  1. Good luck to all our members in the storm's way. Stay safe.
  2. As a voting member of this illustrious and socially challenged club, I am dismayed at the lack of literacy shown by this candidate. I believe that the principle of RTFR applies here. If he had read the F***ing rules he would have noted rule #5. Photo of both sides of your 1911 Single Stack must accompany membership application . The applicant's great saving grace is his prodigious math skills in his being able to count up to18,571. I vote to accept his application when he shows us the other side of that sweet SA.
  3. We've already had a few well deserved nominations this month. The month is almost over. Time to let that special member know how much he or she is a appreciated. One week to go. Post your nomination here or you can PM a Moderator. Either way, get those names in now.
  4. I just looked through my eclipse pictures and found this...
  5. This solar eclipse was way cool. I projected the image of the sun through my Nikon spotting telescope. I'm in CT so we only got a 2/3 eclipse. Anyone else take pictures that were nearer to the full eclipse line?
  6. I have a Desert Eagle 50 AE. The bolt stabilizer pin is stuck. It's all the way in and I can't get it out. The bolt moves freely. Suggestions? I'm not sure when this got stuck. I only noticed it because I went to remove the bolt for cleaning. It looks like it might be stuck in because of carbon build up. I've tried soaking it with wd40 but no success. The bolt cannot be removed until I fix this first. Can I just leave it this way and safely keep shooting the gun?

  10. Never say that. You've never heard of Murphy?
  11. Yes, it's that time again. The July 2017 MOM award winner has been a member here since 2002. He has been of enormous help to other members with posts of advice and his sharing of shooting experiences. I can't repeat this enough, but Brian started these Forums with the prime directive of sharing and participating. This month's winner has more than filled that prime directive. Please join Brian and the Moderators in congratulating ChuckS as the July 2017 MOM award winner.
  12. The system has been super fast. Haven't had any problems logging in. Much better.
  13. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and pretend that you are not not calling me an unprincipled liar, Sir.
  14. Posting Guidelines Attitude Please be polite. Or if not polite, at least respectful. Offensive Material Please do not post offensive material. If you wouldn't want your 10 year-old to read it, please don't post it. I'm not sure where this kind of language violates the guidelines, but it sure sounds like it violates something.

  16. Wow! Now that's the way to worship fine coffee. Keep it hot. I'll be right over.!!
  17. The June 2017 MOM award is being given to a very popular member. If you need advice on a CZ or a Tanfoglio this is the guy with the answers. He has posted many times on techniques on gun tuning. Need an answer on the right load for a Gold Team? He's the guy to ask. He was instrumental in requesting and setting up a Classified sub forum called the EAA/Tanfoglio Chop Shop. He joined in 20012 and is already coming up on 7000 posts. Great example of the Forum's prime directive of sharing and participating. It is with great pleasure that Brian and the Moderators recognize kneelinatlas's contributions to the Forums by awarding him the MOM award. Please join us in congratulating kneelingatlas.
  18. Just opened an unexpected package from a friend in Florida. I found a bottle of Bushmills 1608 single malt and some ammo. Two great things to shoot. Thanks brother Andy.
  19. Last chance to nominate a member for the prestigious MOM award. Please take a moment and give that special person a chance to be recognised for their contributions to the Forums.
