  1. Always a good idea to see how your grip is going to be effected in different potions, , picking the gun up off the table, shooting off hand, prone out, sitting and leaning forward on a table. All potions I"ve HAD to shoot in matches. oh and prone on a roof top that was fun.
  2. I've done it. I replaced a striker spring and it was a POS had light strikes the whole match.
  3. I couldn't hit a thing today at 200 Yard 8" plate. I got close with the CZ but ran out of ammo. It was sure fun trying though
  4. I've seen CLP fail twice, both very early and cold mornings, I think condensation built up and froze the bolt after shooting. One was a match and one was a class. I've never seen motor oil, EWL slip 2000, or froglube fail.
  5. So, if you are looking to pick up your pace "having sights on target and ready to fire as soon as the target is available" is hard to beat. Knowing that, it follows to start your reload as soon as possible and get back on the sights. There is little to no reason to wait. pjb45 has it right of it.
  6. Glock 17 G4 124g HP Completely jacketed 4.6 g CFE Pistol 1.126" L= 963.5 H= 996.5 A= 975.8 ES= 33 SD= 12.5
  7. Rested on a bench from 25yds: Definitely good enough for GSSF.......if I can do my part! Thanks for posting, I'll post my groups SOON, my powders suppose to get here today.
  8. Depends on what you are loading for......what kind of bullets, etc. Some people don't mind 3-4 inches at 25 if their guns acts "right" and they are Shooting steel whereas a Bullseye Shooter wants an inch..... Marine Corp Colonial Shooting Academy Of course and that's why I ask.
  9. What is "very good accuracy" ? Thanks in advance for the load and data so far.
  10. I"m had issues with CBC (which came from Magtech) I make it my mission to get trash every case the ends up in my brass. Every other case my rounds come out great.
  11. I've got some on the way I'll post some group sizes, and FPS. I'll be loading 124 HP and 124 RN Lead. Looking for at least 130 PF and sub 2" groups at 25 yards. I hope to see what you guys come up with.
  12. I'm using this load with X-treme 124 RN but my groups are horrible, Is it because of the bullet (non berrys). I'm getting like 5" groups at 25 yards, from a 1911. What size groups are you guys getting?
  13. This is the method I've used for the last 30,000 rounds, Only using RCBS case lube. I remove the lube from the finished round with a towel. I might have to try 1 shot.
  14. +1 here. The end goal being more time behind a pistol and less time behind a press.
  15. I use my weak hand, I can use that technique on every gun I have, CZs, 1911s, glocks doesn't matter. Why confuse with issue with different ways with different guns.
  16. On my red dots the RMR and Leupolds it really doesn't matter what angle your looking at, the dots on it the bullets go there. There is always that Offset at close ranges of course.
  17. Man you guys are LUCKY I wish there was a class or something like that for New 3 gunners in Oregon.
  18. Ok I know I sounds a bit odd. But I just put a magnetic sight on my M2, it seems to hold well, however I want it locked down. Anyone had any experience with gluing the one of these down? IF so what kind worked? Thanks in advance.
  19. Mesa Tactical makes a stock thats shorter but I think its a pistol grip, they might make a standard configuration though.
  20. 3 gun Need a rule set for sure! a governing body not so much. The rules should be set standard, and set by real shooters with shooters interest not folks who want to make it fun TV viewing.
  21. I'm not 100% sure, but its my understanding that, Powder can receipts can very year to year and even lot to lot. This may account for the differences, Also CUP pressures can be different depending on the Copper washer they are using, and i'v also heard that CUP pressure isn't a very accurate measurement. That's why some places use PSI, I think
  22. This is what I've seen, so to answer your question, that what most 3 gun matches are. They are set up fairly well.
  23. I bought an extra just in case mine broke, Thats a SCREAMING deal.
  24. One of the better post, I've seen in a while. THANK YOU. Now I wish I hadn't sold all my Tula SPP on the cheap.
  25. 100 on this one, I've seen it many times myself. V1911 is spot on.
