  1. I agree! My first exposure to action shooting was in 1990 as an 18 year old. The Bianchi Plate rack speed shoot at and indoor range was the first shooting competition I tried. My father and I were hooked and started modding. He/we had a Springfield 1911A1 45ACP parkerized and dropped in a Wilson Comp/barrel kit. Single Port. Cutting Edge! As we learned more about USPSA and Steel Challenge, gamesmanship started. First a Single Stack 1911 with 2 port comp/ BOMAR/ Serrated front post with sight black... S&A Magwell in 38Super... Oooh so State of the art. Around '93 we went with a Tasco scoped Custom Springfield P9 for the High cap game in 9x21. After starting back up last year I'm still using that Tanfolio/Springfield today in 9 Major. Times have Changed!!
  2. Great info guys! I just got my Open gun back from JV Dynamics and working on some loads. I heard good things about Autocomp.
  3. Got the second EAA back from some tuning.... WCPI Everything on this one. Again Circa 1993 Barrel Hammer/Sear Slide stop pin Scope Mount by Kevin Toothman way back when. He is now part of USSA. I hope you can admire KT's Work as much as I do.....
  4. I don't mind driving 3 hours for dinner and send some rounds down range in vegas. Who's down?
  5. +1 for 9mm for me because I'm a cheap SOB. I'll save the cash for more shooting. Research how much you plan to shoot and consider reloading.
  6. It is constructed of brass because it does not generate sparks. Hence why the RCBS one is constructed in plastic.
  7. Hi all. Sorry for reviving an old thread..... What did he have to say? I was active in the early 90's. In fact, we had a So Cal Based Tuning shop for Practical Shooting.... I remember Carrying all the high tech Carbon Fiber Scope mounts for TZ/P9. In fact, I have a 9x21 sitting in the safe with the Tasco Mount... It had all the WCPI parts, Hammer, trigger, sear.. Slide stop... That's would be great for him to make a comeback......
  8. Blow your budget and buy a CONTOURHD... $275 for a totally self-contained unit that shoots over an hour of high definition footage. Small too. I used an Oregon scientific and motocomm unit first. Wish I hadn't wasted my time. Got some vids at: http://www.YouTube.com/memphismechanic MemphisMechanic, Nice camera... Really has me interested... How did you mount it?
  9. Santa gave me : Primers Pmags LPK Oh what a great Christmas!!!!

  12. Nice find guys! I'm diggin the Epic Camera.... Here's what my buddy set up on a old baseball cap. Don't laugh! It works!! Hahahah
  13. If you like the pistol for what it is, shoot it anyway. I believe you will be in Limited / Minor I use a G35 in Limited with .40 and with 9mm barrel conversion (cost savings, Limited/Minor)
  14. D, I know, I know..... Have a peek on what the HSC entails.... http://www.ag.ca.gov/firearms/hscinfo.php It's at least a start right?
  15. SSLAV, I do like the cut scene, it does give the vid an overall professional look. And you are right, a bit more work to make it look good. Notice how after you shot the stage, it felt like you were soooooo slooooow then watching first person, not so much.???
  16. Can you say Addict? LOL I'll look around for hotels in the area, there are some new ones in town for you guys to stay. I'm the same way brother!!!
