  3. Welcome from a revo shooter in NC
  4. Spent all day at The Range, match is all set up, staple the targets up at 7:00 AM Saturday and let the fun begin !!!
  5. It ain't easy, but it sure is FUN!!! The longer range head shot "Bonus Time Saver" Zombie targets are what makes it cool. I usually set 3 around a "Meal" (no shoot) and you can shave 9 seconds off the time, but hit the "Meal" and it's a 10 second penalty. Makes it interesting for the higher end shooters, and no penalty for not engaging, so the newer shooters can stay with the closer targets and still have a good run.
  6. Mel and I are to come, must see what we have scheduled for ZSA that weekend. Maybe Jr can run things for us
  7. Made in America, right on my back porch. Only a 2 cavity mold and it takes awhile, but I feel it's worth it.
  8. You are a funny guy Craig, the Zombies would look at you as a "Happy Meal" !!! Good luck at S&W,,, oh wait just hit me "Funny BONES" I crack myself up
  9. Talk to your club, we will be glad to set up a ZSA match for you, thanks for looking, John
  10. Good luck!! I hope you guys have a great turnout for your match, the weather should be great, fast Alphas all day long !!
  11. This Saturday, the 19th of Feb 2011, we will be hosting an all day shoot fest at "The Range" in Oxford, NC. , home of "The Carolina Cup", the best outdoor IDPA match of the year. We will have the first ever "Zombie Postal Shoot", the 90 round IDPA classifier and 4 USPSA classifier stages set up over the whole range (bay 5 for rifle and bay 6 for pistol shall remain open for members only to use) and if that is not enough, on bay 4 we will set up an all out Zombie shootin' extravaganza in "The House", stage brief is simple, come home and find your house overrun with Zombies, and starting in the living room start shootin' your way down all 3 hallways, the kitchen , dining room, out the side windows and finish up in the backyard !! Details on the website link below under "Zombie News" page, hope to see some new faces
  12. Since it costs $50.00 to get a piece of paper stating you've made 5 gun master ( my opinion, any shooter that makes that level should be thanked for all he/she has done for the sport), even though you have probably been an IDPA member for ahwile and shot many matches with 5 different guns, maybe the powers that be figure the paper stating your achievments to GM is worth $100.00- $200.00 dollars? Just my take on it. My $50.00 bucks goes to Midway or Natchez for primers.
  13. You guys keep argueing all the rules, I'm going to the loading bench, 3 IDPA matches to shoot this weekend, for me, triggers are more fun than keyboards
  14. amen to that... many special memories made each day at the reloading bench... my 8 year-old daughter has recently upgraded from case feeder to bullet feeder. one day, she aspires to be the handle puller. My favorite memories are when my kids were small and would come out with their little beach pails and pick up brass, now that they are much older and married, they still contribute to my reloading efforts, they convert loaded ammo into reloadable brass and even help me try to stay in shape by allowing ME to bend over and pick up the brass, Love my kids !!!! Best of luck getting yours "pullin' the handle"
  15. Shoot it for awhile then see how it is
  16. Anytime I need anything for a revo, I just contact Bob at 4wheelguns, he knows what to do for me
  17. Welcome to a great forum, I left NJ for America back in the 80's
