  1. Last match of the year is done at Lead Farm, time to concentrate on this match, MO3GC. Any suggestions on specific things you would like to see?
  2. If your wife hasn't already spent all your $$$ on Black Friday shopping There are slots available.
  3. I have one, good optic, excellent glass, I like the FFP reticle, the circle for close in work is too big to be of any value. Close paper (under 15 yds) it's usable, that's it. If I didn't have a RDS on 45 I wouldn't like it. I have never used the illumination, seems fairly bright, but I have never used/liked/needed, a lit reticle.
  4. Kinda what I'm leaning towards, only use a rope like we do in 3 gun. Anyplace a shooter could/would be shooting from, gets a 2x2 . Like you, most of my stages will cover quite a bit of ground , and not keep the same shooting area, every stage, every month.
  5. I shot it, my first ever rimfire match. I liked the "difficult" rifle stages. Didn't really care for the pistol portion. Kinda boring compared to what I'm used to, the rifle side was more to my liking. I can see it as a great start for youth shooters.
  6. As zzt said window size means nothing, if you're looking at/seeing, the sight/window size, you are doing it wrong. You should be able to cover the front of the glass and still get hits with no problems. FFlll has always been plenty bright, I prefer the JPoint CD myself, it's even smaller. I do wish it had manual controls as well though.
  7. We had 14, over 100 yds, on this stage at last years Missouri 3 Gun Championship (MO3GC.com)
  8. As 12Glocks said , DOUBLE the range you will be shooting. I have the Vortex 850, not happy at all with it. It will BARELY range a 4'x4' white steel target at 600 yds on a cloudy day. On a sunny day it takes 4-6 attempts, tried it yesterday on a solid overcast day, I got 1 , out of 60-80 attempts, would only reliably range ~275 yds, on a 12", never got a range on a 16" at 320 yds. I could range the closest 3, got the 4th (left side) after 12-18 attempts, (kinda hidden in this pic) , never got a range on the ~300 & 400, got 1 on the 600. I moved so all targets were in the clear when ranging, just took this pic where all targets were visible in one shot.
  9. BUT , I want to make this $20 walmart special hold up like my buddies $500 Brand XX optic. You guys aren't helping any !? ? Sorry to offend the OP, but many of us have been there, done that, tossed the crappy RDS, and paid the price for a decent one. That being said even a high dollar one can fail, you will likely cause more damage taking it apart and trying to "fix" it
  10. I don't shoot an AK style mag fed but that sounds like a lot of trouble to get a gun to run. I just make sure to keep my loaded mags out of direct sun, no problems even with 29 round mags.
  11. Thunder Beast Arms, has once again stepped up and are providing over $7,000 worth of suppressors to the prize table ! https://thunderbeastarms.com/ Deal
  12. We have 4 setups for different loads/calibers, they are never emptied, just topped off when needed.
  13. The FF lll is very bright, unless the sun is the back drop for your targets, you will have no problems.
  14. Laser is too slow in many instances, fantastic for some.
  15. Kinda what I figured, unfortunately the one I like - JP CD , only comes in auto.?
  16. Any tips on what worked for you? The problem - total dark match, only WML . In general shooting it's OK. BUT near a white object, barrel/no shoot it gets washed out. Has anyone figured out a way to "trick" the sensor to think it's brighter?
  17. These are HP, I can't remember exactly , have to ask my son. They were some prize table pickups. Worst problem is they don't feed out of the 57 Rnd MBX, until I get about 8-12 down then they feed. I have to use round nose to top off the mag.
  18. Wow that's terrible, a buddy has 2 GMR's, and another buddy that we did a build for that are similar accuracy to mine, ( we haven't actually compared). But they practice together quite a bit, shooting skinny samies at 100 with no problems.
  19. I don't know why so many are afraid of shooting 100 yds+ with a PCC. 6 shot group, 125 yds, 2 moa dot(seems more like 3 in my testing) 10" barrel, Cannibal comp. 124 gr 135 PF ammo. Just doing some final testing before a night match figured I'd stretch it out a bit. Also shot a 2/3 IPSC at 150 offhand, 5/5, it starts dropping quite a bit at 150. I need to test my open loads at distance, they are chrono'ing 1850fps?
  20. 7 yds at some matches, we recommend 12 yds for our easy reset targets. Mainly because most way over choke. I dont think I have ever gotten frag from a SG target, maybe some from those with a T base, but not many use those anymore.
  21. Registration link https://clubs.practiscore.com/2019-missouri-3-gun-championship-clone/register I am working on having lodging available on the range, motel style rooms that sleep 4, could max out at 6 if your group is that big. Get registered, and stay tuned for lodging updates. Any questions ask away.
