  1. Catching an error in scoring is the EXACT reason you should follow behind the RO. Nobody is perfect.
  2. I use this same mantra every morning before I leave for a match.
  3. Just so I am clear, you expect Dillon to replace the missing parts for free? The parts that your cousin didn't get from the guy he bought the press from? I could be wrong but isn't that like buying a car that is still under warranty that has a missing engine and expect the dealership to replace the engine for free? The Dillon warranty is awesome. I certainly wouldn't expect them to cover missing parts.
  4. Looks like you have a solid and realistic game plan. Have fun!!
  5. I just use them as they come from Dillon. What's the reason for polishing them?
  6. If the bullets are identical in OAL, then you should be pretty close to the same velocity. IOW, its a good starting point.
  7. I've given up on traditional ranges except to maybe sight in a pistol when I don't have time to go to the gun club.
  8. Those pencil boxes are a great idea! I have so much gun stuff right now it just sits in random boxes in my loading room. There is no way it will fit in my safe, but I can certainly get them onto some shelves. Thanks for sharing!
  9. One of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time!!
  10. I prefer a big dot for steel and a small dot for USPSA.
  11. It has been my experience there is little to no change. Last year, my chrono readings between OK, CO and LV were within one power factor.
  12. My gf works on the OB floor of a local hospital. She has seen, not once but twice, Shithead for a first name. Pronounced shithad.
  13. Definitely not enough bell. You should not see any lead shavings at the seating stage. Especially when you use a separate crimping die. Not a bullet problem at all.
  14. I like fast skills-based stages like this!!
  15. I can get 23 reloadable in my STI mags with Grams guts and the Dawson SNL basepad. I'm working on a 24 rounder now.
  16. Another fan of WST here. I use it for 9mm, .40S&W, .45acp and .38 special.
  17. For storage, I use .50cal ammo cans. To go to the range, I use the boxes the bullets came in. For major matches, I use the plastic ammo boxes.
  18. I have the Dillon powder check die. It sits on my load bench. I found myself still looking into EVERY case so I decided that the die wasn't needed.
  19. A longer ejector might help. Have you checked yours to make sure the tip isn't broken?
  20. The answer is yes, lead will always shoot softer. I doubt you will ever really notice the difference.
  21. This. There is no reason to scream that the range is going hot. As the RO, you should KNOW the range is clear before telling the competitor to make ready.
