  1. My wife went with me up untill 35 weeks pregnant. my son would jump and kick from the gun shots ( mainly the open guns ). He was born 8 lb. 12 oz. and as healthy as can be. He has very good hearing also. The only reason she stopped going was because the heat started bothering her. My advise is to go as long as you can because once the baby gets here she will definantly be going a lot less. I have to edit this because my wife just reminded me of something. She asked the doctor about it when he started kicking and the DR. told her that the baby couldn't hear the shots as much as he could feel them and that it wouldn't effect his hearing as long as she wasn't shooting the gun from her hip. As far as the lead goes I wouldn't recommend her shooting or reloading with lead while she's pregnant. 2. Everywere the law allows, all the time. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
  3. A boy goes to his father and tells him that he is doing a report for school on the difference between theory and reality to which the father replies " Go ask your mom if she would sleep with Sean Connery for one million dollars and then go ask your sister if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for one million dollars and after that go ask your brother if he would sleep with Tom Cruise for two miilion dollars and then report back to me with your findings". The boy headed off on the mission and returned about two hours later with a disturbed look on his face. When his father asked him what he had found out he replied " Well, Mom said that she would sleep with Sean Connery for a million dollars and enjoy every second of it, Sally said that sleeping with Brad Pitt for one million dollars would be a dream come true and Chuck said that he would sleep with Tom Cruise for no less than three million bucks". The father then asked " What did you learn from this endeavor ? " " Well " the son replied " In theory we're Millionaires but in reality we live with a couple of Whores and a Fag ."
  4. It was a simple, all paper, close up, fast stage with a few no shoots and some small poppers thrown in for contrast. I did stage prep four times counting rounds each time I walked through it. 21 rounds, I have 2 mags for my limited gun that will hold 20 rounds +1 barney and I can shoot the whole stage without a reload if I do it just right. I get up to the line and the buzzer goes "beep" and I go "bang" 21 times nice and smooth with perfect flow, no Cranial Flatulence, just like I preped it all the way through to the last target were I got one "BANG" and one "click". Well, the stage was 22 rounds and my time went from 13.? to 16.?. Just goes to show that brain cramps can start before the buzzer just as easy as after.
  5. My two year old son has grown to hate his $130.00 stroller so I found that my Waller bag sits in it perfect and my folding chair tucks into the storage area underneath and the big tires and spring suspension make it real easy to move my gear. It also has a canopy to shade my gear and drinks.

    Todd did it

You have to say the following out loud to someone else for this to have the full effect. I am we Todd did. I am so we Todd did. I am a fall king we Todd. I am sofa king we Todd did. Write it on a piece of paper, take it to a match, have others read it out loud and laugh really hard.

  10. What the f***? OVER. Do they believe, as the left does, that the only ammendments to the Constitution that should count are the ones that they agree with? Let's give the gun grabbers some more ammo against us. Let's show them that we believe that our Constitution is negotiable and that some of it can be dissputed because some people doen't agree with it. It's First Ammendment rights that these shooters were refused entry into the match over just as much as it's Second Ammendment rights that most of us fight to keep. I will investigate this matter and as soon as I've confirmed it (Not that I doen't believe you I just like to get all sides) I will boycott Bill Wilson Products, Cetral Florida Rifle and pistol (Were I shoot an IPSC match every 4th saturday of every month) and anyone else that I find has been involved in keeping shooters from participating in a match because they doen't agree with their freedom of expression just as I have boycotted Smith&Wesson and Ruger because of their pandering to the Socialist gun grabbers in our government and I believe that under their current ownership "THEY SUCK". I will contact everyone in charge of IDPA and C.F.R.&P. and express my feelings about this matter and incourage them to change their way of thinking and I hope that most if not all other members of this forum will do the same. WE have the power to change it but it will only happen if we act. We are loseing more of our rights every day. We sure as hell doen't need to be giveing them away.
  11. My 11 year old son chamber checks out of the catch tray and my 18 month old son puts them in the boxes for me. My wife calls this my assembly line
  12. Shot my first match as a B class shooter today and did REAL BAD. I hyper extended my knee last wednesday playing softball and thought that I could get past it but boy was I wrong. I'm a fast runner and that's about my only advantage in this sport so loosing my legs really effected me both mentally and physically. THIS JUST SUCKS!! Now I have to take a couple of weeks off of shooting to let it heal and that sucks too. Just wanted to vent to some folks that would understand. Thanks!! 13. Thanks Vince. How is USPSA handling this issue until they get it squared away? Has this issue been brought up at any major matches yet? I'm going to E-mail USPSA and ask for a response also. I haven't ran into this yet but, as a R.O. I would feel like a heel if I D.Q.ed someone unfairly. Thanks again:)
  14. Yes!! Any movement or action performed with the finger inside the trigger gaurd during a course of fire other than when targets are being acquired with the intent of shooting them is considered unsafe gunhandling. Rules 8.5.1, 10.3.10, 10.3.11, 10.3.12, and others.
  15. J.B. bore compound & Kroil combo pack from Brownells are the best cleaners I've ever used. I spent several years in the Army and used Breakfree from the time the military started useing it until I got out but I don't know anything about MPRO7. I figure that since you are comparing the two that they are close and I can say that, for cleaning, J.B. & Kroil smoke Breakfree. Unless you shoot in the rain a lot or store your gun for long periods of time lubrication of the rails, link, a drop on the recoil spring and a light coat on the outside of the barrel should be all you need. For my rails I use TW25B which is an extreme environment lubricant but I also have to recommend BE's Slide Glide ( I get my TW25B free ) and I use Lucas gun oil everywere else ( got a large supply of Lucas free also ) but to me gun oil is gun oil and it gets changed after every use anyway. If you're going to shoot in bad weather or store your guns for a long time I recommend motor oil, it's the best. Really hope this helps
  16. You can't miss fast enough to win but you can win fast enough to be called a sandbagger. Or something like that!
  17. 3 years and 49 classifiers later I have finally made B class with a 60.497%. I really look forward to the work it will take to get to 100%.
  18. Got my B Limited card in the mail today but I'm still a C class on the web sight. So does this mean that I'm a C+ or a B-? Do I get to pick what class I want to shoot in at my next match?

  20. Doen't feel bad Ron, I was doing draws at a safe area with my Safe mag in my gun and when I finished I left it in. When I got on line and was told to "load and make ready" I took it out and put it in my mag pouch farthest to my rear. Well guess what I did!! I lost a mag while running without realizing it and reloaded my Safe mag. Needless to say I will never do that again.
  21. I have an 11 year old son who enjoys setting and reading this forum with me and if there are even censored words in a post I will exit out of it as soon as I get to them when he is reading with me. We are Christians and do not like profanity. I also take my wife and childeren to my matches with me and I am quick to express my opinions of profanity around my family to anyone rude enough to use it with disregaurd for those around them. 99% of the poeple who shoot with me respect this. I realize that in most cases and most places in isn't the cool thing to have good morals but to bad. If I found a lot of profanity in this forum then I would not read it. I believe that it is possible to express ourselves without it.
  22. Newguy, Doen't give up!! Were do you shoot? Who do you shoot with? Ask for help at matches. There are all kinds of things that can contribute to speed. The most important thing that helps you gain speed is muscle memory. You can read all kinds of posts and books and watch all the videos in the world but if you do not practice these things often enough to do them without thinking then you will be slow. How often do you practice? How often do you dry fire? All these things contribute. You said "When I'm shooting I doen't feel slow" well, I always feel slowest when I shoot my fastest and visa/versa. When you hear someone say "Doen't think" it's because thinking slows you down. Do you remember every action that you went through after you're done shooting a stage? If so then you doen't have a lot stored in you're muscle memory. You should be reacting through a stage instead of performing deliberate actions. How do you stage prep? After you have gone over the stage as many times as will satisfy you do you run it like you preped it? These are all questions that you need to answer to yourself and ask higher classed shooters for advice on. Sight recovery is in grip so if you have difficulty in this area then you need to work on how you hold the gun. So on and so on. The answers are all out there for you so ASK the questions but if you give up you'll never get the answers that you need. I realy hope I have helped and not confused or hindered with this post. I am sure that there are lots of people that you shoot with that would be more than glad to help you. I KNOW that if you shot with the folks I do there's more help than you could take in. Good luck and stick with it if for nothing more than the pure enjoyment of it. My father always told me not to play with guns. Now days he tells me to just play safe.
  23. Ron, I did the same thing and when I tried to correct the malfunction the hollow point got jammed into the ejector and I thought my gun had somehow welded itself and NOTHING would move. Took me 20 min. to fix it. Thank goodness it happened during practice.
  24. Cypher, Find out how long a round your gun will feed reliably and reload as long as possible out to 1.2in. I've worked up a minor load with 3.9grns of win. 231 ( the only powder I have ever used ) and 180grn. JHP Zero loaded to 1.2in. It makes around 131pf through a schumann ultimatch. I have very little recoil out of a 3lb. 8oz. gun. I've found that overall length has a lot to do with softness of recoil.
  25. At the Florida state match I was shooting with a Master class Limited shooter who was staying at the top of the Master pack. On our last stage of the match I watched in agony as he fired a "POP NO KICK" or a squib as most shooters call it. He zeroed the stage and ended up finishing 16th overall Limited. OH!! By the way! He had let someone else load his ammo for him.
