Just leave REVO alone, 6 shots at a time, we are a small but dedicated crowd, we don't bother anyone, if you have an 8 shot, just shoot it in another division, if you ain't Jerry, Matt or Cliff, you ain't gunna win anyway, so who cares!!!

My feeling would be no, as I do not have an 8 shot revo, just a bunch of 6 shot. If I had one, my view might be different.

Had mine done about a year ago, love it!!! The 4" fits in the same speed rig as my 4" 625, but had to have the posts on my North Mountain Moonclip Holder trimmed done a tad as the hole in the 686 moonclips is about .030 smaller than .45. I trim my brass down to .980 and call it .38 SSSZ (Super Short Special Zombie), makes the reloads super fast, and make minor with no recoil to speak of. Yes the cost of the clips sucks, but just ask the RO's to PLEASE not step on them and you'll be fine !!!

For anyone shooting the Day/Night/Day match at "The Range" in Oxford, NC (Home of The "Carolina Cup" and 2012 IDPA Nationals) this coming weekend, that may need some low light/no light practice, we are having a ZSA match tomorrow night at Range 37 in Bunnlevel, NC. The match will be SAFE, FUN and a chance to earn some extra "kills" towards the rifle giveaway at the end of the month. You can wear your fishing vest if you want, and shoot from cover and all that, but you don't have to, all ZSA rules apply, but shoot it like IDPA if you want the practice, come out and join us.

I love my revos, it's hard to get enough revo shooters together to support a larger match. I would gladly try to get one going on the East Coast, but we need shooter support.

I am in the middle of way too much right now, our 100th ZSA match this Saturday, a new range hosting ZSA Tuesday night, matches at 2 locations 200 miles apart on Thursday, shooting/working NC Section Match next Fri-Sun, 2 classes to teach this Friday, then off to Kentucky to shoot/work Blue Ridge 3 Gun match. If no one bothers to use a chrono, get rid of the power factor, just a thought, why have a rule that is seldom if ever used or enforced???

I've been having same problem (not the loosing weight, but getting nice and plump around the middle) but I started putting a keeper between my North Mountain and holster (right hand) and that keeps the holster much stiffer and secure with both belts tighter together

That looked to me like IDPA. Do they have the same rules for Production? You are correct. You do not want to fire that 7th round if you are competing in USPSA Revolver - you will get bumped to Open. At least USPSA allows you to load the 7th and 8th round though - not as challenging as IDPA SSR or ESR with a 7 or 8 rd gun, but close. Seriously, you can, however, shoot Production, Limited 10, Limited or Open with your 627 in USPSA without needing to count rounds. Production is the best fit because it is scored minor (you would probably shoot 38 Specials), so you only have to deal with the 10/11 rd vs. 8 rd challenge - you can be reasonably competitive. It will probably cost you 1 or 2 additional reloads on most stages. Get squadded with some single stack competitors shooting Major (limited to 8 rd magazines)- it will help you learn to break down stages faster than trying to figure it out on your own. Limited and Limited 10 will require you to compete with major scoring shooting minor and an 8 round gun vs. 10 or 20+. It can be done, but not by the faint of heart. In Open you get all these challenges as well as competing with optics and porting - truly for those in dire need of extreme humility. You know, your area in WA is just one motivated revolver shooter away from having a functioning ICORE club. ICORE matches are by far the easiest of the 3 sports to set up, score and run. Buy a good 6 shot for IDPA and use your 7 or 8 shot revo in ZSA 8 division, you get to buy a new gun, shoot the one you have, enjoy more shooting and stimulate the economy at the same time, we all win !!! Use your 6 shot in USPSA and get plenty of reload practice, then get to an ICORE match and choose which to shoot, how I love this COUNTRY !!!!

I've seen and heard this so many times, to the point it gets really redundant. This is just a game, in my opinion a very good game at the original outset, but it has turned away from that, as many have pointed out before. The current situation being not knowing how you will be called, or "he got a procedural 'cause he shot it too fast and must have broke cover" just takes the true competitiveness out of it. So for myself, I just made the decision to allow my membership to expire, threw away my card, pulled my SO cert of the wall, and no longer shoot idpa. That being said, I wish all those that still shoot idpa all the best, and hope when you get to a larger match, your score will be a true reflection of how well you shot, not what someone thought you shot. I don't think anyone doubts THAT part of the equation. I am curious to see what happens but must confess that I don't think it will work out. Maybe running full moons would help? -ld Yes, the moonclip conversion is a definate. All my revos have been milled for moonclips, the only way to go as I no longer need speedloaders as I don't shoot from behind blue barrels wearing a vest anymore, call me "retired" from that game!!

I know most here are USPSA shooters, but if you've not tried shootin a ZSA match, you are missing out on a fun time. Basically USPSA freestyle with a twist.
