  1. BUILDERS SUCK. I was stuck with a county tax bill the builder didn't pay. 18 month's after I bought the house, I sold it. I signed a piece of paper stating any unpaid taxes were my responsibility. 8 month's after I sold the house the fella I sold the house to called up and said his escrow was hit for $5200. Should have been my bill. $1800 was the builder's responsibility. Did I mention Clark county took over 2 years to assess taxes. Hell, I bellied up and payed the bill, I'm responsible. Called the builder and told him his portion was $1800. He wouldn't pay. Only fitting the housing market wiped the scum bag out. I throw him stinky chicken bones when I pass by his new home, the interstate underpass.

  3. Decaf Mocha or Earl Grey for me in the morning. Makes those annoying phone calls to non responders/non payers easier, more enjoyable and I know they are thinking of me all day.
  4. I'm turning into a cash man when possible. Someone in London England got my data and ran up $150. My bank was on the ball and stopped it in it's tracks. I'm pretty sure the card info came from a local big name hunting/fishing store. FYI - hit the clear button on the button pad if available before and after a debit/credit card transaction. Especially at the gas pump.
  5. I'll hold my tongue as it's already been posted. A picture is worth a 1000 words.

    ARRRGH!

My wife & I had the uncomfortable duty to remove my father in law from his car keys. He was not happy, claimed to have never had an accident. One day I was in the passenger seat while the odometer hit 80 mph in a 35 mph zone. I told him to slow down or stop and let me out. He was a wonderful man, he has since passed away and we miss him. We made the correct decision even though he was very upset about our decision. He did not argue after a couple days so I think in his heart he was ready to admit the time had come.
  7. Silver creek match results are posted to uspsa.org match results page. Silver Creek club code is IN23. Special thanks to Grant & Eric who drove down from Ohio and helped with setup. you guys rock. Thanks
  8. Good job, now you have more money for safe candy.
  9. We just wrapped up our local uspsa match last sunday. We had 6 stages, 153 rounds and 69 shooters. We ran 6 squads, avg 11-12 per squad(we had to). 1 ro, 2 backup r.o.'s(willing competitors with lots of experience), 2 scorekeepers (hand the scoresheets to someone who just shot), the rest paste and set steel. We had a blast, match ran 4 hrs. Lots of great feedback. I like to run 1 R.O. for every stage to keep the squads flowing. My R.O.'s shoot for $5 unless they show up for target placement morning of the match, then they shoot free. Maybe I'm spoiled, I usually get alot of stage help the day before the match and the morning of the match. Our club does offer biscuit & sausage bkfst. sandwich's & coffee to shooters who show up early match day for setup. Saturday stage setup crew shoots the match free. I want our shooters to participate in match setup and squad help so I reward willing volunteers. Seems to work.
  10. Sunny and 65 here, will be @ the range later. All the winter clothing is going in storage. We had beautiful wx this past weekend, our 2nd uspsa match of the year drew 69 shooters, 30 in production class. We had a blast.
  11. I always paint my nails when I shoot with Don. Try having lunch, mexican, with kevin, make sure to invite Don. Chips are easier to pickup with long nails and Don likes a good back scratch. can I get addidas terrex swift's @ sears?
  12. You were invited to Sellersburg, Ind. for a match sunday. Our shooting weather, sunny and 64. We had a great crowd from north of Indy. Great way to rid yourself of cabin fever.
  13. The Louisville, Ky. area has been in the deep freeze since December 1. Last weeks tuesday forecast for(2/8/11)called for a gradual warm up with sunshine thru the weekend. I took a gamble and schedule our first uspsa match for the year. Turns out everyone had cabin fever, were sick of the cold and needed to knock the rust off the equipment and trigger finger. The weather cooperated, sunny & 64, so did the competitors, 67 total including 4 gals. We had a great time reaquainting with friend's we hadn't seen in month's and the satisfaction of each of us delivered a minimum of 128 rounds down range.
  14. I am sending my match books to mjl, who will scan and make available to all interested parties.
  15. I'd love to scan & send stage diagrams but I don't have a scanner and the books are match books. Got a bunch of guns but not much computer equipment.
  16. I don't do prone or kneeling in my stage design. Many older fellas shoot our match's and once down it takes 5-10 seconds for them to get up. It's hard on thier knees and I don't want them sweeping an arm or hand attempting to get up. I have 100's of stage designs that I've used and receive great feedback on the stages and none of them require prone or kneeling target engagement.
  17. SVI, have one, another on the way. Brazos, have one, fantastic gun. Bedell, several buddy's have them, run beautifully. Can't go wrong with any of the three.
  18. I wear Rudy Project glasses with red lens. I also have clear and smoke lens. I like the daylight contrast on the tanneutral targets the red lens provide. The target tanneutral color appears to jump out at me with the red lens.
  19. I recently sent my 6 year old Rudy Project shooting glasses back for a tune up. I downloaded their shipping paperwork from their website, shipped to Rudy project Jan. 18 and received them back yesterday. New lens were installed, frames were cleaned, whatever remaining majic they performed, the glasses & frames are like new, they look great, new lens are fantastic, shipped back to me, total cost $19.95. How can you not love a USPSA sponser with service like that. Gotta love em.
  20. I had a local machine shop cut 8 inch round steel bar stock in 3/4 " thick slices & welded to a 3" X 5" base. I use them for pistol & .22 rf only. I don't dare try .223. I would stick with the uspsa sponser's for rifle targets. My locally made steel targets were $15 each and they have taken thousands of hits and look like new.
  21. I have peltor 6S, the sound was cutting out, I removed the batteries and cleaned the contacts with scotch brite, or you can use 600 or 800 grit sandpaper, give it a shot of contact cleaner and they work great. Just alittle corrosion on the contacts. worked for mine.
  22. Love that video with the distinctive clank @ 200+ yds. We had 50 yd. PP's and USP poppers at a local match a couple yrs. back. What fun watching guys go thru thier loaded mags. Stage drama, one guy shot it great, everyone else shot fast trying to match and created plenty of laughs in attempting keep up.
  23. The more I relax the quicker my draw speed becomes. Relaxing in the start position is paramount. When I'm standing waiting for the buzzer and I'm telling myself to relax, I'm still tight. Deep breathe, relax shoulders, relax elbows, biceps, muscle reflex is faster when you are relaxed.
