Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. You've come to a great place. Welcome from Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati/No Mans Land :-)
  2. You hafta admit though.... the resemblance is uncanny
  3. Thanks for the insight gentlemen.... After much consideration, I think I'm going to just leave it alone for now and just concentrate on whats wrong with me. Right now it's a better gun than I am a shooter. :-)
  4. I agree that the trigger would be a better investment and would probably be better sooner as opposed to later. I think it would be a step back, albeit in a positive direction in the long run, to have to revamp trigger control that you've grown accustomed to. I actually shot limited with it. The reasoning was two fold: I didn't have enough mags to run production first time out and I actually thought fewer reloads first time out cut back on stress a little. Maybe that thought process goes against the grain somewhat but thats just me. Lol.
  5. After reading many posts regarding issues with M&P accuracy and trigger action, I have a question. Being new to the addiction, how do I know WHEN to begin investing in aftermarket parts for my M&P? Would an aftermarket barrel and competition trigger assembly benefit me now or should I wait until I know that it is my handgun that is holding me back? The disadvantage, it would seem, in waiting is having to adapt to a different trigger than I've run up until that point.
  6. Jd, hopefully I got mine out of the way yesterday. I learned a lot and yep... I can see the addiction end of it for sure..... I wanna do it again today! Lol.
  7. Sdm74, I had the same concern about being able to manipulate the mag release. I actually reversed it to the right side of the firearm and now release with the middle finger of my Strong hand.... Takes a little getting used to but it will help you retain a better grip through reloads. Just a thought.... Switching that release is pretty easy to accomplish as well.
  8. I'm more determined now than ever Jay.... Look forward to meeting you as well.
  9. Had a fantastic time at MRPC today.... Didn't last as long as I had hoped thanks to my own stupidity getting me DQ'd on the 4th stage of the day. Regardless, I had a blast and learned a lot..... Mostly what NOT to do. Lol. Everyone was super nice and willing to offer advice and assistance. Can't wait till next time!
  10. I should add that the consistancy in grip and pull come with the large backstrap.... Can't edit from my Droid. :-)
  11. In your humble opinion, would you rather use a smaller backstrap for strong hand dominance or a larger for more weak hand contact area? Have you tried it both ways and what effect did it have? I feel more comfortable with the small backstrap but I feel that my grip is more consistant and the trigger location on my finger seems to give a more consistant, smoother pull.
  12. No! Not like that Adively!!! Good grief man, I'm not entirely sure but am fairly certain that a man can be sent straight to hell for driving such an abomination!
  13. That would be the best carpool ever. The bridge to miami is still out. Im thinking go TRUE general lee style to the match I'll get em welded shut, beef up the suspension, and get the mudders slapped on er tomorrow. They're calling for rain tomorrow so we may hafta just do primer instead of the full blown paint job... might make the hood slide a little rough... YEEEEHAAAAAAAAW!!!!
  14. I think this might be the longest thread for "Introduce Yourself"..... See? All ya hafta do is step in and stir the pot, even if by accident, and let the fun begin..
  15. Field Service Technician for an air compressor distributor.... From 5hp to 15,000hp.... And they all have these things in common. They all suck and they all blow.
