  1. Wow...... you mean you all don't just toss them in a jar with Efferdent?
  2. If I see Ken this weekend, I will ask him if there any updates on Area 4, both when and where. -Mike
  3. Although I personally had no issues with it, (and it worked fine at Area 4)...I do think the other powder choices are safer--especially in a loaner gun. I use n320 in my Limited gun now. Thanks for the data, I will add it to my chart that I try and keep. -Mike
  4. +1000 on this. GREAT product......great guy. Worth every penny, too!! -Mike
  5. Dave is a heck of a good guy, a shooter, and local Texas guy. You'll like 'em. A LOT. -Mike
  6. Me thinks this is a cultural thing: when I lived East Coast/North-- it really bothered people. Here in TX: no issues at all, dude!
  7. I also use 5.0g VVn320 loaded to 1.200. -Mike
  8. Glad you are back Jane....... you were missed! -Mike
  9. Any particular reason for wanting to make the change? Most people that aren't happy with 9x19 go to .38 super..... that being said, just had rebarreled an 9 x 23 Open gun, so I've got some experience working with the cartridge, but had a gunsmith do the change. -Mike
  10. Add me to the $25 list. -Mike

You were smooth and looked good today!! I could tell you had been working! Keep up the good work! -Mike
  12. Dogfish Head is good stuff.
  13. It's the wife's fault. I bought her one, and tried to resist........but I'm finally coming around. I plan to 'officially' start shooting Open full time next month, and retire the Limited/L10 guns for a while. Of course, finding the damn dot weakhanded is another thing......... Back to topic: the extended ejector and the offset scope mount together can do wonders and give you lots more margin for error. I swear by them.
  14. Every single Open gun I know that has experienced this problem has been rectified by buying the Brazos extended/tuned ejector. It may not work for EVERYONE, but it's worked for everyone I know. -Mike
  15. If you are thinking about shooting Open, you shouldn't be thinking about how much it's going to cost. I'd say get the most reliable gun you can, solid equipment, and a good lot of brass. That'll get you started, and I'd throw out a ROUGH figure of 3K for all. ROUGH figure. -Mike
  16. +1 Pat is a very good guy, and a good rep for the company.
  17. I'm a southpaw.........and I'm using a Limcat. I absolutely LOVE it. Awesome, awesome holster.......and finding anything for a leftie is a big PLUS!! -Mike
  18. Don't quote me, but I think I paid 10 cents a piece for my last batch.......
  19. Ok, so I have a gun with a grey Roupe grip on it. Nice and undercut, all that hoopla........ but it's kinda, well, DULL. I remember a thread not long ago that might have addressed this, but can't find, so asking here-- is there a way to dye/color these pretty easily? I don't really want to buy another one, so modding the color is my preference. Hell, I'm not opposed to a Sharpie, if that's my only option...........but I'll wait to hear from the experts! -Mike
  20. I did not find it be to be too temperature sensitive, but I live in Texas......... so I may not be the best source of winter/summer load data. I ended up switching to IMR 4756 powder, due to price. -Mike

Glad to have you back in the fold. Which gun are we shooting? You know you are always welcome to borrow one of mine if need be. I really need to take your path and start focusing on shooting. -Mike
  23. Did you buy this new, or used? If new, first thing I'd do is make a friendly call the the gunsmith. They are always glad to help fix issues and give advice on what's best. There are lots of variables that could cause issues, I'll say that. (Went down the guess what's wrong path not long ago, and it's a royal PITA!) -Mike
  24. Just wanted to give a shout out of congrats to my buddy Dave on making GM........ good job!! -Mike
