  1. Bought a brand new M2 and got the full meal deal on it including a C-Rums carrier. The gun was never 100% reliable and jammed frequently. Tried everything possible to make it reliable but just couldn't make it happen. Finally after doing everything I knew possible and asking advice from everyone that would talk to me about M2 I decided to get a new C-Rums carrier. I put it in a like a Miracle the gun racks and cycles perfect. No more sticky feeling bolt and the carrier doesn't get hung on the bolt face. It feels smooth as silk now. I took side by side pictures of the new and old carriers. Maybe you can figure out what was wrong with the old carrier. All I know is the new one feels very different than he old and it works. James
  2. Jesse congratulations on your win in Tactical Optics and I am especially impressed with the designer jeans worn to do so (not ATAS). This may start a trend in TacOps. James
  3. What is the procedure for bending the lip on the lifter? Thanks
  4. It's Federal maron colored casing. The flash on the camera makes it look red but it isn't.
  5. I was shooting a 3G match this past Sunday and I had failures on every shotgun stage with my Benelli M2. After completely blowing every stage with the shotgun, someone said that I should check out my shotgun ammo (why didn't I think of that). I was using Federal 7.5, 1 1/8, 3 dram, 2 3/4" from Wally World. Well, below is a picture of one of the shells found in the box I was using. This is not the only messed up shell I found in the box but it was the worst. That is the last time that I ever use the cheap stuff in a match again. Lesson learned.
  6. Those are not the actual round counts but should cover the actuals plus any extras that may be needed. I will not know until I finish setting/writing stages but actuals should be around half the numbers posted... unless I get a little happy with a gun or two!! Any updates on round count and stages? Thanks
  7. Excuse me if this has been brought up in the past but is it possible (allowed) to shoot 2 separate divisions in the same match? For example, Tac Ops and Tac Iron and the only additional equipment needed would be the other rifle. You would obviously use the same pistol and shotgun for both divisions. Of course I would expect to pay two entry fees. Doing this would allow people to not only shoot the popular Tac Ops but try something out of their comfort zone like Tac Iron. By doing so you would get increased participation in all divisions. Would matches allow this? Thanks
  8. Which Shim worked for you? (B, C) I just changed from B to C and it made a big difference on my shot pattern. Everything was very high. Now I have about 60% of pellets above POA and 40% below.
  9. I have the Carbon Arms 15 inch on a JP nut which is 1 inch putting total tube length at 16" w/ 16" JP barrel. I have over 1,000 rds with this setup and have not had any problems. See pics below.
  10. Please post when you find out the answer on which cat tail will fit. Thanks
  11. Will it be a shoot on Saturday and/or shoot on Sunday match like in July?
  12. When is the next CCC 3G match? I don't see anything on the calendar for August. Thanks, James
  13. Thanks for putting on a great match. Your scoring system is amazing. Please share your technology with every match director in the area. Hopefully they will all adopt it. James

  15. I will be shooting the CCC Shooters match near College Station, TX.
  16. Who did that - how durable is it? Looks awesome! Texas Camo hydro dipping did it for me. It is supposed to be very durable but can't confirm that because I just had it done. My first match with it will be this weekend so I guess I will have a better feel for the durability after this weekend. Thanks
  17. Your rifle is super sweet. Does it feel very light weight? It sure looks it.
  18. You will get your chance very soon. Mine should be ready to go in 3-4 weeks. I thought you ordered the medium contour? I ordered the new lightweight 18" JP.
  19. You will get your chance very soon. Mine should be ready to go in 3-4 weeks.
  20. Mr Hill, if I am not concerned with shooting the lighest loads in my M2 should I just leave the bolt stock? My main diet for my M2 is Federal from Walmart 7 1/2 or 8 shot and it runs flawlessly. Remington low recoil slugs have been flawless also.
  21. I was recently able to shoot 2 brand new M2's side by side with the only difference being that one had a lightened bolt and the other had the stock bolt. I used the exact same ammo in each and to my surprise the felt recall in the M2 w/ the stock bolt was much less. I did notice the action to be quicker with the lightened bolt. Has anyone else done this non scientific test and what was your outcome? Another shooter who owns the M2 w/ the lightned bolt shot both shotguns and noticed the same recall effect that I did. Please share your thoughts on why this could be. I have always been told/read that a lightened bolt will reduce felt recall. thanks,
  22. I just bought a JP Light Mass carrier and set my adjustable gas block last week. It only took me 1 3/4 turns to get the bolt to stay open on an empty mag. I opened it up to 2 1/4 turns from closed just to give me a little cushion. I have shot about 850 rounds of XM193 this week without a hiccup.
