  1. Thanks. The shells slide in much easier now thanks to Magic Mike.
  2. Finally got around to sending my M2 to Accurate Iron to have Mike work his magic. I use the load 2 method mostly and was running into some problems with the shells jamming into the front edge of the loading port as well as hitting some sharp edges inside the port. The scope of work performed by AI was the following; smoothed out the loading port and polished some of the interal areas. Tuned the carrier latch and drilled and tapped it. Put a Arrendondo speed bar and Benelli carrier latch. Stippled the stock and forearm. Notched the rear sight. Lightened bolt. I was expecting my M2 to load better but I was pleasanlty surprised when I loaded it for the firt time. It was so much smoother and easier than before which also translates to faster. I pulled out the timer last night to see how much faster it was and was able to hit several sub 4 sec loading 8 shells. Previously my best time was right at 4.25 seconds. Below is a video of one of the runs. Thanks for your excellant work Mike and quick turnaround time. Regards, James
  3. Dave, what barrel did you go with on your LRP? How is the recoil? Thanks, James
  4. Phong, that was the best product review I have seen yet. Great job.
  5. Below is my video from Double Tap. It was my first Major match and ended up 2nd in Limited "C" class. This was a great match and very well run. James
  6. Thanks Keith and thanks for the drill. The only other drill I ever did was shoot 1 load 4 or 8, shoot 1. This drill is much more technical and really makes you focus. This was filmed with an IPhone camera so sorry about the quality. Next time I will set up two cameras and be sure and start at port arms and get the second camera on the targets. James
  7. I know it doesn't look like it in the video but I was in the low ready and my sight was in the dirt below the plate rack. Next time I will do it from port arms.
  8. I was finally able to make it out to the range today and give the Load 12 Challenge a try. Below are two of my videos from today. The first was in a time of 9.27 sec but I had a bobble that cost me a little time. In the second video I recorded a time of 8.98 sec. I also included a short video of my split times. Thank you to Jeremy at The Shooters Source for getting me my Pinwheels and Carbon Arms for the design. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=a987q_IOOb0
  9. Good point! I'll see if March Director Kurt Miller will allow us to use a different set of major match rules every month. That outta help teach these annoying newbies! You didn't have a problem with YOUR shotgun configuration did you? It sounds like you knew the rules, but declined to help your buddy out with the advice he could have really used BEFORE the match. If this sport is going to continue to grow, we all have a duty to share our collective experience with newbies from the moment they enter the sport so their learning curve is as steep and costless as possible. Stealthy, Jesse "The Mayor" has done a lot to help new shooters in OK and N. TX in the past couple years including myself. From lending equipment to new shooters to helping breakdown stages at matches. He is constantly trying to get new shooters involved in the sport. FYI
  10. I vote for no more than 8 in the tube after the buzzer. Why, because I started out with a +5 extension, then I got a + 7 extension, and now I want a + 9 because of the advantange it gives offer the guys with +5. I am tired of the arms/equipment race. Lets leave that to the open guys.
  11. 24" gives you more sight radius and the 21" is slightly less weight. Really not much of a difference either way. Go with the one the is cheaper.
  12. Glad to know that I am not the only one that had an uneventful experience with the JP Silent Capture Spring. I tried it in my JP rifle lower and didn't notice any difference. I just put it in my JP carbine lower and will give that a try this weekend. Hopefully I will get that "Wow" feeling like everyone else. Run your buffer tube and spring dry and you will hear it. If not I'll give u $59 for your captured setup. Thanks to KurtM's rifle class, I don't run my buffers dry. Mr. Mayor, your $59 offer was very generous but I will have to pass.

  14. Which barrel length are you guys going with, 18" or 22"?
  15. So, as long as you shoot at the designated target for that type of round (slugs), it is ok even if you don't hit the target?
  16. Terrato, when I was fighting with my Benelli issues, I called Nordic about the spring length and was told by them that it should extend 12-16" past the tube. Maybe your spring is to long. You said in your post that it is > than 16".
  17. Great! Do we need to let Marcy know prior to Thursday who is going to check us in? thanks, James
  18. My M2 keep doing something very similar. I tried everything possible with the springs but nothing helped. Finally I decided to switch out the carrier (lifter) and my problem was solved. I have about 1,000 rounds with the new carrier and not one failure. Below is a picture of the failure that I used to have with the old carrier. Good luck
  19. You want cheap, do it yourself, try a zip tie. I am waiting on someone to make a Cat Tail for the Z6I gen 2 scope. Until then see picture below. Don't laugh, it works well.
  20. Below is a video link of me loading 8 shells under 4.5 sec using the Carbon Arms pinwheel system. Video link
