  1. Thanks for all the replies. Does anyone have a sketch or up close pic so I can get an idea to fab from?
  2. I'm talking about the 3Gun Nation hella cool swinging star, aka...DeathStar, Swinging Whirlygig. Our club is looking for one to purchase and I can't find a target company that has one. I can't even find a picture of one to post, just videos that are too big for here, here's a link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcmfNTo38cY
  3. I've seen them on TV, YouTube and multiple online videos. Who makes them and how do I go about ordering one? BEnos searches and the internet searches led to headache and cursing. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. My buddy got a CasePro after reading threads like the ones that got your attention. He uses it on .38 SuperComp every tenth reload, or fairly close, and really hasn't noticed a difference compared to the fifteen years prior to purchasing. He volunteered to do mine, so I let him, but I see no discernible difference from one to the other. My .02
  5. So did you eventually get your belt? What did you think of it? Was it worth the wait and price? I did and I have to say that no mass production belt I own is even close in workmanship or comfort. No more having to look for belt keepers and such, the overlap is secure from the get. I can't say enough good thing s about it, well worth the cost and the wait was shorter than expected. Since I ordered mine, Bobby has revamped the fitting process and done away with the custom embroidery. Take a look, I wouldn't recommend anything else.
  6. Thanks for all the feedback. It seems I was trying to stop something that can be handled by adding more props. I had to DQ a lower ranked shooter at a match because he followed a Master shooter to a 180 trap on the same style stage. It wasn't a trap if you stayed in the shooting area to shoot, but if you gamed it and crossed over without stopping immediately, it became one. Just trying to avoid ruining someone else's day with a similar backwards L design.
  7. Exactly. With the new methods of gaming and the lack of enforcement on "sportsmanship", it gets frustrating. With the Pete and RePete style shooting at the local level, I just wanted to verb it so that if someone left the shooting area, they had to re-enter in the same spot. Nothing like watching a C/D shooter try to emulate a Master, get lost and have to run back up a stage. You're probably right, but there was only one volunteer.
  8. Exactly the rule I'm trying to get across, just looking to make it less wordy. Thanks
  9. I'm doing a few stages for a match and I want to purvey that if you step out of the shooting area, you must step back in in the same place in order not to incur procedural penalties per shot. The words have eluded me this morning and my searches haven't turned up anything. Let me know what you use or think would be sufficient. Thanks
  10. B Open 47 0 6.96 6.7529 Shot this back in Jan. I'm a low B.
  11. I bought a gun that had a barrel marked .40 and it was actually cut to 10mm. I put 30,000 rounds through it before a gunsmith caught it after I broke an extractor. Never skipped a beat, also, wasn't a Tanfo.
  12. Last time I wore my Nike Sharks, I slipped on a ramp after Unload, show clear. Spiral fracture of right wrist made it really hard to shoot the next few stages, Salomon speed Cross 3 became my range shoes after that, now I wear them daily.
  13. Take full advantage of the wisdom contained in the BEnosvere. Have fun!
  14. Have you measured bullets? I just finished loading 1000 that measure .403 and do the same thing. Different manufacturer than you , but similar problem.
  15. I run a Square Deal and a 550. The SD is great for low volume and letting newbies learn on, the 550 has been pushing out rounds since 1996 and is like an old friend.
  16. Be sure to take full advantage of the wealth of knowledge contained on this forum. Welcome to BEnosvere.
  17. A "stock" magazine, factory assembled will hold X rounds when purchased, if you change the basepad and spring/follower you can get them to hold more rounds and still be able to do a reload with it. My stock STI would hold 18 rounds reloadable and after I changed the basepad and spring, I could get twenty in there and reload. Tuned STI mags will sometimes go 21. Some stages it's a big advantage to have a couple more rounds available.
  18. Having already DQ'ed a Master for sweeping themselves during the "catch", I can tell you it's just a bad habit to get into. I tell all my new shooters not to do it and if they really can't live without that round, I will gladly give them the .50 for a five stage match of lost rounds. Our range chickens are great about getting 95-99% of spent and live ammo back to the brass bin, so you'll probably get the round back anyway. I don't recall ever seeing an actual "Big Dawg" do it on film or at a match. I do take the time to get the "catchers" to completely go through ULSC again after they're done with the Jeter impersonation. Not cool and something I don't want Juniors to emulate, as we all seem to learn by example. My .02
  19. You said you're getting a custom Limited gun right? Start with load info from your builder using your bullet and powder info. Nothing to be worried about, I worry more about my 9mm rounds than I do my .40 rounds. Have fun and enjoy the new blaster.
  20. I have more trouble getting the "prima donnas" to work, where my old guys try to cover for them and wear out early. I don't have a surplus of shooters and I'm not sure I could put a match together alone, so I try to keep as many people happy as possible so I can do something I enjoy, SHOOTING. I think this post drifted somewhere...
  21. Kingman, Az sends a howdy and a handshake. Tons of info on here, take full advantage...
  22. Hoorah!! Haven't been at it that long, but hope to be. I actually think shooting made me a better person and I still want to improve on that. I try to instill the same feeling in my Junior shooters. Thanks Mark, for stating it in easy to read terms..
