    F1

Wow the past three weeks have been CRAZY!! Hell has frozen over, The Force India car got the pole in Spa and is faster than the Ferarri and the Mclaren at Monza. Flav and Pat Symonds are out at Renault. I love Flav, he always make F1 seem way more fun. In interviews he usualy tells it like it is. and you never know what he's going to say. Scott
  2. Ahhhh.. don't you drive a chevey? or a mopar somthing? Just checking for fun
  3. Most of the years (No all) that I go to the Ironman I come home BEAT!!! If someone taped and set the steel on the targets it would be a WAY easier match. You would have to rename the match. "1/2 Ironman", "Easy Ironman" or the "Shoot n' Sleep Ironman" Really, what is $30 bucks in a match like the Ironman. I shoot more than that in ammo on one stage. 30 buck is like 3% of the overall cost of going to the match and yes, it would be great to not have to tape and set. For every shooter that shoots in front of you you could just follow the people/kids who set the stage and work a shooting plan in you head. I'm in. Scott
  4. I have been shooting a gold for about 9 years. I LOVE the gun!!! BUT... I would not recomend the gold. The auto load is cool but if you are going to do week hand reloading with 4 shells in your hand (the fast way) it will slow you down due to the fact you have to wait for it to load the shell out of the magazine. Next. the gun requires the recoil spring and the magazine spring to be in PERFECT balance. The shells in the magazine push on the bolt and if the magazine spring is too strong it pushes it out of battery, If the recoil spring is too strong it won't cycle the bolt and kick the empty shell out. When you get it right it runs great, fast, soft and reliable, but it's a project to get it right. If you do want to run a gold send me a pm and i'll tell you everything I can about how to get it right. I would recomend the FNSLP, same gun without the balance issues. Also look at the Berreta Extrema2, Think benneli with a gas system and VERY strong. Scott
  5. I do miss the old XM. Much bigger play lists and very little dj chatter.

    F1 Racing

It made for great headlines. With Luca Badoer it will most likely work out better. He has been the test driver for many years. Also if you follow F1 very hard you will learn that what Ferrarri says and does are two diffrent things. Well not only Ferrari but all of them. Of course this may be a ploy to get the press off MS so he can test without all of press coverage and may still end up in the car.

Michael does at the presant time have a neck injury. His replacing Massa is still speculation. OFFICIALLY Ferarri has NOT named a replacement driver. The rummer mill is running wild with this story though. and I would love to see him drive again. I think I will wail till the next race and see who is sitting in the car for qualification. Remember they have the option of changing drivers between friday practice and sat qualifing.
  8. If you go on to the speedtv f1 forums they have a picture of him with his helmet on and where the spring hit his helmet and face mask. It looks scary. An inch lower and it might have killed him.
  9. The bimmer forums are really quite good. Lots of professionals, and people who are really knowlagable about BMW's. In my experiance there arnt too many blowhards. The bimmer forums are more like these forums and almost totaly the opposite of the glock and ar15.com forums.
  10. Go to the bimmerforum.com forums. The bimmer forums are VERY, VERY active and are used by bimmer owners all over the world. More info than you could ever use. I'm sure that if you have a question they have already asked it and have multiple answers from some very knowageable people. Scott
  11. it made me squerm in my seat also Thanks for the words of healing. I just want everyone out there to be careful. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
  12. Well since your all shooters, I'll tell you what happened. Then you can either feel sorry for me or call me a dumb @$$. On tuesday I was working on a paper punch binding machine at work and trying to fix it and got 3 finger tips on the right hand and 2 on the left, cut off. and yes one of them was the trigger finger. it might be a while before i can get out and shot again. after the plastic surgon got done he said most of the feeling in the finger tips might be lost. i cant put any pressure on the tips for about 6 weeks. after that we will see how much feeling will be left in the finger pads. who knows i might shoot better if i can't feel the trigger. One of the good thing about this is that I was getting a little burned out on shooting and after a 16 week I might be ready to hit it again. typing this took about 15 min because i can only use my thumb or ring finger on the left hand.

  14. I have to admit, the US bumpers SUCK IT!! Nothing like adding 30lb on each end of a car to make it faster or handle better. I saw that 911 show also. It still cracks me up how the English can make fun of anyone else’s cars. They make the worst cars and bikes in the world. Well maybe, the least reliable. I wouldn’t mind owning a Lotus Esprit or a Lotus anything else, just because Colin Chapman built some of the best handling cars in the world. Of course you always need a separate car for the week to back and forth to work. The Lotus would never make it as a daily driver. You know why the English drink warm beer? Lucas make the refrigerators. Scott
  15. This week I’m watching Wheeler Dealers on HDTheater and I almost choked watching it. In case you don’t know what Wheeler Dealers is, It is an automotive repair show from England. The host Mike Brewer buys used cars, then Edd China does the wrenching to fix them up and then try to sell them at a profit. They work on some cool cars that you don’t see in the US. They worked on a Lancia Delta Intergrale earlier this season. BTW if you ever see one and can get your hands on one get it, Think full spec euro rally car barely street legal in England and very cool and fast. Any way back to my story, this week they pick up a C-4 Corvette, 1984. The headlights won’t rotate and the dash is a little dim. Mike takes it for a drive and says how much he loves the great American 350 V-8, the car is fast and handles o.k. Then he says, and this is where I almost choked, “Except for the dodgy American electronics the car is great”. Holy *&%$, this is from an Englishman, the home of Lotus, Triumph, Rover and Lucas Electrics, The WORST, and I mean by far, the WORST electrics in the world and they call American electronics “dodgy”. I think that take guts to say that on TV. It’s like the pot calling the kettle black. Mike mentioned the Dodgy American electronic multiple times in the show, Like it was common with U.S. cars. Of course the headlight didn’t work because someone had cut the wire trying to fix something else and all the dash need was a new bulb but they replaced the whole dash for 200.00 pounds. Just thought the American mechanics on this board would find that funny. Oh and what is up with the English, I can’t even understand half of what they are saying. Scott
  16. One of the most innovative and greatest artists of the 80's. Also of Taking Heads fame. Did he just perform his songs or did he do Talking Heads music also? They are one of my favorite bands of all time. If you want to see what make David great go get the movie "Stop Making Sense". Scot
  17. Amy Adams played her. What I find strange about the movie and why it's just a little off , is that it was written by Thomas Lennon, yes the same guy who play Lt. Jim Dangle on Reno 911. And also writes most of Reno 911. Scott
  18. I put all my ammo in a big plastic tub. Lugging that up the stairs and out to the truck is excercise enough. Scott
  19. I am not afraid or nervous to fly, It’s my guns that get real nervous. They are really never sure whether they’re going to show up with me or not. They get lonely without me and hate going home to some they don’t know. Scott
  20. This is for all the Mobil 1 fans. Here is the valve cover off my 93 525, It has 147,000 miles on it and has had the oil changed about every 5000 with Mobil 1. The engine looks brand new.
  21. Get a Ponsness/Warren it is the "Dillon" of shotgun reloaders. I looked hard at all of the reloaders and the Dillion 900 is the WORST of all the shotgun reloaders except for the Lee. The Spolar is just like a P/W but 3 times the money. For example I own a P/W 2000 (900) I can take the crapiest shells like the Estate the Federal Top Gun or the Winchester game loads (not the AA ones) and it will make shell that are BETTER than the factory. If you load Win AA or Rem STS hulls the shells come out of the P/W are a thing of beauty. The P/W and the Spolar are the only loaders that support the hull all the way through the loading process. This prevents buckled or crushed shells while loading. It also sizes the entire hull from the base up to almost the top of the hull. The P/W also has a 3 station crimp that puts a taper crimp on the hulls just like the factory shells (this makes reloaded hulls run better in semi-auto shotguns). Untill you have used a P/W you do not know what you have been missing. Two nights ago I loaded 500 rds on the P/W with 100% of the hulls coming out perfect. Scott
  22. That looks like WAAAYYY more than 5000 miles between oil changes. Looks more like Penzoil at 10k or Valvoline at 50k Scott
  23. Speaking of breakfast..is breakfast going to be available at the range this year? Scott
  24. I have also been there when you have to wear a jacket most of time due to the fact that it can be kind of chilly in northern Idaho in early june. On of the important things is that you REALLY need to know your zero on your rifle, Where does it shoot at 20, 40, 60 and 80 yards. You need a good 100yd zero on your shotgun. And the MOST importantant thing is this: Can you still shoot your gun after holding your breath for 5 min. Scott
