  1. It's the new year and it's time to announce the first MOM of 2018. This member is a relative newbie. He joined in September 2014. Since then, he has been very active in posting shooting experiences and offering help to other members. He's very active in Rifle and 3 gun. The primary qualifications to be named MOM is that the member show a willingness to share and participate. These are Brian's Prime Directives. This member has more than met those directives. When one of the moderators was asked his opinion on this choice for MOM he said, " Sounds GREAAAAAAT!!!". Please join Brian and the Moderators in congratulating the first MOM of the year....TonytheTiger.

  3. Glad to hear it went well. There is nothing "simple" about a broken arm. Rest up and get well soon.

(mostly likely politics or shooting related..which are out of bounds)Please review what you are..ahhh...allowed to hate. :)Hate Forum Rules:http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8097[note: this is a generic reply]

  6. My favorite Brian quote.. "See the target, point the gun at the target (often, align the sights on the target), and hold the gun there until the bullet has left the barrel "
  7. I hope you thaw out by April. Looking forward to the Battle. Stay warm and Happy New Year.
  8. It's finally here. The end of 2017 and the final M.O.M award winner for this year. This month's recipient has been a member since 2006. He is a regular contributor to the Zen Forum. He has a very dry wit that allows him to offer advice without offense. One of his best quotes was ,"The way I like to describe the issue with learning on a progressive press like a 650 is making 400 to 800 mistakes in an hour". And..."shhhhhhh! let them find out on their own! I didn't say that". He is always willing to share and offer help. He is a fine example of Brian's prime directives. This member was obviously not happy with a pre-made avatar, so he pulled out a pencil and drew a self portrait . Please join Brian and the Moderators in congratulating the December 2017 MOM winner....Miranda.
  9. Good to see you back. I'm going to take you with me to the next match. With that much metal, maybe the TSA screening would finally miss those one or two shell cases that always seem to turn up in my knapsack after a match. Speedy recovery my friend.
  10. 30,000 volts!? That's very shocking information!
  11. It wouldn't be Christmas without your video each year. Merry Christmas Pat. BTW, what ammo are you shooting?
  12. My 650 is a little different but yours should have an adjustment screw that keeps the piece that you show with a yellow arrow from coming out too far. It looks like your adjustment screw is too far out. That's the screw to the side of your yellow arrow in the picture. The 650 I'm familiar with has that screw in the top, not on the side. Pull the handle all the way and tighten that screw. It should keep the piece from traveling too far. That's what causes you to have to push it back.
  13. Over crimping might cause the problem. When I first started loading 9mm I was over crimping and had a few that sounded like hot loads. Recheck the crimping die. I use the lee FCD now.
  14. This year's keynote speaker is the legendary BRIAN ENOS! That says it all.
  15. Cabellas is having a sale. Free shipping and sale price. They are not in stock but they are taking backorders. The site says shipping in 3-4 weeks. http://www.cabelas.com/product/shooting/reloading/reloading-powders-primers/pc/104792580/c/104761080/sc/333152280/federal-centerfire-primers/739971.uts?slotId=0
  16. The turkey has been digested, so that means it's time to announce the November 2107 MOM award winner. This month's winner is a newbie( relatively speaking) having joined in 2013. He has over 2700 posts. Post count is the least factor in determining an MOM unless those posts show a high level of willingness to share and to give help and advice to fellow members. If you need advice on a load or an evaluation of stage design, this member is always ready to help. This month's winner has contributed a large wealth of experience and information. Please join Brian and the Moderators in congratulating the November 2017 MOM recipient, the Burned Out man himself... rowdyb.
