  1. I can't make a video of it because I don't currently own a Glock. I've switched to 2011's. One of the guys I shoot with just watched me mag dump in to a plate at the last steel match. All were .10-.11
  2. The weight thing is probably the lamest argument I keep hearing. What do the top guys running open guns have for weight? I shoot a 6" gun that weighs 48oz empty. I can swing it and run it as fast or faster than the previous 6" gun I had that was 35oz. A heavy gun, In my opinion. Stops better and settles nicer for tough shots.
  3. I don't think it will change at the top of the sport. Most of those guys are running 5" edge style pistols. It's mainly because that's what they've always shot. It's that whole Indian, arrow thing. I shoot a 6" because I like it and I think they are cool. I do t think it gives me a real measurable advantage but if it makes you more confident then that works too. Shoot what you want, just put in the time.
  4. That was a whole month ago. Haha. The gun is looking great. I still need to test drive it though.
  5. It will be good enough for second place.
  6. I've shot consistent .10-.12 splits with a glock on Bill drills.
  7. I love the scope. Reticle seems nice and bright. Adjustable intensity. I haven't been able to get it out in bright sunlight yet. It's been overcast. I absolutely love the reticle design. I can't wait to get it out zero it and see what it's like at distance.
  8. I just got the new vx6 1-6 Firedot BDC. I can't find any measurements on the reticle though. Does anyone have these? I'm trying to get it forwarded on to istrelok so they can put it in their app.
  9. Not that Pat needs it but I was at that match and everything is exactly as described. I was very impressed with the fit and finish of the gun at that price point. As good or better than any factory STI I've had my hands on. It ran great on untuned mags and factory ammo. I would have no reservations recommending this gun based on what I saw. Especially for 3 gun or steel challenge.
  10. I would say offhand is fine. I actually didn't like it for props. While it is flat and stable, how many times is the prop you are shooting off of actually level? For me it was therefore more difficult to adjust. I now prefer a smaller diameter rounded tube and use a noveske nsr. I'm also no expert.
  11. 1/2-28 threads mean it basically needs .035 taken off the face for a full turn. Figure out how many degrees you need do the math and that's how much you need to take off. I figure it to stop at 10:30 or 11 o'clock and it usually torques to straight up pretty well.
  12. I've used one and worked great. 2.5 lb trigger pull. Just like bob said I had issues with the safety fitment. I called brazos and the walked me through everything. Great customer service. No worries.
  13. Sounds like Nordic will be the way to go. I want something g to replicate my 3 gun rifle. Might as well go Nordic so I can run the same trigger and butt stock.
  14. If you had to pick. The new Nordic .22 upper or a S&W AR-22 what would you choose? Looking for something to learn how to shoot rifle off hand and shoot steel challenge with.
  15. All the brazos guns I've seen locally all run great.
  16. Atlas by far. I have a 6" gun I bought from them and it runs flawlessly. My dad has a 6" cheely and has not had the same experience. Any questions feel free to pm me.
  17. Atlas gun works as mentioned before. Have a gun I got from Adam and it runs flawlessly. Great to deal with always quick to respond to any question I have had after the sale. I have shot cheely guns and I would always pick the atlas over them as that's my preference. Pm me if you have any questions between the two.
  18. What are you doing for a comp and load?
  19. Looks like a camerons custom to me. Kind of an odd spot actually since it's right at the bottom of a decent sized radius. Good luck with a replacement.
  20. Why does everyone screw up the reticle?
  21. Story time. Shot the wa state steel championship. Loaded up some special 135gr .40 minor. Tested it the week before and ran great. At the match it puked and would not run. No fault of the gun. I think it was an ammo mag combo. Switched to my normal major load 2 stages in and ran great. Until my mag catch broke. I didn't even know that was a thing. I used my dads gun to finish and wound up 3rd limited. Not bad all things considered. I'm sure I would've been the next max Michel with that minor load but I guess we'll never know. Got the gun fixed that night after the match and shot the uspsa match on Sunday. I feel like I've hot a plateau, I shot well as far as shooting goes but my ability to run a stage as fast as I need to at this level has hit a wall. I need to shave 1-2 seconds off each stage. I finished 5th. There were 7-8 M class shooters there. All very competitive within that ranking. I'm holding my own but need to find a way to start picking up a little time now. The better you get in this sport the harder it is.
