I apologize know if this topic has been previously discussed. I have an EAA Witness, love the gun but do have an issue with it. The front sight is milled with the slide. I was wondering is having the front site cut and a machinist cutting a groove on the slide legal for USPSA production. I was planning to slide in a 1911 fiber optic sight. Will this be acceptable? If so any suggestions for machinists in the Chicago area? Thanks in advance guys.

New to forums. Thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Aleks. I live in a suburb of Chicago. Many of my friends are USPSA competitors. Single stack primarily. I own an EAA Witness, and plan to begin in production. Need to get more trigger time in before I begin competing though. Glad to be here, and hope to get to meet some of you at the meets.
