  1. Working on the registration forms today, should have a link up tonight,,,,,, I shoot faster than I type !!
  2. Revolver, to me it's just more fun, and challanging. Always say SS soon, but never do, but maybe
  3. Great!! Cliff Walsh will be setting up the match as our point man in Florida, bring your autograph book as Cliff is a celebrity !!!
  4. Would love to use zombie bleeding targets, you have any idea how to score and paste????? The cost would be prohibitive, and we do have our own copyrighted targets, the external diminsions are the same, but the scoring zones are different
  5. The range is SVDFI in Nelson, Va. right on the border of NC.
  6. The only thing we have in common with IDPA is that we use guns and the scoring is time plus penalties. ZSA is geared to the new shooter with FUN and SAFETY as the 2 key components. Rules are very basic and simple, no "tactics" or expensive fancy gear needed. Please check our website, all of it, and follow along on facebook and youtube. We have 2 episodes on "Trigger Talk TV.com" of both what we are all about and many videos and interviews with National Champs from other sports (IDPA and USPSA). Before making a judgement, please check it all out, thanks and be SAFE
  7. Depending on how well Mike does at Shot Show next week, there may be some cool stuff to win at some side matches.
  8. Happy to announce the first ever Virginia State ZSA "ZAG" (Zombie All Gun) Championship Match. Dates are April 21st and 22nd, with staff shooting on Friday the 20th. This match will be 9 stages of 3 gun Zombie killin' fun. Round counts will be posted soon, but expect at least 150 pistol, 100+ rifle and 75 or more shotgun. Knowing Mike, the round counts will be up there. More details as they are finalized. Not sure about ZSA? Please check out our website for all rules and scoring for ZSA 3 gun. Thanks.
  9. Welcome Doc, join us at Sportsman's Lodge Thursday 5 Jan 12 for a ZSA match, good people, good shootin' Merry Christmas and Semper Fi
  10. 10 yards is the max per rules, but if you practice longer, you will be more confident. In ZSA, we offer "bonus" Zombies, head shots greater than 10 yards as time saving (3 secs off for each hit) but they are generally surrounded by "Meals" (no shoots) so you must use the sights!!! It has helped many of our shooters when they go back to IDPA, the head shots no longer are a concern.
  11. Both games are great, shoot them both, hard shooting back to back though, if I can remember to use cover and reload when I'm allowed, great day. Switching from one set of rules to the other, does force you to think quickly, and that's a good thing.
  12. Yet another reason we started ZSA, shoot whatever gun you have, no power factor, if there is steel, and it don't fall, too bad, take the penalty and keep smiling. Shoot your little gun in 6 or 8 division, be SAFE and have FUN, imagine, a shooting sport where you don't need to spend all day discussing rules and you get to shoot for fun !!! I love this Country, so many choices !!!
  13. Strong hand only. Yeah but if you stuck your arm way out around that corner to get T3 someone might grab your hand, hip throw you and take your gun. So while it'll work, it won't work. We're back to bang bang shuffle shuffle bang bang. Are we talking about an IDPA match? I've trained with real instructors and they don't pretend a wall will protect you if you shuffle really slowly around it letting bad guys know where you are and giving them enough time to aim real good at you. IDPA is about who shoots a stage fastest with the down points included using their prescribed requirements, so anything beyond that is just making up stuff. If you do something that makes you feel "tacticool" then that is your option also. Great point, some "tactical whactical" puts some very slow deliberate down zeros, he wins stage, another shooter goes down 1 up in the shoulder area with a 9MM at "minor" and a miss for 3 extra seconds, does it a tad faster, comes in ok on stage, I put 2 down 3's of the 230 grain variety in the target in 1/10th the time and get an 8 second target, and place at the bottom, who really did well? It's a game boys and girls, nothing "real" about it
  14. I shot IDPA exclusively for several years. I still enjoy the sport and participate in a few matches every year but I cannot in good conscious partake of the "us v. them" mentality which, sadly, is more prevalently observed in the IDPA discipline. Still, I honestly believe that it is a wonderful game and anytime a new shooter asks me to get him/her initiated in the shooting sports, I always choose to baptize them in the IDPA waters simply because it is more "new-shooter-friendly". Eventually, they all end up in the dark side... We do the same thing, it is easier for the new shooter to shoot iDPA, but after they get hit with all the 1/1/2/1/1/ and slicing pies and looking for cover points to reload behind, and near to far, they go to a USPSA match and generally have more fun, just like at ZSA. I shoot and enjoy all 3 games, but remember folks, they are games and games have rules, follow the rules of the game you are playing, be SAFE and have FUN
  15. And this, boys and girls, is exactly why we started ZSA !!! Be SAFE, have FUN and get introduced to competitive shooting, then we bring you to a USPSA match and an IDPA match (which we shoot and officiate regularly)and let you the shooter decide. Play by the rules of the game you are playing, or don't play, very simple.
  16. It's nice to dream, but you will never catch Cliff, for he is The Master of the REVO, Grand Imperial Majestic Ruler of the REVO World, King of the 6 Gun, and I am but his loyal minion and President of his fan club, with just 2 more memebers, we will double the membership !!!
  17. Enjoy revo, if shooting IDPA go after the CDP guys in your class, you can beat them, and rub it in !!! In USPSA, have fun with it. In ZSA, revos can and do place towards the top, at my "Wedding Match" last month Cliff placed 4th overall, against shooters in 24 division !!! That's a 4 to 1 reload disadvantage and he still kicked butt
  18. You get to shoot with my hero every month, consider yourself blessed !!!
  19. Will make this one, you need an RO team?? Husband and wife, no extra charge !!!
  20. If ICORE won't fly, you can always shoot ZSA with a revo in 6 or 8 Divisions !!!! No power factor to worry about and use whatever gear you have for speedloaders or moonclips, all the fun--half the rules !!
