Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. (Tristar P120) I love the stock 3 dots. It takes standard cz 75 mags. It comes with 2 mecgar cz 75 & +2 baseplates (19 rounds) I also use sarsilmaz 17 rounders. And I used an m&p holster in the vid. Retention didn't work, so it's just a gun bucket. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J320AZ using Tapatalk
  2. I just purchased a P120 from Buds for 400 shipped. I love the thing! I really like the stock trigger and reset. Being a beginner, I think I can go really fast with it. And then when I feel I'm better than the gun, I can get some springs to customize it at CGW. I think I made a good investment with the TriStar P120. Here's some some fun action vids:
  3. Please don't....'quote'....me on that! haha I'm not really sure if its official USPSA. But I do know its paper targets 3 weekends out of the month. Edit: I get e-mails every week for whats going on on the weekend. This is this weekend: Here's what up for the weekend: Saturday, May 13, 2017 The Pro Gun Club USPSA Pistol Match with a classifier Reg: 7:30 to 8:30 Fee: $25 members, $30 non=members + $3.00 for the classifier Please help us with correct change. Sunday May 14/ 2017 The Pro gun Club USPSA Pistol Match with a classifier (same match repeated from Saturday) Reg: 7:30 to 8:30 Fee: $25 members, $30 non=members + $3.00 for the classifier Please help us with correct change. So yeah, I guess they are USPSA matches.
  4. Oh yeah! Haha. I had to find out through USPSAs website and contact list and reach out. They told me you can follow them on Facebook. Search iscope group. They actually sponsor the events. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J320AZ using Tapatalk
  5. I hit the range at least once a week. I would only shoot 50-100 rounds of 9mm. I just picked up one of those laser trainers, and I have one of those Ben Stoeger scaled target packs for dry fire practice, Now that my grip is tuned pretty well, I think I just need to practice my trigger control, so I am live-firing less these days (used to be 2-3 times a week). On striker fired guns, the firing pin is flat in the front, so its cool to dry fire those no worries. On hammer fired guns (like my CZ), I destroyed my firing pin retainer. sheared straight through. I fixed it with CGW parts. Now every time I dry fire, I throw a A-zoom 9mm snap cap in the CZ.
  6. Right, I read that in Mr. Enos's book. What I like to do at range practice is on a fresh paper target at 5 yards, shoot at the left shoulder then the right shoulder as fast as I can. Vary the exercise with pairs and triples on each shoulder.
  7. Oh yes, its quite fun here in the Valley. if anyone is interested and didn't know, Pro Gun club in Boulder City has A super fun 'dynamic' steel match once a month, and paper target matches every weekend besides steel match weekend. So every weekend is something fun. Its about 20 miles from the strip. If you stop by Vegas, you should check it out Saturday or Sunday. Thanks for the kind welcomes
  8. Mr. Jack, I bought a P09 that I love! I shot one steel match with it. Then I bought a P07 (mainly because of the 22 kadet kit). I found I like shooting the p07 way better. It has faster (for me) target acquisition with the 1 inch shorter radius, and for some reason I ride the trigger faster than the full size. Heres a few links of some action vids: I had some mag troubles on this one I blame the wind ;P : my first comp with the P09: Thanks for the welcome guys!
  9. Thank you for the welcome! Ive never been to Kentucky, but I like the Bourbon!
  10. Hello everyone! I just signed up here and wanted to say hi. I am just starting up in pistol competition and thought I'd try this forum out for some learning. Sorry, but I'm not really schooled in online forum etiquette. I tried Glocktalk, but I don't really like it there, so I wanted to try here. I really really really like Mr. Enos's beyond fundamentals book, and look forward to being a grand master one day! Thanks for stopping by!
