  1. Perfect, thanks guys, mine most certainly is not and SVI then
  2. What do I look for to tell if a slide is made by SVI with the interchangeable breech face? Supposably my pistol does but I am not so sure.
  3. I am going to load up a large amount of ammo for an M1a, and I have used IMR4895 with the gun in the past with different bullets, and have not been totally pleased with the accuracy as of yet. Just wondering if I should give Hodgdon 4895 a try or just let it be with the IMR. Looking for a good load to shoot out at longer distances for fun, 400-600 yds.
  4. So what happened to snipers hide, did it get sold out?
  5. I have searched the net, called everyone I can think of, but no-one has an SX2 hammer spring in stock anywhere, I really need one for my back up gun because it has been giving me light strike issues lately. To say the least it has a lot of miles on it.
  6. My 55gr load uses 23.9gr of X-terminator, @2.200" OAL. Has a nice recoil impulse, that is very easy to control. Only down side is that the load is a little dirty.
  7. I ordered something from midway the other day and to my suprised the shipping was 3 bucks, for so long their shipping rates were out of line high, I had mostly written them off as a go to vendor. Glad to see someone over there finally got with the program.
  8. To answer your question, the next thing you should probably do is shoot some groups with your ammo to see how it is grouping, thats what really matters, not so much what FPS your bullet is traveling. Make sure to watch your crimp with those extremes, they can be a little picky.
  9. I have had pretty good luck with the vickers sling, you can tighten the gun tight to your body and release it easily with a pull tab. I used one at the hard as hell match last year which had a lot of slung rifle movement and had no issues.

    Evil Squirrel

I just pissed my wife as much as that squirrel from laughing so hard and woke her up.
  11. It was a good read, quite interesting topic that provokes some thought
  12. As doug suggested change out the springs, but also check that the white plastic piece is adjusted properly, so it allows just a little case movement. I smashed a bunch of primers after changing calibers because I forgot to adjust the bracket. MB
  13. What material is the cutters you linked made from? Dillon says theirs are carbide? The cutters you linked look to be carbide? Not sure which ones are right for the 1200/1500 trimmer but, these do look like they may be less expensive? Sorry if I seem a bit confused.. I believe they are made from carbide and made by kennametal, who makes a ton of different cutting tools and inserts
  14. Has anyone confirmed exactly which insert size to use off this chart, I have the same issue and was just thinking how I need an insert with a chip breaker
  15. Wow, not sure how any of the other die maker's stay in business based on all of the rest only sharing 1% of the market... There's always a joker in the crowd, but seriously Dillon is the way to go for progressive rifle loading
  16. 99% of people use dillon's steel rifle die's. they work great
  17. Try just pulling it out with a sharp pair of dykes or needle nose. Grab it and turn it in the opposite direction it broke off.
  18. Have you contacted Doug Carden, he loads custom ammo and is pretty active on this forum
  19. Cosmetic, but man it really is not very hard to do.
  20. Looked at my data book, the best groups I got from my glock were with the 124RN, using 5.2gr of autocomp. The group was 2.5" dia @ 50ft, acceptable many peoples standards, but not mine any more for some of the steel we shoot in various matches, but plenty fine for paper.
  21. I have used the standard 124gr RN xtreme's and have tried several different powders and die settings etc. and wasn't happy with the accuracy out of my stock glock barrel, your KKM may be better. Personally I have had much better results with bayou bullets. Just my $0.02
  22. White oak barrels are very good at a fair price, the only brand I have had bad luck with accuracy was black hole weaponry
  23. Come on guys, we can do better. Tell the truth and if she will listen the economics between reloading and buying factory ammo, never mind that you will soon be buying 1000's of dollars in powder, primers and bullets. Then tell her you want to get her something special also, like a coach or Michael coors purse, full day at the spa, new hunting gear. Whatever she fancy's. Here is a hint, ask her close friends.
