spare coin now.

I see toothandnail is offering a 23 round mag. Has anyone tried one yet and used it in a match? I'm probably going to try one unless I hear negative feedback.

Another vote for the 650. I had a 550 for a few years and upgraded. Kicked myself for not going 650 out of the gate. The auto index is the biggie for me. Almost NO way to miss a charge or make a mistake. I have loaded thousands of rounds of several cals and NEVER had a squib. Buy once and cry once.

I will gladly reply to the previous 2 posts. I do eat well. I avoid junk and fast food but once every couple weeks may have a burger. Your "opinion" that we don't need the replacement theory is hogwash. Based on your logic we also don't need things like blood pressure meds, diabetic meds, and even silly things like inooculations from smallpox and chickenpox. I mean if dying young early from treatable conditions was good enough for mom a and dad by god it's good enough for us. Heck lets just shun all modern medicine and live on nuts and berries. Im wanting to put on a longer AP Custom tube on my JP15. I have the 18" medium contour barrel and would like a setscrew mount like a Vltor instead of a clamp on. JP makes a clamp on and will go that way if I have to but Id like to find a less expensive one if I can. Anyone have some feedback on one they used?

I think if you had ever delt with SA customer service outside this recall your opinion would be as jaded. I've had XD's since SA first took over the imports and have put thousands of rounds through them all. I've had parts break and every time I called I got through to customer service within minutes. All they ever asked me for was a serial number and an address to send the part or parts too. Even on my 8 year old XD 9 I was able to get a new cocking indicator sent to me. As much as I love my CZ Shadow, I have to foot the bill on all the wear and tear on that pistol. The majority of manufacturers don't have that kind of service so I won't let a slow turn around in one massive recall taint my opinion. I have bought 2 XDTactical packages from Canyon Creek. They are great guns. I think Rich does good work and he should be proud of his reputation and quality of work. I think I have also bought a few parts from him as well but not sure. My issue is NOT with Rich or Springer Precision which sold me my XDm 5.25 9mm that I used for 3G for a years or so. I am very much happy with the XD platform and have been a fanboy and lobbied for them to people based on my satisfaction. The TRP was OK but not special. M1A, I don't really know what you can say except its the perfect example of 30 cal battle rifle for me. I have a shitload of XD odds and ends from the years in my house. I even still have a couple M1A mags I came across recently and I don't have a 308 platform anymore. Not to mention the XD mags NIB Im hanging on to due to bammy and co. In short I will probably be sad I cant/wont ever buy a Springfield product again but this is an issue that shows that they are more lawyer and profit driven that product and customer driven. I refuse to accept any excuse for this. If they had declared a safety issue from the get go and simply said they were going to make it right somehow all would be good. They would have gotten props for manning up and dealing with it. LYING out of the gate about HAVING a fix let them dig their own hole. Ef them.

I also tried B&P. Eventhough they shot really soft, they didn't produce enough gas to run the action. I haven't found any 7/8 oz. Fiocchi to try yet, but tried some 1 0z and they don't seem to want to feed, eventhough Jim put the full ramp mod. on my gun. So far, I've had best results with Remington, low recoil. None of the slugs I've tried shoot very accurate out of my Firebird. The group sizes are about double that of my JP 1100, but, the JP has the dot sight melted in to the barrel whereas the sight on my Firebird is on the receiver and it is possible the bbl is moving a little in the reciever Mine continues to "break in". For birdshot, the 1200 fps Remington Gun Club shells run 100%. Several months ago I tried some 1145 fps shells and reliability dropped to less than 50%. Now after lots more shooting, those "light" 1145 fps loads now run about 80% of the time. Still not good enough for a match, but in time they may work. For slugs I've been running Remington Managed Recoil (1200 fps) 1 oz slugs. Checked the C-more to see if I needed to make any adjustments. I had a 3 shot group at 40 yards that made a tight cloverleaf. That was with the Carlson Extended "LM" choke in place. These slugs also run nicely with the "CYL" choke. Bill Im curious if you have replaced your recoil spring from the original or the FB spring if you have a FB gun? I replaced mine last spring after a fair amount of rounds. Comparing the replacement spring with the older one it was obvious it was a inch shorter relaxed. Nanci sent both the OEM and the spring FB puts in. Before I replaced the spring it would also run 1200 stuff. It will now as well but I feel better with the minor extra poop. I just wish it would run some of the heavy loads but it just wont. Pheasant loads wont run. I just change chokes now. I got a smoking hot deal on my X5 Competition this summer in 9mm. $1600 for a never shot used gun a guy had in his safe. Found it on the SIG forums. I love it. I friend has a tactical and had the Houge grips on it and I followed suit. I also put in a Dawson FO front sight. Love the gun. The MecGar mags in the 20 round flavor have to have the base pads shaved with a dremel slightly to fit. I have sent a half dozen emails to the guy who supposedly makes the 24 round extensions but I have never heard back. Im still looking for a higher capacity mag since I shoot open in 3-gun. I have seen a few places that advertise the SIG factory 25 round 9mm mags and am the notify list but still have not heard a peep.

Initially I used a Firebird 15 rd magazine spring and new style (longer) follower in my Roulette magazine and it ran 100% but would only hold 17 rds. Later I got a genuine Roulette spring and short follower. Excellent quality products. Now it holds the full 18 rds and it still runs 100%. Bill So which way is the new ones set up? The Firebird spring and follower or the Roulette spring and follower. I didn't see the follower on their website. Just the complete mag.

I just ordered one of these. I feel good if its a FB related product. I have a FB gun and my own assembled 15 rounders work perfectly. Just looking for some more capacity. Do these use the same spring as the 15 round kits from FB?

Mine runs flawless with estate 1250FPS 1 1/8 loads. Using FB 15 round mags. I just ordered a Roulette18 rounder and we shall see how it works. I also had no luck with BP slugs but Fiocchi Areo 7/8 oz slugs run 100% and are VERY accurate out of my gun.

THIS! I'm a personal trainer for a living. My male clients over 45-50 who are on TRT get great results from exercise. My clients who are NOT on TRT get much lesser results. PERIOD. Healthy Test levels are CRITICAL to health, fat loss, muscle RE-gain, and overall energy and vitality. The risks are greatly over-blown, and the medical profession is very quickly coming around to more recent studies showing VERY minimal sides and negative effects. While the UP-side is huge. JeffWard My weight is now down to about 190 and I hope to get more off. My goal isn't a number but how I look. Also like I mentioned going to every week for a shot vs every 10 days helps my level stay steady. After a couple years on this path I am even more convinced its such a life changer for me. My original weight was about 260-265 and its been a SLOW loss which is the best way. AND I am feeling so good most of the time I could make a 20 year old girl beg for mercy. The wife seems to smile a lot nowadays.
