  1. Very nice. The blue adds a nice touch to the gun. What options did you go for above the Chaos?
  2. +1 for the Hundo. I opted for the flip tray too. Lots easier to load into boxes.
  3. Something I struggle with and still work on consistently. Lead with your eyes, then your gun will follow is what people say... The leading with your eyes really helps with the transition to the following target as you won't over swing that target. Over swinging makes you have to recenter and such which slows down the entire transition aspect.
  4. Honestly, it's not a terrible thing to reload while moving. Specially if it's not slowing you down. The worst side is forgetting to reload and then going to slidelock when you don't want to.
  5. I've been really liking RMR bullets of Everglade bullets. They're cheaper than MG and work fantastically well. You shouldn't need to go with a JHP bullet. As long as the coating is good to 1500 fps you're okay with plated or coated too. I've loaded heavy plated bullets and they worked great. Some say the blue bullets work at 9 major velocities, I haven't tried them. If you're new to reloading, VVN 3n38 is a super safe powder to use. Although your case will be fairly full with a 115 grain bullet.
  6. Welcome. You're in such a fantastic area for the shooting sports. Good luck!
  7. Absolutely agree. At least with a 115 bullet They're super short for 147s at 1.17 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. It's a bad problem to have. If you ever want to kick the habit. Send guns here
  9. CK Guns seems to come with very short throats!
  10. Just to learn myself, what do you mean by tumbling? Is that the same as keyholing?
  11. The powder selection these days really make running 9 major not an issue. If you can load the ammo long it does make feeding a lot more reliable. I do think as 38sc is rimless you'll have less chances of binding. depending on the region you are in, there seems to be more of a following on certain calibers. We shoot a lot of 9 major here in the midwest. South West / East seems to favor 38sc.
  12. A guy at the local club ran a Walther PPQ match for Nationals. Shot extremely well. I think between that and the SIG P320 X5 you have two great guns.
  13. Very nice open gun. CK makes a nice gun.
  14. I think I am going with 20 on the front berm and 15 on the sides. Man that is a lot of dirt though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I have quite a bit of wetlands on my property, I don't think I can go down very far before getting wet. Did you guys use straight dirt? Did you seed it or anything?
  16. Anyone have experience building a private home "action pistol" range on your property? Any recommendations for berm size for a U shape bay? How many total yards of dirt did you end up bringing in if any? I would like to set one up this summer and have an idea of what to setup, but wanted to hear anything recommendations or should have done differently stories. Thanks!
  17. That's nice. Is that an early Chaos or a full custom build?
  18. Dude. Where's all your clothes? lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Not sure on rnd count. Second owner of it, doesn't look to be fired too much. I have some springs inbound. I'm sure it's not fully broken in, as these things seem to take 1500 rnds for breakin.
  20. I hope it's not the gun - It's already running a 7lb recoil spring in it. I didn't put that spring in, I'll verify that it's a 7lb and test again. Thanks!
  21. atlas - what are you pushing for speeds on the 3n38 load?
  22. Any good loads out there for a 5 inch comped gun in minor? No barrel ports, just an IMM Titanium Comp. I was trying HS6 and MG124's at 6gr and the ES would vary enough where functionality suffered on the low end, functioned great on the high end. Bumping it up to 6.3gr Yielded quite a bit more gas for the comp but still not the best for cycling the gun. What are you guys running on your minor comped guns?
  23. Yes. I use Harris and Sons. They're awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
