  1. Here is mine. Tactical with rail and threaded barrel made it easy to add a dot and comp with no modification to the pistol. I did have to relieve the underside of the optic mount to clear the slide though. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  2. I heard Mike Seeklander is coming to our club (Port Malabar Florida) sometime this month.
  3. Have the courage and confidence to shoot the stage to the best of your ability....and have compassion and forgiveness to deal with things when you don't.
  4. Its all part of the process of mental toughening. Most all of the best winners, were good loosers first. What happened to you is that your self image wrote a check that you couldn't cover.
  5. What would you guys like to see changed in the rules of IDPA? Prizes like guns, etc awarded based on the merit of shooting instead of random drawing (luck). Depending on who shows up, it may reduce my chances of winning a prize, but the winners worked hard to be winners and they deserve the rewards. Maybe it might inspire other competitors to work harder. I know IDPA did it this way to take the emphasis off of it being a competition, but everyone knows it IS a competition.
  6. As Brian would say, "shoot in the present tense". It seems like you are thinking about what your next move is going to be, instead of taking care of what's in front of you, "right now." Body and mind are out of sync. Body is in the present and the mind is thinking of the future.
  7. FWIW, they weren't all quick fast stages that were tossed. Stage 13 was a 15 round scenario stage, stage17 was an 18 round drill stage, stage 18 was a 12 round drill stage and stage 21 was a 12 round scenario stage The only one that was a quick easy was stage 20, a 6 round Bill drill "filler stage". if they were concerned about time they shouldn't have added the filler stages in the first place IMO. As mentioned it was like deja vu shooting Bill Drills 3 or 4 times in a match.

  9. Many of the top tactical training schools have banned the Serpa. A few IDPA clubs have also banned the Serpa. This video is pretty good at showing peoples concerns with it.
  10. The most important thing to know, is that you shouldn't really know anything while you are shooting. or Knowledge of the thinking mind must be transferred into intuitive thought, so you don't have to think about knowing anything.
  11. Stage description is here: http://www.proamshooting.com/STAGES/STAGES2011.pdf Stage 7 "Batter Up." Manny is the only one who was able to get the bonus plate in BOTH Limited and Open!
  12. Not only do they offer great products and service, they also support the shooting sports. They were sponsors in the last 2 big matches I've shot here in Florida.
  13. Hey, I just moved up 1 place in the overall standings with that comment! And I just moved down!
  14. With that many local shooters, it may be a good idea to encourage some other gun clubs (if there are any in your area) to host IDPA matches. I have 3 clubs all within 1 hour drive from me each hosting an IDPA a different Sunday of the month. Some shooters go to all 3 but many shooters only do one a month which helps disperse the total amount.
  15. I haven't seen the episode yet, but probably because an HK91 doesn't have a bolt hold open. The charging handle is waaay up there, has a long pull, and on some guns I've shot takes a bit of man-handling. Not a gun for wimps Not lefty-friendly either. +1...it looks like they were required to lock the bolt open when they left the rifle(s). Since the HK91/93 doesn't have a LRBHO the would have had to rack it manually anyways. Looks like they all slapped the charging handle like they were taught to do though! Agreed, best episode by far. Kelly the GM killer finally eliminated. It they would have had the last rifle bay be a scoped Remington 700 at 600 yards it might have been a different story.
  16. Could this be considered a "fault line"? CoF 20. No foot-fault lines may be used on any scenario stage.
  17. This just happened to me. I am B Production and shot a GM time on the ElPres as well as a couple Master times that may be above 15% at our last classifier match. I sent an email to USPSA requesting that ALL of my classifiers shot that day be counted to establish my new ranking. I also mentioned that I am currently competitive with the Master shooters. Waiting to see what they say.
