  1. One thing I can tell you is foot speed has WAY less to do with performance on a field course than most people think. Performance in field courses comes with refined fundamentals...that and the fact that most people get so amped up about speed they shoot horrible points.
  2. In other words...no political discussion.
  3. I invision stealing a hostages clothes and dressing him up like the terrorist and then planting myself in the middle of about 5 of them....who are bound of course. They also better hope I don't see them on their infiltration.
  4. Man I would have too much fun doing that...I can be pretty cunning and ruthless when I want to me. If they really want a challenge I can think of 5 guys off the top of my head to be the hostage takers.
  5. I actually liked this one the most out of the series. Justin Long was hilarious as well. I was pretty surprised to hear all the crazy scenes with the cars were done without CGI.
  6. It's considered a recoil controlling device.
  7. I thought Die Hard 4 was awesome...best of the series for sure.
  8. I agree with you. In order to be taken professionally by people....it has to appear professional.
  9. You have way too much time on your hands Kyle...btw...tell your sister to stop calling me.
  10. I met him 4 years ago, and he is literally the only person I have talked to every day for 2 years. Every day. He was the only friend of mine that absolutely never once screwed me over in any way. He did all he could to help me and asked for nothing in return. I've never known someone as stubborn as him...imagine being in pain 24 hours a day and be as competitive and happy as anyone you'll ever meet. He never quit, he lived his life better than anyone I have known. There won't be another like him, and already the world seems a little less bright. I miss my friend...
  11. In regards to shooting on the move or not. It becomes a question of how long it will take you to get that A moving than it will static. But, more than that it is a question of the stage. Which target (s) are you shooting at, are there no shoots or hard cover, how does the stage flow, how are the rest of the targets in the stage (maybe you can afford to drop a few points for the increased speed), how is the terrain, are you feeling confident enough to do it, etc. As you can see, there is a lot more to it than math. I think there are almost 4 levels of proficiency in this case. 1: strictly by feel 2: strictly by math 3: math and feel 4: math, feel, and perception / experience
  12. Slow down? Rookie. Just hit each plate in the center and you can't miss.
  13. That's also very heavily based on your temperment and a lot of times your skill. The better shooters get different feedback from a bad practice session than a lesser skilled shooter. Try both and see what works for you. Now a days I'd much rather go out in marathon sessions than short sprints.
  14. That's awesome Dave. I haven't been to many concerts, but I'd love to see sevendust.
  15. Depends on the workout. If it is a 2 hour bike ride, I'll listen to Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mishka, some Saliva, and a few others with the power song being Dani California. Mainly stuff built for the long haul. If I'm doing a circuit where intensity is key I'll go into a lot harder stuff...some Metallica, Three Days Grace, Sevendust, a little Static X, maybe some Korn, and a few others with the power song being Pain. You need music that motivates you, but it has to motivate you in the right way for what you are doing. If I was planning on riding for 2 hours and listened to Black from Sevendust, I'd be dead after the first 20 minutes. Best advice I can give is the tempo of the music has to match the tempo of the activity.
  16. Equipment and equipment positioning.
  17. For me personally, the programmed pause takes place mentally before I actually shoot the stage. When I'm running through a stage in my head I will definetely program small pauses to almost emphasize certain parts of the stage. When I am actually up and shooting and I get to the place where the pause was programmed, it just feels more controlled, although not discernable from the outside.
  18. Sounds like that's exactly what you should have done.
  19. Yar is right. You cannot come with a downward elbow striking with the point in the UFC. Chuck got hit right in the temple and that's when he flattened out. The main camera angle had John McCarthy in the way so it looked like a punch, but from other angles you could definetely see that illegal elbow. I also think Chuck was recovering, as soon as the John stepped in, Chuck's hands went up to defend himself again. I don't think it was stopped too early, but I would have liked to see him wait a bit longer. Oh, and btw, I wanted Rampage to win.
  20. Spoilers... Anyone else catch that elbow of questionable legality that made Chuck go limp?
  21. Use this time to train everything but your gun handling. Get yourself in shape...lose weight if you need to. Work on explosive speed. Train your hand - eye coordination. You'll be a much better shooter when you get back.
  22. I dont see how changing area is going to increase participation.
  23. Monthly matches need to be treated the same as big matches. That way you'll always be prepared. A stage is a stage...regardless of how many shooters are at the match. Treat it accordingly.
