Has anyone done a Silicone Carbide treatment to their aluminum grips? I know people are doing it to their STI's and Glocks, but I keep thinking of hitting my CZ's SSI Scale grips with some. I am curious if anyone has done it on a metal part and how did it hold up? Thanks.

I drink coffee before the match and Monster Ultra through out the match, probably a 2 or 3 cans. I generally work the night shift, and consume ridiculous amounts of caffeine on a daily basis, so it doesn't give me the jitters.

Mine shot a little bit tighter, but I think I had a pretty good factory bushing. My biggest issue was it shot 4" higher at 25 yards and I would have had to buy a new front sight. I took the 10x out and put the factory bushing back in and back to dead on at 25 yards. I good part, I just didn't need it. Inner diameter of each part Factory bushing .554 Cajun 10x .552

To get 132pf, this is my current load with Titegroup and 135gr Bayous. 3.5grs TG 1.140" OAL About 980 fps. I have run 1.115 OAL and dropped to 3.4grs for the same velocity.

Personally I don't decap before wet tumbling. I used to use a food dehydrator but they are too small and took to long to ensure the primer pockets were dry. Now I just wet tumble with no pins, then when done rinse, do a quick external dry by pouring it on a towel and shake it around. Dump in a bucket and when I have half a 5 gallon pail I dump them into a couple of large cheap cake pans from Walmart and throw them into my oven at 250 for a couple hours. The water boils and evaporates from the primer pockets and I can do several "gallons" worth of brass in one shot. You don't need to have it spread out in a single layer, do it in bulk. I have also switched to an auto wash soap with some wax in it and it keeps the brass from tarnishing and keeps the brass slightly slick. I just did two 5 gallon buckets of brass in a day. Pins take too much time to remove and the brass is just as shiny as when I used the pins.

10 shot strings, 45 degree outside temperature. 3.2 and 3.3 grains both got 129 pf. Going to confirm the velocities at 70 degrees tomorrow. 3.4 grains got 132 power factor, but I don't have the velocities on hand. Didn't see any signs of over pressure. This is out of my Shadow and Accu-Shadow. I used to run a OAL of 1.150 at 3.4 grains for 130pf, but had to reduce my OAL to 1.115 to allow my CZ P-07 to run. I had reamed the chambers of both my Shadows to fit longer OAL, but the P-07 barrel was too hard for my reamer.

I have an Accu-Shadow and a regular Shadow. Currently the Accu does shoot tighter groups, so also curious to see if it closes the gap.

Buy Mec-Gars for shooting, and keep the CZ mags for dry-fire.

Have an extra slide stop and some trigger return springs. Some people say that you should replace the extended firing pin at about 20k, I haven't had to do that. Lube it up and shoot the snot out of it. I clean my practice gun about twice a year when it gets so gunked up it quits functioning properly or if I have to change a trigger return spring.

I am a firm believer in having a dryfire/practice gun. I dry fire and practice exclusively with the backup and shoot matches with the match gun. Triggers are setup similar, currently the only difference is the match gun is an Accu and the practice is a Shadow that I did the work on myself and I purposely have a heavier trigger in it. Sights are a bit different for now, but the Accu will have the HAJO pulled off of it for a fixed rear.

Middle of last season and 60 pounds heavier. 3.53 seconds. Production A.

Once at the end of last season I cleaned it at 7 yards and I haven't been able to clean it since. I usually drop one or two. I also tend to shoot a bit faster than I need to and finish at 4.3 to 4.5 seconds. Seems harder indoors due to lighting. Production A. Love the dots.

Been using the wash and dry and just a bit of Lemi-shine for a year or so and definitely prefer it over Dawn. I use my house oven to dry, 225 for a couple of hours. I just load up a couple of lasagna pans I bought for drying brass. I don't decap before wet tumbling and this ensures the primer pockets get dried out. Works great.

Added a 1050 to the bench.

Truth. While they don't look aggressive like checkering or skateboard tape, your fingers really lock into the scales. Grip tape on the front and back straps finish it up.

That is interesting, I was at the same match. I also have an Accu, but running the Mec-Gars with Springer pads and it dropped it no problem. Wasn't even close. Jon

The Shadow will most likely shoot 3" to 4" groups at 25 yards. The Accu around 1.5" at 25 yards. Both with good ammo, and a better shooter than me. I only got the Accu as my wife wanted to get it for me for my birthday, and why not?

I just picked up a factory Shadow to be my backup/practice gun to save some wear and tear on the Accu. This is what I am doing to it. Replace front sight with Dawson, factory is too wide Replace safeties with thin Rami style Extended firing pin CGW Type 1 disconnector or pre-b disconnector CGW floating trigger pin Steel guide rod 11lb recoil spring 13lb hammer spring SSI scale grips, probably in red This will make it as close to my Accu's setup as possible without paying more for the Comp Hammer and stuff I don't need. My Shadow has a darn good single action pull and the DA isn't that bad, but the weight could be dropped a bit. I don't chase super light trigger pull weights, I don't mind them a bit heavy.
