  1. Yes. My gunsmith seems to think Black nitride QPQ as well for what I want. Knowing who your gunsmith is, I would be inclined to heed his suggestion. Shay at Akai? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. You're going to love that trigger!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Cant say more about Taran and his crew over at TTI! Every time I've called TTI, Taran's answered the phone...He's a rocks star. Here are the twins; G17 and G34. G17 Full grip job Double-undercut TTI connector kit TTI sights G34 Full grip job Double-undercut TTI trigger job TTI connector TTI sights Extended slide release Extended mag release Super-tight barrel/slide lock-up Both shoot like a dream. And yes, the grip work is amazing...hands down!
  4. Taran at TTi all the way...here's why. Taran started Salient years ago and his grip work is second to none. I, myself, had been looking at SAI and their Tier packages for quite some time and decide to try them out. I sent my M&P to them for a Tier 1 internal setup as well as a new set of Warren Tactical sights. I figured what's the worst that could happen...if anything, I'd be out 450 for the work. I called and ordered a curved T1 trigger and sights, mailed out the gun. Very little correspondence after that, then a package showed up at my office... ...not only did they install a Flat-faced trigger instead of a curved one, the front fiber front sight was showing rust, and looked like it had been beaten in with a sledgehammer. No receipt, no tracking number ever given. They said to send it back and they could either put the original parts back in and refund me, or they would install a new front sight. Another two weeks back at SAI...no thanks. Ended up selling the M&P. Needless to say, TTI gets all my work from now on. Couldn't be happier with Taran and Adela there. Tarans sights are awesome and his grip work is amazing!!! Good people there! Btw...the SAI site still isn't up... Good times!
  5. Did you request the salient-style 45degree corner cuts, or is Zev doing those as part of a particular cut package?
  6. I, personally, would never do business with anyone whom has such a poor rating with the BBB. "C" maybe, but "F"...c'mon... http://www.bbb.org/san-diego/business-reviews/video-production-services/the-glock-store-in-san-diego-ca-3001018/
  7. Btw, Glockstore and its sister companies have an F+ rating with the BBB.
  8. Get yourself hardy spacers from shooters connection and order a Dawson mag tuning kit from Dawson precision
  9. Actual over-priced examples and real-world availability of those items would help to further this discussion... As I said earlier, a Brazos gun with a few thousand rounds through it would be a steal at a few hundred dollars less than new $4k+...reason why is because not a lot of people want to wait the 6-24+ months for a builder to build one. Same thing goes for custom plastic guns too. I'd snatch-up a Salient/Taran/Zev glock in a heartbeat for a few hundred less than retail... Supply and demand. I could have bought my new shotgun for $600 more than anyone else had it, cuz it was in high demand...BUT I waited, and I paid less than those previous dealers had it. No tax and free shipping... WOOHOO!
  10. Do you have any idea what the turnaround time is on a Brazos gun right now...? Try 10+ months.
  11. Just picked up my Citori 725 Sporting 30in and LOVE IT!!!!! Bought it from Reeds Sporting Goods...no tax and free shipping too The factory DS chokes stink, so brileys are on the way.
  12. A big thank you to everyone for your input! It's looking like a 30in 725 Sporting is the way to go for what I'll be doing. I was lucky enough to shoot a 30in Citori XS Ultra last night, and while I broke far more birds than I ever had before, I wasn't able to get my mid and front beads in figure eight style due to the high cheek comb on the stock. That was the only part of the gun that didn't feel natural to me, and my instinct has always been to get that figure eight in sight. I have the opportunity to buy the XS Ultra if I want it, for $950, but I'm just not sure if I should get something that feels just right, or try to save some $$$ and get something that I'd need to adjust myself to. For what it's worth, I'm shooting every 4-5 rounds of 25 every Wednesday at our trap/skeet club.
  13. Im calling on the power of the Enos forum gods to help me make a decision on a new multi-use (trap primarily, but maybe skeet and sporting clays at some point) O/U. Went to GanderMountain to shoulder a bunch of shotguns last night and here's what I determined: I love the rib on the XT trap as it feels good looking down it, but it's a beast at almost 9lbs I love the small receiver, loaded ejectors, gel butt pad and mechanical trigger of the 725 Sporting Here are my main questions: Does anyone out there have any experience with either of these shotguns? Which one holds their value more and why? Is there a huge difference between the XT Trap and 725 XT Trap other than mechanical triggers? Would a 30in model for either gun work well as an all-around (using the extended DS chokes of course) shotgun for busting clays? Thanks in advance guys!
  14. I asked Eddie that initially and he said their standard triggers are set at 2.5# unless you want it heavier. I love a light trigger. He also texted me to say that this is the best barrel fitting he's ever done! Sooo excited!!
  15. Just got preview pics from Eddie Garcia at Camerons Custom this afternoon of my soon to have 9mm limited and I can't be more excited. Hes test firing next week, then out for hardchrome. I have absolutely nothing but GREAT things to say about Eddie and his crew there. When I first contacted them, Eddie encouraged me to ask as many questions as I could think of as he wanted me to be completely educated in the build process. Couldn't be more happy to have my dream gun being built by such a great crew! Finished pics will be posted once it's done...
  16. Looking for any dealers that may have a black synthetic stock 21 or 24in Benelli M2 Field in 12 gauge.
  17. Ordered my case of 115gr 9mm fmj today.
  18. Something like this! :-) I LOVE this thread!!! Keep up the great work!
  19. Almost time for Emerald Isle vacation!
