  1. Once you break the threshold of 95%, you are a GM even if your active percentage drops below it.
  2. And the major match experience.
  3. I agree. It also looks like you are shifting your weight back a little bit when you reload....your body is noticeably straighter on the 2nd shot. You can also see on the first shot your grip is absolutely perfect (great cant to your weakhand) and on the 2nd shot the weak hand is much straighter (not as much recoil control). Try bring your gun in a little bit more...that will cut down on the length of the pause you need to double-check the orientation of the mag to the gun. Bring the gun in about 8 inches and you will have much more fine motor control. Try to hit the mag release a little bit earlier....if possible we want the mag falling straight out of the gun. When you get faster you will really started beating the two mags together. Try and get your weak hand to the mag a tad faster. Imagine it as kind of a wet towel snapping down to the mag. The reload actually looks pretty good though...just those little things will take tenths and hundreths off of it.

  5. One of the most effective ways for breaking down a memory stage is by looking at the stage from behind all the props...
  6. CR Speed is the only mag pouch I would use.
  7. I have to agree with Sandoz. Fedor is an absolute animal, I highly doubt there is anyone out there that can beat him right now.
  8. Hughes will beat Gracie for two reasons. Hughes significantly overpowers him, and Gracie is not well rounded enough.
  9. Also by going 4, 5, 1, 2, S you are actually transitioning a ton more than you are by going 5, 4, 2, 1, S. Also I am pretty much guaranteed to have a faster draw by drawing to 5 than 4. It may not be the safest way, but I think it is the quickest way. I would rather not plan on my stage starting with "If I miss."
  10. I would actually probably go 5, 4, 2, 1, stop. I really don't like the long transition to the smallest plate in the stage...I would rather have a much faster transition to the rectangle, really followthrough on the 10 inch plate, then just transition to the bigger 12 inch plate.
  11. Reload first, then snap your eyes to where you are going. Ideally, the reload should be completed within the first step or two.
  12. I'm back at square one...no big deal. I didn't hit the sub-3 El Prez on my first attempt either.
  13. I don't really have my weight on my right foot at all. It's just a small push getting my weight to my left leg faster.
  14. If there is a target to MY right, I will bend my left knee while slightly pushing off my right foot.
  15. You are right. Transitions originate from the hips and the knees. The main thing to remember is once you have your index and the gun is mounted, nothing from the waist up moves. I'll give you an example of a hard transition. If I am shooting a target and have a very hard transition to the right, I will call my last shot on the target, snap my eyes to the next target and simultaneously bend my left knee heavily and slightly push off of my right foot which allows me to transition to the right much faster. Another thing to be careful of: Draw an imaginary line from your feet through your toes to the berm. Whatever targets you are shooting should be between those lines. This will eliminate any fighting you have to do with your body.

  17. Hey guys, here is the updated reload video. I got some requests to make it like TT made his reload video, so here it is. I hope it helps. The Reload
  18. Private lessons from someone competant usually won't run less than $35 an hour.
  19. Ron, Looks pretty good! I only have two suggestions. First is bring the gun closer to you by a good 8 inches. You have long arms so it would be better if you didn't have to move the mag as well. Second, try and get the gun just a bit higher. Make an imaginary line from your eyes straight out and the magwell should intersect with it. Nicely done!
  20. Well the range was literally covered in ice, so that isn't gonna happen today. Hopefully I get some footage from the match this weekend.
  21. Now that you mention it, a bit later I will post some videos of a moving reload. Hopefully in live fire.
  22. Yes Max won a stage with a penalty....but did he win the match? Would you rather win stages or win matches? I guarantee to you that if you e-mail Max and ask him the same thing, his advice will be the exact opposite to you. You shouldn't let a sub-par performance (even though it had a good result) influence the way you shoot.
  23. Reload looks pretty good. Only thing I would really recommend is getting the gun higher. Put the magwell in line with your eye. Helps you see the reload better and it is very consistent. Also after ejecting the mag, moving the gun in the opposite direction tends to get the mag out of the gun a bit quicker.
  24. Actually there are probably 4 shooters. Max Michel Travis Tomasie Dave Sevigny JJ Racaza
  25. I would say figure out what you are willing to pay and go asking around. Bringing a coach in obviously isn't cheap, but there are only 3 people in the world I would take a class from.
