  1. I'm a lefty and use a Limcat.
  2. Some of the fights weren't bad, but they will have to step it up to compete with the UFC.
  3. Like the topic says, any Newfoundland/Landseer dog folks out there? experiences? advice? -Mike
  4. Would be even more perfect if the shield surfaces were only half the height of the swensons so that you could still rack the slide from the rear serrations. I'm a Southpaw too, and that's one reason I went with the Swensons, plus as Flex mentioned, my thumbs tend to ride the slide. You can see in the picture I posted above in my earlier post that my gunsmith cut them down, tweaked them, and made them pretty for me. Get a set, find a gunsmith who can do what you need, and go to town. -Mike
  5. It takes a little work, but Swensons can turn out pretty trick. Here's mine done by Brian ( Hawley Custom Guns). Custom Swenson Well worthwhile. -Mike
  6. ETRPC range. "Technically" Longview.
  7. Depending on your cash flow, try scheduling a training class with Dave Re (Xre) and go over the areas you are having difficulties with...... he's close to you and I guarantee you'll improve. -Mike
  8. Large cat carriers/small dog carriers. Water bowl and food attaches to front. Do NOT open while traveling, for certain. I am not sure I'd recommend taking them in and out of the cage any more than necessary. I traveled cross country with my 3, and they made out fine......... I did not take them out of carrier, just brought in hotel room, made sure to pet and soothe. The chances of losing a pet vs. being conservative and leaving in a large carrier for their safety was my deciding factor on how I did it. The large carriers give them room to move around, sleep, etc., and they are safe and you don't have a scared animal loose. Best of luck. -Mike
  9. If you haven't looked there yet, check the underside of the CMore for a crack, it can be tough to detect, but I've had to replace two CMores for this reason.
  10. Best of luck to you, and not to be the bearer of additional bad news, but you will be a lot more than 6-8 weeks for recovery.......more like months. Keep us posted, and good for you for getting it taken care of! -Mike
  11. So the company you work for sells for 25 billion dollars and you promptly get notified you are part of an across the board 'reduction in force'........ thanks a lot. I worked 77 hours last week, and today I'm unemployed. Oh joy.
  12. Talk to Brian H........... see, that was easy. :D
  13. How much is the software? Maybe we can split the cost? -Mike
  14. Trace, I know the 1050 owner, too.......but trust me, get the 650. You won't be sorry. Believe me. -Mike
  15. Jack, I feel your pain. I drive a Dodge truck, and for some reason people think 'trucks are slow' and always do that crap to me....... I hate to watch the gas gauge drop, but hearing the Hemi roar now and then is kinda fun.
  16. Congrats dude! Shooting that wheelie probably helped out, too!! Good job!! -Mike
  17. Call the Area Director. He DOES answer his phone, even though his 'technology' skills leave a bit to be desired.
  18. Can I be the first to say............."about time!!"...........LOL Now you've made it in Limited and Open....... Production next? :)
  19. Good job Trace! Now between knowing you can push the knee harder and the new Tripp Limited gun, you'll be hell on wheels!! Now if you can get the rest of the Texas Rangers to come out and shoot with us, we'll all be better off for it. ( Oh, and I'll be back to Open next month..........) :D
  20. That was it for me.....so I've starting learning to play golf. Nice break, and I still shoot a couple times a month too. -Mike

Harmon--- I may have a lighter recoil spring, if so, I'll bring it to you on Sunday......... -Mike
  22. Yes, your chrony can be............ trust me, I know. My best advice is chrono your loads on a couple of different chronos, assuming you can, and then take a good average. Around here, I try and test mine on the shooting chrony, the Oehler, and on the CED, and then average them out to get a pretty good idea. Sometimes chorno can be voodoo, really. -Mike
  23. I was shooting 7 a month, but lately I'm down to about two........ kinda got the burnout thing setting in, so I'm cutting back for a while. -Mike
  24. So I shot a match this weekend with my buddies at Texarkana-- when all was said and done, Odie was nice enough to let me shoot his wheelie for a few rounds. Thanks again Odie, by the way! Believe it or not, I can't recall ever shooting a wheelie before this........... Observations: Man, that wheelie was kinda fun, in a masochistic kind of way. Second, you find out that you are a trigger slapper in a hurry. I get away with it on my Open gun, but I sure could tell it on the wheelie. You HAVE to have good trigger discipline to hit anything, and I think I've been getting sloppy. I'm almost half tempted to buy me one of those contraptions and shoot it for a bit-- good stuff. Anyway, mainly me rambling to myself, but I figured I'd share. -Mike
